The overflow from Jonathan's incompetence will continue for a while.

Don't under estimate the damage he and the PDP implicated on Nigeria. If you expect the bloom of PDP planted destruction to stop on the day Jonathan leaves the villa , you must be a novice with the thought process of a kitchen blender.

The bolded is your first disappointment, more will come.
Ok this is where we disagree, I'm not looking out to be disappointed. I just want a government that shows they care, I was very happy that Osinbajo went to Enugu to sympathize with the victims, this what I want to see. More important than those visits is using that opportunity to tell the populace what they intend to do to reduce such incidents in future. Going with the saying "Never let a crisis go to waste". With all the tanker accidents that's happened around the country I personally would have used that opportunity to talk about regulations we intend put forward with regards to safety especially concerning all these huge trucks. You see trucks that are supposed to be riding on 10 tires with 8, even the 8 are in bad shape. You see containers/tankers leaning over almost looking like they're about to fall over on the roads. When you put these things forward during a "tragedy" or series of tragedies, people that would normally oppose won't be able to

With all these terrorist attacks this would have been a good opportunity to start educating the populace on what to look out for and such because people will be more inclined to listen.

So again this is not about disappointment, this is about hoping for better more meaningful communication with citizens rather "I condemn this, I condemn that"

-Thursday, June 4 2015: Over 31 -killed in Adamawa state to Boko Haram Attack

Total Number of Death:±100
The rule of thumb is to multiply any death figures in Nigeria by a factor of 3 to be closer to the true figure
So death toll is somewhere about 250-300

it's pretty obvious that what ever cause Boko Haram are fighting for has nothing to do with whether being a Christian or Muslim. Am a Christian by religion and believe most of these people killed are Muslims and Boko Haram claim to be Muslims, so why kill ur fellow religion brothers and sisters? A Muslim Man is now the number one man in the country and why don't dey cease fire and dialogue? These people are confirm terrorist and should be wipe out of the surface of this nation by fire or by force with no MERCY.

C'mon ma'am, that is not what the law meant. . . It only made punishment stricter for those who commit sexual offences for those under 11 years old, it still does not mean one can go about committing sexual offences to those from 12 - 18 (though I wish they made it for those under 18 years old stricter) not that they can officially have sex at age 11.

Very soon this so called NAIRALAND Website will be closed down for allowing all these haters freetime on its website.Buhari won election by majority vote. Are you the one that will close it? When GEJ was being vilified, did you say haters were allowed 'freetime'? undecided Y'all started with the insults on the office of the president with reckless abandon and I do not see that changing anytime soon. . .so therefore bear with it because it has come to stay. . . wink

You sound mature. The military seems to be losing it, since after his election. I would have prefered a situation where he stays put, personally monitor operations and debriefing as the C-in-C probably make amends were needed.

I don't get it? Why is there no much publicity about this carnage , but during Jonathan we would have seen serious news on paper and TV about the killings.

That's the problem I have with APC supporters. You all know what you want but you keep seeking for it from the wrong source.

You want communication in government but you didn't notice that PMB is not a good communicator during his campaign. He Neva spoke more than 3 minutes in all his campaign rallies.

I know you want the kind of public enlightenment Fashola put in place during the Ebola fight. But that didn't happen overnight. Fashola has been a good communicator from the days of his campaign and somebody that understand the power of the media.

You know what you want but PMB doesn't have it... that's the disappointment I am talking about.

I've never been in the game of humiliting the office of the presidency.
But the APCs took it a step above the bar, giving presidence to humiliation of the presidency, and so it there turn to swallow same pill.
