Our Company NATE FARMS ENT NIG LTD is an annoying and irritating company focused on getting advertising without paying for it

We claim that we can build and supply greenhouse material, Agricultural input, tools and machineries.
We also claim that we can supply you the below materials.
UV treated film
Insect treated nets
Drip Line/tapes
Automatic /manual vent rollers

We claim that we can also construct Hydroponic soiless system and aquaponic the method of growing fish and vegetable under one greenhouse and even though we cannot point to any customers we are not bothered

On daily basis i receive calls, mails and sms from intending farmers, farmers and people that need information on several aspects of vegetables planting, most especially tomato.
Yes. You can easily make millions of naira from your tomato farm the same way you can easily make zero naira.
The facts that candidate A succeeded using a particular method in a specific location does not guarantee that B will succeed
Please and please do get some knowledge, understudy some practical farmers, do your research before venturing into common vegetable farming as some people will put it.
Most callers have bought the seed and nurse the vegetables without adequate knowledge.
And then the questions::
"When do i transplant?
"How do i treat the soil?
"Can I apply NPK?
" When is the right time to apply?
"What quantity to apply?
and so forth.
What applies in my area may not apply in your area.
Our soil texture and organic content are completely different.
There is so much that can not be taught on phone.

Pls, I am a young and aspiring agro-preneur in the south south. I would to establish some contacts with mass wholesalers of commercial tomato sale. Pretty sound arguments on this platform so far. Buh truth be told, for those of us who wish to start small, it is only smart to start by being a wholesaler. I have got a huge market to sell to. All I need Is someone business-minded enough to have a distributor per se in the south. If anyone is interested, reach me on 08140788616.

To be candid, no tomatoes farm will yield 100 tons per hectare unless it is grown in a green house. Dangote farm postulation is just a pipe dream and that is why farmers in Kadawa, Kano refused his seeds and asked him to try it out on his demonstration to see how it works first.

The problem with most young farmers is that they want to become overnight millionaire in farming business! It just does not work that way. We have people who just want to attend a 3 hours seminar and then start their own farm immediately and most times they always fail. They are deceived by those peddling those seminars and when they finally go into it, they find out its not that easy and profitable and they end up frustrated.

Farming is a vocation and it takes time and experience to become very profitable.

read some of your post and saw your location is abuja. I will like to have your contact for some investment ideas(farm produce). you can reach me with ceegee22000@gmail.com or better still can i have your email? im also in abuja at the moment. cheers

Choiceman, the plastic mulch goes for N3000 per roll(1.2m x 100m) in the factory at Onitsha. Asked Jasper7 and he says this can last for 3 - 4 months. You can pre-order from China or Thailand: Landing cost at about N25k per roll (1.4m x 400m) or from benin republic: N30k (2m x 300m)...made in Israel, sold around Porto Novo. The foreign ones *pictures attached acts as pest repplent(silver side) and weed control(dark side)

Its been observed that tomato price is usually high between the month of April through August, September.
Start planning now.
Most people are rushing into farm to start now. The probability is that you might not meet the market at good price.
Why dont you start your planning for next season now?
You ve got no excuse to be jobless

I found this and i hope it will help someone:

How to Avoid Spider Mites in a Tomato Garden

Spider mites (Tetranychus spp.) can ruin a tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) garden when they colonize the undersides of leaves and suck plant juices. Tiny arachnids, spider mites are in the same family as spiders and ticks and are one of the major pest problems of tomato plants. Grown primarily as annuals, tomatoes are perennial in subtropical climates, such as U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 10 and 11. To enjoy a good crop of tomatoes, gardeners benefit from understanding how to avoid spider mite infestations.

1. Remove leaf litter and other debris from the planting area. Spider mites overwinter in cracks, crevices and protected areas. Do not compost infested leaf litter unless your compost pile becomes hot enough to kill insects, advises the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.

2. Inspect undersides of tomato plant leaves with a 10x hand lens before you purchase commercially grown tomato plants. Spider mites look like tiny dots, so they are not easily detected by the naked eye until the plant is heavily infested and silken webs are present. Alternatively, place a white sheet of paper under the tomato plant leaves and shake the plant to dislodge mites onto the paper where they are easier to see. Do not purchase infested plants.

3. Transplant tomatoes into the garden as soon as the soil warms up to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Nighttime temperatures between 58 and 69 degrees and daytime temperatures below 90 degrees are optimal for tomato plant growth and production. Blossoms fail to produce pollen when temperatures drop below 55 degrees. Flowers drop when temperatures rise above 95 degrees before 10 a.m., according to the Colorado State University Extension.

4. Spray dusty tomato plants and adjacent areas with water, as spider mite outbreaks often occur in dusty locations. Regular forceful spraying of tomato plants, with care to reach the undersides of leaves, helps prevent spider mites from colonizing on your plants, according to the University of California Statewide Integrated Pest Management Program. Wash tomato plants early in the morning to give the leaves time to dry before nightfall.

5. Irrigate your tomato plants to keep them moist but not wet. Water-stressed tomato plants are more susceptible to spider mite infestations.

6. Avoid the use of chemical insecticides, which kill spider mite predators and can stimulate spider mite reproduction.

7. Pick off infested leaves and destroy them. When a spider mite infestation affects only a few leaves, removing the infested leaves by hand can be effective to avoid colonization of this pest.

8. Spray infested plants with horticultural oil or insecticidal soap to kill spider mites. Follow product recommendations for proper mixing and preparation. Make certain to cover the undersides of leaves thoroughly. Test a plant to make certain the product does not damage it. Do not use oil or soap sprays on water-stressed plants or when temperatures are above 90 degrees. Repeat applications may be necessary.

9. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers, which promote lush plant growth and encourage spider mites.

10. Destroy infested plants if control is not achieved. Clean up the planting area by removing debris, and plant fall tomatoes in August. Fall tomato crops generally experience fewer insect problems.
