Plain curiosity indeed.

Guys hear this, no matter how flippant a lady cut across when asking a question, be very careful b4 u answer cos most of their questions r nothing but hook lined with worms. Ansa wrongly n watch her withdraw from u or friend zone u

Now back to ur question op, when they ask u such question, itz usually for 3 reasons n 3 reasons alone:
1) they wano know if the coast is clear for colonization. If she really digs ur person.
Most don't want to be the side chick( cant share) even if they'd still end up being.....u know wat I mean

2) they wano know if u can be sincere ( she probably have gone tru ur phone n hv seen d msgs n pics of ur.....)

3) for the gold digas that wano snatch, they want to be sure n know exactly what they r up against . so as to prepare their minds.

For those that just wano tangle with no strings. They wano know how n when d collection wud be taking place.

This is how urs truly always ansa this trickish question:

Girl: do u hv a Gurl friend?

Me: I'm too hawt not to, I'm I not? **raised eyebrow

Or i'd say sure! She looks just like you! Think I met her in my previous life.....smiles

Just be cocky n funny about it but whatever u do never say NO I don't! Even if u dont! She knows u do! Arrrrrh!

Maybe Op you are talking about secondary school boyfriend and girl friend. A lady will not ask you directly from the blue if you got a girl friend.

She will wait for an opportunity to chip that question in,
in the middle of a conversation eg

"What will your girlfriend say about all this?" or

"Your girlfriend must be a lucky girl. What is her name?"

Then the guy will go for defense " I don't have one"
