The man was right in all she said in that video. With all that large nostril and big thick lips and being 6ft3" isn't helping matters - Who wants a fellow man for a wife? I don't want to be beaten up by a tomboy. SirShymexx, please do justice to this topic - I'm not very good in making analysis when it comes to issues of this nature. 4 Likes |

Cococandy, what do you think? They said Nigerian men are not romantic. And I've been buying shawarma for these girls with my hard earned cash from my truckpushing business and you know how daunting that task can be in a tropical region. 2 Likes |

Truckpusher: I think some are. So buying shawarma is your definition of romantic ? Pls go and serenade her at her work place in the presence of her boss when she least expects it. Then we will know you're serious. 4 Likes |

T3Amo: I honestly can't put my head around what she's blabbing about cos all the excuses she gave aren't peculiar to Nigerian men from Nigeria - it's a black thing. I'm not into everything she said, ditto most of my friends, and we're all from London. - I'm tall (slightly above 6'2) and I don't feel comfortable around tall chics - I prefer 5'8/5'7 and below. Two of the chics I'm checking are like 5'10, and lawd knows I'm never comfortable walking around with them, even when they wear flats. Heels are a NO NO around me when you're that tall, or I'll probably move away a little. Now imagine 6'3 giant - GTFOH. Ain't no one tryna walking around with a chic that'll be looking down on him - you'll naturally feel intimidated cos you're used to walking around being taller than everyone else. Now imagine ya own chic being taller than you. Then sex with extremely tall chics isn't really that much fun due to the extremely big bones. It doesn't give the same type of feeling, to be honest. That said, I won't mind making babies with a chic that's like 5'10 (max) cos I definitely want my kids to play basketball or American football. - Age: she's 33 for fvck sake. Who on this planet doesn't care about age, and a chic with extremely high mileage? She's very close to menopause and most likely damaged goods. So, that isn't a Nigerian from Nigeria a la freshie thing. It's universal. - Like seriously, who wants a parrot and an unnecessarily forward chic as his chic? Coupled of the fact that most of them are always angry (angry black women). As a guy, you need ya space from time to time. That as well isn't even a Nigerian thing. I would have taken her seriously if she had cited nuances in experiences, cultural differences, and the fact that relationships like that are somewhat difficult cos you won't be able to understand their own perspective on things from time to time (you will most likely view things differently). Coupled with the fact that most times there won't be much to talk about cos the subject-matter will be limited. And too many awkward moments If she had given these excuses, I probably would be able to relate - but I can't relate to the tripe she spouted in that video. She needs to stick to white guys - ain't no one checking for her ar.se, man. I've probably only checked two naija chics from Naij (one in college and a next one in Uni). It was just awkward, to be honest. Great girls, but their interpretation of everything was always different. When things are like that, it's always difficult to be yourself cos they won't be able to relate. And you can't force yourself to be what you're not, just to please people. For example: when I'm at home or not going anywhere I've to dress up - I can just throw on my tracksuit with hoodie, and run around with that. But to a typical naija chic, that's some "ghetto thug" shiit, but to folks from ya world, it's normal. Too many things to cite, man. But this heifer is a time waster, swear down! 9 Likes 1 Share |

cococandy:So all that sharwama is nothing? Ok oh, when I was growing up people were using chewing gum now I've decided to upgrade to shawarma yet you're saying I'm not romantic. On a serious note ,how many Nigerian girls are even romantic to start with ? even when they are romantic they are always expecting that every relationship must end in marriage or they are making material gains . How many Nigerian ladies out there actually have a relationship with a mindset that it might lead to nothing and enjoy it while it lasts - The moment you decide that you're no longer interested in the whole thing they'll start kicking up dust ,even threatening you in subtle manner . My sister ,you can only get what you deserve from your society - you can't be acting like a desperate ho and expect to be respected . Nigerian girls think that a relationship with a particular guy is a means to an end. They should grow up first and we will accord them with their respect. 2 Likes |

Well blame and counter blame. Who's to blame? Who's not to blame? If our so called society didn't look down on single girls over a certain age, would they be 'desperate' for marriage? If we weren't so stuck in the old ways of slut-shaming and body counting would the ladies feel used for just having a relationship that involved sex without marriage? Think about it. How did the phrases 'old cargo', 'over used commodity', etc. come to be? If not the constant judging of women who have relationships that don't lead to marriage? With those prevalent attitude among the general black public, are you surprised the women want more commitment out of a relationship than just fun? Cause and effect. You can't eat your cakes and have it back. Truckpusher: 7 Likes 3 Shares |

Truckpusher:Bros, you're forgetting one thing: most Christian Naija ladies heed the popular advice from some pastors, and indeed the patriarchal culture- that you can only get into a romantic relationship when you are ready to settle down. Getting into a relationship for "experience" is regarded as a 'sin'. Thus, the ladies, having grown up with such a mentality, would naturally be seeking to 'tie' any man who professes love for her . 1 Like 1 Share |

babyosisi:if the man actually did all those because his wife is from another race or ethnicity, just know something is wrong somehow. Maybe him not obliging would cause him to lose whatsoever he got via the woman. I don't think being on the same page with your wife has anything to do with stereotyping whole as one. I'm a Nigerian, prolly the last generation Nigerian. I believe in common sense and not cultural craps of "man this, woman that" Personally, I would do anything to make my marriage work( when i marry) but if it doesn't, may heaven bear me witness that I did tried my best. Common sense goes a long way 9 Likes |

Truckpusher:in this case there's no making it right. Na lose lose situation. You date for fun, you're a Ho. Some will call you 'that lose thing I used to fvck' when the relationship and the fun is over. You only date for someone who might marry you, you're a desperado. SMH. Re: Dating Nigerian Men by Truckpusher(m): 11:13pm On Apr 25, 2015 |
cococandy:Your black sisters aren't suffering at all unless they've been running with the wrong guy for all the wrong reasons. Women from emerging economies like Nigeria enjoy more as they basically do nothing. They only make babies ,drive expensive big cars with too many domestic staff which makes them to grow fat. Women married to rich Nigerians don't complain when they have too much money at their disposal . Trust me ,our women enjoy more than their counterparts all over the world - But if you want equality ,then you should be making your own money and contribute at least 60% then I won't mind being your emasculated black man , your indoor cat. You can't eat all that cake and ask for equality though with love everything would be fine but there is a limit and that boundary threshold must be respected after all he who pays the piper dictates the tune. 3 Likes |

Truckpusher: Lol. Not picking on the chic, but everything she said is basically an excuse to mask the lack of suitors. I honestly don't know why she had to blame Nigerian men for that. I'd wager that the US is like the UK, just like the rest of the black diaspora in the west. The chic is far older than me, and 80-90% of my friends have got at least one kid (some had the first kid during teenage years in College). And the rest of us who're still living that free life with no baggage, date chics younger than us, and we look at chics around our age as damaged goods. So, who's checking for a 33-year old chic that's as tall as a giant? Err, I'd say with the availability of so many beautiful young chics around - she's better off asking her parents to hook her up with some Nigerian guy in Nigeria; any Nigerian man finding it difficult to find a suitable partner in America (it's somewhat difficult for some Nigerian guys to get black chics out here, hence a lot settle for white chics); or an older partner who's either a divorcee, widower, or any guy with kids - than faking the funk on youtube. 1 Like |

I was not born here, but I have spent majority of my life outside of Nigeria. I am more American in nature than Nigerian.....so I understand what she's saying. To add to what she said, it's rare to meet a hygienic Nigerian man, a Nigerian atheist, and a humble Nigerian man. And the one that I know and likes me, I am neither sexually nor emotionally attracted to them. It's not really a battle because it's not by force to date a Nigerian man. I have dated outside of the African and black community. An Americanized Nigerian girl dating a fresh off the boat Nigerian man is a big NO, I wouldn't advise it. For instance, I can't even stand staying at my Nigerian male friend's company without wanting to strangle him. I've had to school him several times, which was no small feat...... he's so annoying with his Nigerian cultural craaaaaaaaapppppppppp. I am strong in my opinions and I can be very intimidating......I've been told. And I don't expect a Nigerian man to understand me. They always try to change women to become submissive, meek in nature and to practice some stupid gender roles from the 50s. Anyway, it's not my issue. I only replied because I was tagged. 10 Likes |
