What is this OP saying about majority not being excited? Ajimobi is not @ the same level with his contenders. He is better by far. He may not have done excellently well, he has another four years to fix the education sector, complete on going projects , improve the welfare of the people in the state and devise smart ways of increasing the IGR of the state.
I listened to all of them during the pre-election campaign, his ideas were on point and achievable. Others were as blank as you could imagine, save Seyi Makinde. OP, if he was not wanted on that seat, he would have been booted out just like Akala in 2011. Let's join hands to move the state forward. K'Oyo le da, Ajumose gbogbo wani.

dats only theory....

Now can we talk abt wat d average oyo man is talking abt!?

What do you think is the need of an average man in Oyo state?

It has been said times without number that elections are not won on the social media...
About 300,000 inhabitants of Oyo state preferred Ajimobi and he has won...

The result was similar to the the last one in the state except that the second place this time went to Accord party.

To me, from available reports, the election in Oyo state was free, I didn't hear of ballot snatching...it was fair, the candidate that won was popular and we should not quickly forget that a lot of people more than 500,000 people voted for Buhari and by extension the APC just two weeks ago...i somewhat doubt the credibility of the results...but we have a governor elect now...

Simply put the change of party at the federal level worked against the other contenders in Oyo state...

yes majority are not happy. The opposition saw that majority of ppl aren't happy with the gov and therefore they all wanted to take advantage of that, but instead of the opposition forming a strong unified force to defeat the incumbent, they each went to the polls differently thereby spliting the votes . Labour party and accord votes would have secured ajimobi defeat.

Wished labour and accord party joined together to send d stingy man away, now they've caused us anoda 4 years of ajimobi, we shar all experience our greatness in his second tenure.. igba e a tuwa Lara, dats wat we should pray for now..

Did you read the part were I said I doubt if the results were credible?

My friend, maybe Ajimobi would have lost suppose Buhari didn't win or if PDP had not gone to the polls with Teslim.

See, the elections have been won and lost...any contrary view na court matter...
Or do you think INEC will read our conversation here and cancel the election?

80% are not happy.. violence in Ibadan.. OP you're just a sore loser and a bloody liar. I live in Ibadan and that for over 25 years.
Where did you conduct your own electorate's reaction poll and what's the veracity of the same? Over 300, 000 Oyo State indigenes voted for Ajimobi and that cannot be gainsayed. Any grouse- head to the tribunal.

The OP is right.
80% of the people are not happy with Ajimobi.
I live in Oyo State.
Ajimobi is a paparazzi government.
But Akala, Ladoja, Teslim and Makinde selfish interest cost the state another 4year of hardship.
They split the parties into groups
The masses are feeling the brunts of Ajimobi
Salaries are owned.
Pension are not paid
Workers are on temporary appointment
He employed them some month prior to election.
I feel the pain of my people
Poverty is at the highest level.
Ajimobi is for the rich
I am not an indigene and i dont work for the government.
But Oyo people are suffering.
Please and please dont quote me for ezpressing myself
I wouldnt have written but most people felt the OP is lying
Primary school children stay under the tree as classroom
Its really sad
Most Oyo people are not too literate so could not be online
Oyo State is suffering
At OP I salute your courage for speaking out
I pray God will send Oyo people a messiah
Your leaders are the most self centred people in Nigeria.
Oyo people are hardworking
Ajimobi did not perform.

LAUTECH staffs havent recieved a dine dis year. he constructed some double lane in ogbomoso but u can stand for 1 hr nd count how many cars dat pass der. d truth is people are badly suffering. d man has won but dat was only becos of selfish interest of Ladoja, Akala and Teslim.

Oyo state has massive land that could be developed but how will a governor that visit his constituence once in 4 years know what to do.
Their are deathtraps of bridges that links Oyo State to Ogun State and Kwara State.
Oyo state have the majority of farmers but they work with hoe and cutlass
14 tractors each were claimed to be bought. But after the paparazzi only 1 remain in each local government.
Rig are in the local governments yet borehole were not supply to the community.
Electricity in most part of Oyo State is once in a week
Oyo State produce the largest cassava in the south west yet no processing factory to mop it up
Government job is only for party members and their croonies
I weep for my people because i feel their pain
Chairmanship and councillor reps are appointed by the government.
Ajimobis development in majority of the Local government was a motor park that was recently built
I can keep on and on.

This is actually true. The votes were more for APC to consolidate on winning the presidential election, and the fact that people would rather put up with an APC govt than go back to the old days of PDP (Akala and Ladoja are seen by many as PDP) when political violence thrived. Ajimobi hasn't really done so much, that's even given the low standards set by previous governments. He's not worthy of a change agent we all yearn to see in government.

How can majority not be happy when he got the majority of votes in the state?

The elections are over now, the winners and the loosers should work together to move the state forward.
He dint get majority of the votes but he has the highest no of votes (they are 2 different things). And wat hapnd was dat majority votes were splitted btw Ladoja(Accord),Akala(LP),Teslim(PDP) and Seyi Makinde(SDP)

It is Possible that majority are not happy, like i said after the primaries of the parties, Ajimobi's enemies were scatttered in 4 cardinal points, and he was going to win with simple majority. I predicted 38-40% of votes for him, and i don't think i was that much off the mark.

If the election had occured before the presidential election, Ladoja would have given him a closer fight, and who knows maybe win sef, but in this one , the margin was over 75,000. That population will fill up Abuja National stadium sitting stands, and there would be 30,000 others still left ouside.

The selfishness of two men cost the good people of Oyo State this election just like they did in 2011. You need to see the breakdown of the results; If Ladoja and Akala had joined forces, Ajimobi would have been sent packing.
Akala is to be blamed though cos Ladoja reached out to him but Akala was just too selfish. 2019 will be different though, I am very optimistic.

Ajimobi won clean and clear . To me he has performed creditably well and 100% better than Ladoja and Akala Govt. Put together . Ibadan is now a cleaner environment , than before . Security is better now , no more hooligalism in molete , iwo road , challenge e.t.c . When the civil servant are complaining , has it come to their knowledge the problem the country is going tru now , the economy is down now now , FG is finding it difficult to pay state allocation due to the fall in the price of oil . And Oyo state solely depend on federal allocation , they are not like the oil state that collect from the 13& derivation fund . So time is difficult for them and many other state like them .Another thing I noticed about Ibadan people is they depend so much on crumbs from politians. that is why they termed him stingy ,AMALA politics is enshrine in the lifestyle of many people .,majority that you mentioned are jobless and they expect Ajimobi to practice the politics of Adedibu , Akala and Ladoja of this world ,dipping there hands in the state cofers and share anny how that's not governance . Dude , we are in the 21st century , politics has gone beyond that . All we want to see is performance not lining up in front of any politician house in the morning , afternoon and night to receive tokens and called it divident of democracy . Tell me if you are gainfully employed, will you be saying all this ,on the issue of other parties not forming alliance , if all of them present Ladoja for example , my choice might be Seyi Makinde , I might not like Ladoja style and will go for the other candidate so ,likewise if they present Akala my. Choice might be Ladoja , so I might not vote for Akala and do a protest vote for Ajimobi .in a nut shell it might not do serious damage to him like many suggest , To me Ajimobi has tried so he deserve a second term which has already been given to him , he only need to perform improve on the first. But the other contestants showed no signs they would be better, they were all familiar terrain excluding Makinde. If there are complaints of these guy about the educational sector, there is a very greater likelihood he inherited the rot from his immediate predecessor Akala, the same man contesting again grin

When i hear complaints about salaries and pensions unpaid, i ask if his other old horse trying to come back will do any better under the current situation, Is it the same Akala who could not pay 11,500 minimum wage to civil servants? grin For Goodness sake this man monthly wage bill has increased from 3billion naira monthly he inherited from Akala to 5 billion naira monthly, a whopping 2 billion naira, and the FG allocation from Abuja has dropped from roughly 4 billion naira monthly to 3 billion naira monthly, it is no brainer he will have problems paying salaries. Most of our Governors are lazy to think outside the box in increasing the IGR of the state, or do not have the political will power to do such. Akala or Ladoja would have fumbled too, trust me, it might have been worse sef.
