Is it not a no-brainer that any covering beyond the shoulder should be banned now? It is pathetic that some sympathisers of the evil group called Boko Haram are protesting against such.

Innocent lives have been lost with people using the covering to perpetrate their dastardly evil acts. Do we now need a Supreme Being or an Angel to come down, to tell us to we need to take precaution, especially in the usage of the burqa or hijab?

Indeed, religion is the opium of the people. God did not give us brain not to be able reason out some things for ourselves. We will be daft if we cannot reason that we need to take precaution and protect each other by limiting the head covering to the shoulder.

Banning Hijab may not be a problem but knowing our uniformed men, they will overdo it on the pretext of 'searching and frisking' for concealed bombs

If there should be bodily search and frisking, then, female police officers and army should do it, not males.

We should protect the dignity of the muslim women because I'm sure only few Boko Haram-influenced ones give the rest of the decent women bad name.

Am a Muslim and I support the Army on these, I even support the motion to ban hijab that flows below the shoulder such that something can be wrapped underneath, the sisters should manage with scarf, as for burka, that one should be banned totally sef, as a Muslim I don't see the need covering ur face, we don't have desert storms here. Even Allah said, ur face is permissible to be seen, and again d suicide bombers are taking advantage of it.


Hijab ==> scarf ; till the insurgency ends

I am a Christian and I have travelled round. Even in the US or Europe, men do not frisk women. Women are frisked only by fellow women. Pls let's act like sensitive people.

Only the first part of your post is in order, Islam and tolerance? Dude find another thing to say. Cartoon from a faraway Europe country caused death of tens in Nigeria, you call that tolerance? Boko Haram bombed mosques in Jos, Muslims started burning churches, tolerance? Dude go boil beans abeg. The only difference between Islam and Boko Haram is the name. Islam is the only religion that defends their god rather than the other way round. That's NOT religious TOLERANCE.
