Good morning people and happy celebration to all Muslims on the thread, aseyi samodun. Please what accommodation is suitable for someone using West Houston medical centre,i understand soul care is best for people using oakbend, its rather unfortunate that the two plans we made for accommodation have decided to turn upside down, but I know God will surly make way. Many thanks for anticipated responses on cheap accommodation. Thank you |

Oya my story. Lemme start with medview. Flew medview from ph to Lagos. My intention was to spend about a week with my siblings and parents ( Abeg i don miss them). Got to airport on time.. Their policy on their website is not to carry beyond 28weeks Initially it was 34 weeks as long as u go with ur Dr's report. But somehow it changed to 28 weeks ( like a website update) I called customer care speaking English upon English... I finally resolved to praying and going to the airport like that. So at the airport... I flew at 32 + weeks. They didn't notice I was preggy sef, I had to tell them. They asked for my fit to fly. I was sent to another guy who's their medical Dr. I introduced myself as a colleague.. We just talked Nd laughed and he gave approval for them to carry me. |

Fast forward to travel day.... Got to MMIA by 7:50 pm. No one shld attempt this o...It's best to go early...so there's time to resolve any issues. Weighing bags first wasted my time... Removing things and reweighing etc... Chai... They were busy shouting I shldnt bend ( my siblings were there to help me thank God). The naija lufthansa staff were super nice at this level. After I was done with documents screening and bag search.. I met the devil face to face wearing uniform.this lady said I'm 33 weeks so I can't fly. I opened lufthansa pregnancy policy and showed her... She took my phone upstairs and showed whoever.. She spent a long time there. Only to come back down when check in counter has closed to tell me she won't take me on the flight. See gobe... Like play, she throway face o. I was just laughing... Was sent to United counter... Since my ticket issuer was United (was trying to avoid Houston poe). Those ones were pissed off. Left my ticket opened so I don't incur extra charges ( no show charge). I had to go back home. I was super glad my siblings were waiting for me. And my mum got a nice man to allow her pack at the departure drop off till I was ready to release them. All this while I was calm and even laughing... My bae was pissed off, my dad same thing, Inshort everyone. As soon as I got home my calmness failed o.... See cry en 4 Likes |

I forgot to add that she said NCAA were the the ones that gave orders that airlines shldnt carry more than 32 weeks. Mscheew That night my hubby sent lufthansa an email. In d morning waited patiently till 8:30 to call their office ( official time on their website). In the morning we prayed a prayer of agreement ( the power of a couples prayer is beyond explaining). I told God I didn't wanna pay any extra charge... Called them... They said I shld sort my ish with my ticket issuer "United" as per United has to reroute me. Problem is they can't reroute me without a reason or hearing from lufthansa... So back and forth calling, my DH was calling and calling too. It was like we were going in circles. My hubby didn't mind getting another flight (airfrance)... That's how I started crying o.... That I didn't want us to spend any extra penny cos of this situation. ( I had to remind God I'm a tither o). By noon no way out... No reply from lufthansa Nigeria ( naija people en) Called their Naija office again and I requested to speak with the same person I had been talking to. Hmmm that was how I was given the station managers number. I called and explained he now asked me to come to the airport. Vavavoom I first went to his office, office locked his number off. I sent him a text and I just waited patiently near his office...That's how I saw one dude wearing their uniform and I approached him. He advised I go to NCAA office( just at the departure hall) and explain my self. Got to NCAA explained what happened and they said above 7 month's it's dangerous to fly. I had to explain I'm a Dr and 7 months is different from 28weeks. A woman is pregnant for 9months and not 10 months. After a little lecturing... I showed them what lufthansa said on their website. Was asked if I showed the devil I encountered the previous day. I said yes. Tables turned they now said they were taking my case up against the airline. I filled a form. While I was done station manager called.... That's how I went to see him. He apologized on their behalf, photocopied my fit to fly. Nd told me to call United to put my ticket back online. And told me to go get my bags... He wld resolve everything and I wld fly that day . 2 Likes |

Oya flight time. My sisters asked me to make up wear A jeans and b smart. The previous day I looked too stressed. My sister followed me that she wanna just eye the woman. Lol As the woman sighted me, she disappeared o. My sister was already pointing at her. Lol This time every level was fast, they were now super nice... As per they recognized me yesterday. Those beg beg money people that search our bags... Started the usual skill na... I told them my story. Na so them begin pity me. Like they shld even give me money. Oya check in desk... was checked in....my fit to fly was asked for, he just glanced at it and checked me in. NCAA called me at this point. And I told them I was waiting to get my boarding pass. When I was done will come over. Na me come dey tell them to forget the case. But I just wanted an Apology from that lady. Lol Time to board I saw the lady again.... She started forming phone call hahhahahahhaaha. Was asked for the photocopy of my fit to fly( expected that because it was supposed to b collected at the check in desk). Na so I board o (after hours of waiting cos I got to the airport very early this time) 2 Likes |

By now I had limited time to board my connecting flight. But the wheelchair guy was even more worried about it than me. Entered the office.. She dropped my documents in a pike of others... Comman see people mostly white we like 2 blacks... They were many. I just said a prayer and was singing praises in my heart. I wanted to make it for my connecting flight. To digress a little. There was this white lady her records showed she has a history.. Arrest or something.... They took her into am office finger print bla bla bla, enough cbp guys entered with her.... The drilled her till I heard my name... I was done and they were still drilling her. Hello? Hi Why are you here? Vacation to shop for my baby to have my baby here. Where? Houston Have you contacted a Dr? Yer Do u have anything to show as regards this? Showed him email correspondence and hospital quotes. Have you made any deposit? The hospital doesn't take deposit till u arrive. How do u intend to pay? Cash. My husband is coming when I'm almost due. How much do you have on u? 4k When is ur husband coming? Bleep.xx When are you due? Bleep.xx Ok that will b all ma'am... Stamps me in till March To agriculture I saw different specimens on their table.. One particular one was Groundnut with the back on it. It looked already roasted but the back was there. What do u have? I mentioned what I cld jare... Any meat, chicken fish? No And fresh fruits and vegetables? No... Vegetables are dried. Any seeds? No Passed my bag through the machine... Opened one of the bag.. He searched and searched nothing was seized In that bag I had knorr chicken but used my tshirt to wrap like I folded the tshirt. Removed all my wraps on my noodles Had palm oil I put it in lucozade bottle. ( Since they are same color) 2 bottles of groundnut Garri Ugu Bitterleafy Achi ( Abeg i love Bitterleaf soup) Peppersoup spice (inside salad cream bottle. My mum went to "oto" to buy it lol) One spice for women who just put to bed ( trust my mum) same oto, in salad cream bottle too Dried pepper That very big hollandai custard lol. Milk Milo Ovaltine Inshort I carried all sort can't type all jare. The wheelchair pusher tried o..he was so fast and was more in a hurry to take me to my connecting flight than me sef. Tipped him 5 dols. He honestly deserved more. (But 5 dols is 1k hahhahahahhaaha) Made my connecting flight... This is d End of d story. If I remember more will drop it 13 Likes |

This was the reason i choose to fly direct from Port Harcourt. So much hassle from Lagos. I flew Airfrance from PH at 36 weeks. When i tried to book lufthanza was told they don't fly more than 32 weeks despite what is written on their website, i quickly jumped over to AF. Pele on your travel hassles. firsttymum: |

Anytime I read a poe story or something really important I ensure my hubby reads it.... I save it or send it to him, or show when we r about to sleep. All I know is that he must read it. So Houston POE was a no except ofcourse he's following. When this whole ordeal happened... United initial other option was to put me on their direct flight to Houston( pay d difference if there is)... Before they now said they have to hear from lufthansa first. My bae didn't wanna hear of Houston at all. |
