Your testimony is inspiring........... Always put your trust in God.

ewa2014:
Good morning house...

Thank you all for the advise and all especially when I was curious as to the letter of change of intent.

I am now in the US and below is my story:

Firstly, I sent in the letter "change of travel plans" since my visa was granted for vacation in February... So I informed the embassy that I was now preggies and would be embarking on the vacation with my Hubby but would stay back to have my baby.

I got the generic reply that my visa allows for medicals but was advised to get a doctor, pay all my bills and get evidence of payments. This reply came in the morning of my trip.

Point of Entry was JFK, the queue was long but I was taken forward cos I'm quite heavy. I came in with Hubby so he answered all 4 questions we were asked :

Where are u coming from? Nigeria.
Have you been to Liberia, Sierra Leone, etc in the last one month? No.
Purpose of trip? Vacation and my wife would stay back to have our baby.
How are you paying for that? Cash.
He looks at the custom form and noticed we declared over $10000 and he stamps us in for 6 months.

No secondary inspection. No Agriculture. And yes when we dropped the custom form, they only asked what we intended to use the over 10k dollars for, and hubby replied to pay for medical bills. Shikena. They dint count to confirm the amount at all.

That's how we entered o. No document was checked even though I had my hospital correspondence, appointment confirmation, change of travel plans, accommodation documents, etc etc.

I believe strongly that it was God all the way.

Advice to all, put all ur paper works together and ultimately just Trust God.

Hello all. Am new here though I have been reading the comments here for a while. I would like to know if anyone here has ever given birth in Orlando, Florida. If there's anyone, what hospital did you use ? Thanks.

Most experiences shared here have been around Houston, Chicago,Elapaso and the likes. I would really love to know about any Orlando experiences. I intend going on vacation there sometime in January 2016 though...

Thanks y'all. I'm really encouraged to reapply after reading your posts.God's perfect will be done!

Sorry i have not been able to reply your mail. Its been quite hectic for me.

As regards "Strong Ties" it can be Financial(i.e.properties,bank deposit, personal business etc), Social (e.g serving as an exco of a professional organisation) or marital/Family . Just something strong enough to bring you back home.

Personally, i will rather a pregnant woman apply and get denied in Abuja than Lagos, they are more lenient. Lagos caters to about 900 applicants per day while Abuja caters to 500 per day. The tendency to rush things and make wrong decisions is higher in Lagos.

If you are up to it You can apply again using Abuja. There is nothing much you should change in your story because you are good to go. However,i will suggest you merge both accounts into one. some VO dont have the patience to peruse multiple bank statements. I have encountered the black female VO before not sure she likes this birthing project. I wish you the best.

I don't think she is a black American. Talks more like an African immigrant.Maybe she wants "y'all " to stay back and develop your country .
OR
On a second thought maybe it took her years to get the pali that y'all wanna stroll across the border to obtain . grin

You need a copy of the BC, not original. There's no expedited service, just send it with a priority express envelope which is more or less overnight (I guess that's the expedited service you're referring to).

You have to send your money order to innovate services first and they'll send you a confirmation email. Print the email (that's your proof of payment) and include with all the other documents then send to the Nigerian embassy. Just make sure you include a priority express envelope with the documents so they can send it back to you overnight.
Hope I haven't confused you sha.

Thanks o jare. The whole process has been giving me headache and I have just a week to get that visa. I have finished filling the online form o but all the mailing-back-and-forth and no time I just decided to call an agent. That way by God's grace I will get the visa sometime next week. It's better I avoid stories and not feel penny wise pound foolish at the end of the day

Please try again and may the Lord favour u

What about entry via Mexico?
For those worried about entry via US, there is another option.

Mexico will let you in if you have a valid US visa.
So enter Mexico and then cross over to USA via road.

Advantages-It is less used way, better chances of going through.
If refused entry, you go back to Mexico and try again another day. If you directly fly to US, they may turn you back and you have to go back to home country.

Cost, discomfort would be higher this way, I agree.

Any comments?

For those who are in Middle East.
There is a CBP counter in Abu Dhabi..I guess only Ethihad flies from there.
(http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Air-India-seeks-US-pre-clearance-travel-facility-at-Delhi-Mumbai-airports/articleshow/47636842.cms)...Go through the entire article.

If you clear CBP from here, then you will enter USA proper without the Customs worries.

Good evening everyone. Am back again to give a little update.
Ok, Obgy sent an email askinge to get in touch asap, called n asked why they wanted me to contact them, "MrsDan, we are pleased you got in touch, we have tried to contact you since Febuary but we could not. We reviewed your account and will want to make a refund of $1253:00. Dr B.. said he lost sleep over your case. Can you advise how we can wire the money over?"
I paid the Obgy $2525 with understanding they will do all tests, scan n check my blood due to gestational diabeties but they only scanned once n didnt seem to have any appointment with me. Before he delivered the baby I told him how unhappy I was cos I felt I was overcharged n they didnt keep to their part of the agreement which he just shrug his shoulder. Left it their n went home.

I just want to encourage mothers here if you are not happy, no harm in politely mentioning.
My baby is 6months now.
I wish everyone well.
God bless you all.
