I asked some of them working for me in one of our site why suddenly they are everywhere in Anambra State & they told me that it is very hard in their land to get job & there are too much jealousy which results in witchcraft!.They told me that the people of Anambra are very rich & are always building one thing or the other & that cost of living here is also very cheap!. They told me that we are very friendly & accommodating!.I was astonished at their reply!....Omanbala Amaka!

I am talking about ab0ki people who flood down here even when they don't have anything doing . that is not the kind of population we need as 95% of them can't even rent one room to live, most of them sleep on streets and shops.
Not only at Onitsha even Nnewi,Umuahia and owerri are still same story.

My source in The Anambra State education ministry told me that by first quater of 2014 last year that Primary & Secondary school enrolment was close to 2Million pupils!.There are massive demand for more Schools in the State!.

Mbanu!.... We are different!. You should know that some of these people are not Nigerians,but some are Togolese,Niger,Chadians Senegalese, Malians,Camerounians, Beninese etc!. A booming economy always attract cheap labour!. For instance, to dig a Water borehole now in Anambra State is between 300 to 600thousand Naira unlike in the past when it was very expensive!.What we need to do is to be pro-active in matters concerning Security,Homelessness, taxation etc!

You're not far from the truth bros, i guess it's because our people would rather bring labourers from outside because they are cheaper and our people no longer go for menial jobs and standard of living here is higher.




I was in my country home Nibo a fortnight ago for a burial, was surprised when i went to visit an uncle and overhead some guys conversing in Yoruba language from the next compound, enquiries from my uncle was that his neighbour brought those boys from Lagos to dig a well for him because getting our boys to do same job was too expensive if at all you'd see any who'll agree to do such menial job. Guys from the west are everywhere. I've met masons, carpenters etc all from the west in very remote villages

Not true. Anambra IGR is presently around 1.5b unofficially while it is officially 1.3b presently. My wife works with the ministry of finance here in Awka so l have access to certain classified dossiers. The opening of the Oba International Trade Center and West Africa Trade Centre at Ogbunike am sure Anambra's IGR will cross 5b mark. The 3 malls and investments/automobile firms/Oil & Gas/Refinery development will push the IGR towards 8-10b in few years. Anambra has the capacity to achieve it unhindered.

In case you are not aware, there is facebook page by the peter obi team where they dish all sorts of nonsense about obiano after he refused to allow the thief peter obi to be his godfather. It was from that page that this article was copied from. Obiano is trying to correct the several fraud perpetrated by peter obi for 8 years and I know it is not an easy task, especially when this same man almost bought the media over portraying himself as a saint.

Talking about ANSU, are you aware ANSU went on nearly 3 years strike during peter obi's tenure and yet there was no noise about it, this same ANSU has not considered any strike action since obiano took over and yet you want to allow rumors sway your opinion. Obi is touted for doing this and that in education but he left ANSU in shambles, the first positions Anambra people are taking now in national competitions started happening after teachers salaries were raised by Obiano and paid as at when due which is a great incentive.. He said the target for the budget year is 3 billion Naira & over,but from the first quater of this year they have reached between 1.3 to 1.5billion!.

Obi had 8 years to materialize his grand plan which he failed to do. The facts are there on ground.. Obiano has increased salaries of teachers and pays them as at when due.. These are the things that matters in governance of which peter obi failed to do.

Industrialist Urges Govt. On Exorbitant Taxes, Levies

An industrialist, Dr Godwin Maduka has called on Anambra government to support indigenous investors in the state by reducing the levies and taxes imposed on them.
Speaking in an interview with (NAN), in Umuchukwu Orumba South Local Government Area on Sunday, Maduka said that the reduction would encourage more indigenous investors.
He said that lots of wealthy people from the state who would want to invest back home might be discouraged because of the heavy levies and taxes placed on their business outfits.
“It is good to ask investors to pay levies and taxes as Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) but it should be regulated and given some considerations.
“Government should have in mind the part investors play in the development of the state and job creation so as not to scare them,’’ he said.
Maduka explained that most investments made by indigenous investors in the state were not generating much as compared to those in big cities with more turnover due to the large population.
He said that that if indigenous investors were encouraged to come to their home state to invest, unemployment would be reduced and the rush to big cities would be curtailed.
Maduka said that the state government could drive its IGR by placing reasonable levies and taxes on the investors to attract other more of them into the state.
“If a state is known for imposing high taxes and levies on investors, it will naturally discourage others to come and site their industries in such a state.
“If government is serious about reducing crime, creating employment and increasing its revenue generation profile, it should encourage investors to reposition Anambra state,’’ he said.
He also called on Anambra indigenes to imbibe the `Think Home Philosophy’ and make the state truly the ‘Light of the Nation’.........A True Omanbala Son of the Soil.........A Patron of THINK HOME PHILOSOPHY!!!
