One boring thing about church service this days is the long prayers. Don't get me wrong. I'm not against spending time praying to God or stuff like that. I just feel that when prayers get prolonged people loose interest most times especially when they have run out of words.

I remember a certain time I was in a church service and the prayers lasted an hour! Knowing too well that the bible emphasises praying straight to the point and avoiding repetition of words while praying (God is not deaf after all) so why then do people pray for too long?

Short or long it all depends on who is praying

It's a sin to be in a prayer just to get the admiration of the congregation or to show off as somebody who know the scripture passages. This is according to a Radio programme on Kapital fm Abuja today by an MFM pastor Peter Obi of Lugbe region.

It doesn't matter the time frame for prayer as long as it is genuine and the prayer not ill intended.

Whether long or short prayer, it depends on your faith.
So many people like op, mistake prayers to be just asking whatever you need from God. But, praising and worshiping God, telling him how great he is, is also prayer, and can last all day.

Depends on the leading of the spirit. Buh some persons are not led by the spirit. To some they feel the longer the prayer the better.

SHORT OR LONG prayer anyone is ok just put faith and ur prayer is anwser.with just "RISE" u can ressurate a dead man when ur faith is unshakeable .
