TonyeBarcanista, i actually wished the tribunal in akwa ibom had cancelled the election in all the 31 LGA in akwa ibom state, i would have bin very happy cos im looking for a way to seal the lips of all APC fans in on nairaland.
There is no way udom wouldn't have defeated umana in all the 31 LGA of my state.
Same is applicable rivers. APC can't win any state in the SS.
APC will lose woefully in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivers states. They won't and can't win a single polling booth.

op, you seem to be making a huge miscalculation. Wike would not stand for the election. EFCC had long being waiting for this oppurtunity to meticulously look into his records as the minister of Education.

Forget the hype, Rivers people would now implement the zoning arrangement they had with amaechi. They cannot have another ikwere man govern them for another 8 years.

Hmmm,ur calculations remain ur opinion. Weda Dakuku wins he still remains Ikwerre man's puppet. All we knw nw is d Ikwerre is ruling d state at all levels tru divide n rule system. Dey both knw wat dey r doing.

When I said that one should first understand Nigeria's history in other to properly articulate herpolitics. Some clowns thought I was only being my "naughty self". Whatsoever that has taken place or is still taking place in Akwa Ibom and Rivers States is not new or surprising to me Daniel Obi and any other who knows his history well. Major Adewale Ademoyega in his book " WHY WE STRUCK" (I like referencing him becausehe is from this region west of the Niger) and Brigadier-General Godwin Alabi Isama's "THE TRAGEDY OF VICTORY" (though he traces his paternal lineage to somewhere in or around Anioma area in present day Delta State, but Isama is more Kwaran than Deltan) both emphatically stated that the per-independence political configuration "as arranged by the colonial masters" divided Nigeria (The Zoo) into 3 parts - The North with over 60% of the land mass while the East and West together amounted to less than 40%. This scenario was replicated in the major political party's power base, with the NPC (Northern People's Congress) in the North, AG (Action Group) in the West and NCNC (National Council of Nigeria and Cameroon) mainly in the East. Of all these parties, the NCNC and AG were the more progressive and nationalistic in organization and outlook, while the NPC was ultra consecutive and extremely sectional in organization and outlook (they don't give a f**k about it!!!). Ademoyega and other authors who gave account of this era uniformly posited that Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe (an arch rival of the Sarduana) was arm-twisted by the Brits through Okoti Ebeo by virtue of the party funding into agreeing to form a new government with the NPC, while the AG was to be in the opposition. It was here that the politics of "Divide and Rule" was adopted by the NPC from our colonialists. The politics of the first republic was a game whereby the ruling party was to first destroy the opposition by whatever means possible after which they (ruling party) will purge themselves off all undesirable element (NCNC and Akintola's UPP) which by necessity they had to "pretend to assimilate" in order to effectively destroy the opposition. "Power at all cost" with negligible or no opposition at all, has always being the prime principle of the NPC politics. It was this unreasonable adherence to this principle that ignited what cumulated into what became the Civil war. The NPC Hegemony according to MajorAdemoyega is like the Mafia. It has no organizational structure or head office anywhere, it cannot sue and be sued, it cannot be arrested orbehold but its effects are seen and felt. The mafia is an ideology anchored on certain prime principles which everyone who considers himselfa member of the family must obey.Today, the NPC Hegemony has like it has always been, metamorphosis into the APC (All Progressive Congress). The principle of "a Northern first" is made manifest in the obviously lobsided appointments of the regime. What we are now witnessing in Akwa Ibom and Rivers States is only but an organized move to destroy the opposition. Mehn, they tried to destroy the opposition in the first republic and we fought a bitter civil war. They are trying to destroy one nowand only God knows what the outcome will be.When injustice become Law, resistance becomes a duty. Daniel Obi

TonyeBarcanista:
The verdict of the Rivers state election petition tribunal that nullified the April 11 Electoral victory of PDP and Governor Nyesome Wike and ordered for a rerun should not in any way cause sadness in the camp of the good people of Rivers state and members of the PDP.

Though unfortunate and unexpected, the forthcoming re-run election presents another opportunity for Rivers people to tell APC and their praise-singers that the PDP is the only political party known in Rivers state. The PDP has also been presented a golden opportunity to reaffirm that Rivers state is the party's undisputed Political Capital of Southern Nigeria.

Rivers state shall remind the APC with our votes that we believe in the leadership of Nyesome Wike and the PDP. The APC shall be told once again that Rivers people will never vote for a party that shut down our judiciary and our State House of Assembly for over TWO years under the inglorious and painful administration of Rotimi Amaechi. APC will understand through the thumb-print of Rivers people that Riverians will not be cowed to submit to a party that uphold the 97% and 5% principles. APC will learn the hard way that Rivers state is determined to return them to the dust-bin of history.

PDP fans, members and supporters should see the gain in all these and start mobilising for 100% Wike's victory at the rerun poll. Of a truth, the re-run will once again shut the mouth of APC propagandists in Aso rock, Daura and Bourdillon.

Finally, I want to advice APC and Dakuku Peterside to stop wasting their looted funds on a goose chase. They should be more concerned with the present power they hold in Aso Rock because we are coming to reclaim it through the votes of patriotic Nigerians in 2019. Rivers is PDP and PDP is Rivers. God Sparing our lives, we shall meet at the poll.

God Bless PDP!! No Vacancy In The Brick House!!! God Bless Nigeria!!!

This is a school boy political analysis. I wonder how this made it to the front page. Be serious pls

So also it beats my imagination that the owner of nairaland will allow such charade of political thugery make front page. It is really demeaning and a glorification of mediocrity in place of meritocracy. Any smear campaign of calumny against any candidate either ways, should be totally abhored. For me, the collective will of the of registered eligible voters in rivers state should prevail.

Rivers election is a repeat of Jonathan vs Buhari. It is a battle of common sense and justice against oppression.

Rivers State consists of Upland and Riverine just like Nigeria is North and South. From 1999 till this day all Governors of Rivers State have been from Igbo speaking upland area whereas the original agreement was 8 years a piece. The worst of all is that an Ikwerre man Chibuike Amaechi was the last Governor and it is morally wrong for Ikwerre to continue being Governor. The Etches, Ogbas, Ekpeyes, Kalabaris, Ogonis, Elemes, Andonis, Ibanis and several other people cannot watch this happen.

Now copy this. It is impossible for PDP to win this upcoming election with Wike as candidate. Dumo and Tonye indicated interest but were overridden by Mama Peace in 2014. Only a Kalabari or Ogoni PDP candidate can defeat Dakuku. Wike and his Igbo supporters cannot determine Rivers Governor.

Someone should quote me on this one.
