It is extremely disturbing that a majority of people contesting this observation are females. Although I think the Op must have envisaged these attacks also. However, I think there are valuable lessons from his genuine concerns.
While it is true that the hotel serves various purposes and could be used by anybody at anytime based on necessities, it is important that our general conduct in such hotels could easily send either negative or positive impression about our moral values and decency.
I do subscribe to the reasoning of some of the feminists here castigating the Op for the perceived false generalisations because there is absolutely nothing wrong in taking a picture of you in a nice environment especially when you are on vacation or on a tourist visitation. It could be that you want to have the same kind of facilities in your new house or something but I must share the same sentiment as the Op to a large extent based on the following questions.
What is the moral value of a lady taking picture "of herself" in a hotel room?
What is the decency consideration of a lady taking pictures of "sensitive parts only" and posting same on social media?
My conclusion is that while there are few exceptions, majority do that to promote themselves for certain immoral and degrading ventures.

I think people should becareful not to judge in this case. I took a picture in my friends house. Trust me her house is big and very beautiful. The girl na omo baba Olowo. Some idiots thought it was a hotel because everything was set, the furniture's were neat, it looked like a hotel setting. It's just totally wrong to assume that someone was in a hotel. If u have correct money, u can even turn your house to look like the inside of a plane. How about people that go on official business in another state and just steal time to take pictures of their hotel room. It's wrong to assume that she is wiv a man.

What's wrong in going to hotel or taking pix in the hotel? This guy is still living in the age, get it right, hotel is a home away from home, a lot of people come to hotel to copy and make good use of this unique environment without bias mind, taking pix in the hotel isn't a crime.
