Some pictures of Ibadan will give an indication of what congestion and planlessness is about.

Anambra is well planned and properly mapped out and still has a lot of room for future expansion.

No be vex my brother, pictures they say speaks a thousand words.
We are still waiting for the aerial views of Ibadan, Abeokuta, Osogbo etc just like below. I hope you are not scared of something LOL

Flyoruboy1:

These are fine pix I must admit, compared to those dreadfully ugly high-rise pictures from AnambraDota or whatever his name is. Every state in the country has its nice spots. No doubt. But what about the areas the guy talked about? The congested areas? Y'all should treat the real issues and not cosmetics, coz the guy did raise some important points. undecided

Guy, this isn't an Imo vs. Anambra vs. Enugu thread where you can beat the usual chest. This is about Anambra, dammit! You can't pick and decide where you want to see, just like me asking you to show me Abalaliki skyline. I can decide to show you the SW best too, which is Lagos (since obviously Anambra is the BEST the SE has to offer). Abeg go rest. I have showed you a handful ogun state ultra-modern estates that shyt all over anything you all have shown so far, not even lag. If you want to see Ibadan and Ogun sklyine and nice areas like you all are showing here, visit the following threads and feast your eyes: https://www.nairaland.com/2303392/recent-beautiful-pictures-ibadan-pride

I have given you links to visit to judge for yourself -- those threads I provided links to can be perused in under a few minutes. This your diversion is very childish. This is about Anambra, not Ibadan, Abeokuta, or Osogbo.

I like Yorubas for their zeal and craft. LOL

So you have suddenly decided to compare a rustic roof sitting on top of a dilapidated mud house to a step-tile red European roof on brick and cement house? Chai yorubas are very good LOL

Aareonakakanfo:
A STUDY has shown that more than 71 per cent of Anambra citizens are poor , against the published national average of 69 per cent.
This disturbing trend, according to the Director of the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Centre LSD), Dr Otive Igbuzor, in his welcome address at a one-day Voice to the People (V2P) Policy Dialogue on Anambra state 2015 Budget and Emerging Issues in Awka yesterday, exists irrespective of the fact that the state is renowned for commercial activities.

Igbuzor explained that the high rate of urbanisation in the state has led to overcrowding, resulting in pollution, diseases, social vices, congestion, housing shortages, unemployment, inadequate solid-waste management among other social challenges.

To curb the trend, Igbuzor urged the people to hold government accountable. This, he believes would lead to improved responsiveness and service delivery.

A lecturer at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Dr Uzochukwu Amakom, delivered lecture on Anambra State Budget and Budgeting 2015: Emerging Issues.

Yinmu. Some of SW urban cities may have brown roofs owing to their early settlement dating back into centuries and still standing, but you will NEVER find mud houses in the urban areas -- mud houses are only in remote villages, which isn't unique to the region. Una sef get shitty slums so don't act all santimonious. For the last time chino, I'm not Aba. goro or whatever, this is about Anambra so quit the diversion. cheesy

Jeez! Guy please take down the pix of Ibadan airport, it's an eyesore. Even a local motor park in SE is not like this. The truth is that most yolobas sit in their mud houses in the SW and think the rest of Nigeria is poo. Except Lagos which is a former capital, no SW state can match Anambra in terms of infrastructure. You can take this to the bank.
