Does she pay u guys for every comment she posts? I seriously don't get it. She once typed in one of d pages that she will be on ghost mode and some peeps started taggin her to come back, to me all these are confirmed BS... Why r u guys beggin her,if she wants to leave let her, I roll in rap section thread wella than this sport section and I have not read or seen when dey discussed abt a certain stubborn lady and the rap thread is still going on fine, Y'all should quit this chivalrous attitude for someone who doesn't respect other people's view.... If you do not enjoy her participation on this thread, you can skip it. We do and I find it entertaining when a chick likes football. It is not regular and she is actually sharp.

So you might call it what you want but she is one of the few people who keeps most football threads alive. Without people like her, many of us will not be here.

Hahaha....... Sir....... There are a lot of things I don't support as a Christian......

And part of that is being "overly religious" about things..........

If I bring up my displeasure with the world in the manner u did........ Mehnn!!! I'll end up not achieving my aims of "showing people" the light......

There are ways to go about things..... And there are ways to say things......but Religion has limited the views of many to see things in "black and white" views only.......*smiles*

Sir, I'm a Christian in the mold of 1 John.3v9....... Yeah.... But I will not take the "judgmental route" on others because of their "HAIRSTYLES".

Some Christians even see keeping a well groomed Afro as "flamboyant"...... This issue has many sides....... So YOU CAN'T JUST SAY IT SHOWS INDISCIPLINE.

In my post, I said.... Yes!! It shows indiscipline and no vision in "SOME" BUT NOT "IN ALL"......

I never said u were wrong or right...... But I did say..... It's better to just move over some things because of the "MULTI-FACETED" NATURE THEY COMMAND.....

DISCIPLINE AND SUCCESS WILL ALWAYS BE AN ISSUE OF THE HEART/MIND......... NEVER HAIRSTYLES......

BUT THAT IS NOT TO SAY I WANT EVERYONE TO BE CARE-FREE WITH WHATEVER HAIRSTYLE THEY WANT......... I BELIEVE IN THE APPLICATION OF MODERATION TO APPROPRIATE ISSUES OF LIFE SO AS TO KEEP ONE "GROUNDED".........

It is baffling how you can equate a player (CR7) shouting at a team mate for wasting a very good opportunity or beating himself for losing a goal to Suarez biting.

How are they related. I repeat a player that is passionate about his team winning will not lose his head to bite a player. So please explain how is it the same thing. Do not write they are both passionate because I have told you why you can not use passion in that context.

I have noticed you derive joy in talking of point to make it look you are being smart. Talk about the point. Let me quote linked here.

How can you still link CR7 and Suarez in the discussion bits me.

look u are not supposed to bite opponents or shout at ur teammates they are both bad habits, earth to you if u still don't get what im trying to say, who cares which is worse they are both bad habits u won't want ur child bitting or shouting at his teammates at least i wouldn't if i had a son.

Familar Foes Fight For Final Berth

The semi-finals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Chile 2015 are set to serve up two
mouth-watering duels on Thursday, between teams that have scores to settle with
each other.
In the first match, Mali and Belgium will lock horns for the second time in the
competition, although this time the rewards are much greater than the three
points that were available during the group stage.
Although it may seem like an age since the two teams played out an exciting,
albeit goalless draw on 18 October – the second day of the tournament – in what
was the opening game of Group D, it does provide some pointers to what may
happen in La Serena, where fans are likely to witness a distinct clash of styles.
In the later encounter, Mexico and Nigeria go head-to-head in a repeat of the final
last time around, at UAE 2013, where the Africans secured a resounding 3-0
victory to claim their fourth U-17 World Cup crown, more than any other nation.
Both teams were highly fancied to emerge victorious from Chile 2015, but only
one will have the opportunity to prove those predictions correct.

Match of the day
Mali-Belgium (La Serena, 17.00)
While the Malians and Belgians have already crossed paths in Chile, the
circumstances are significantly different to what they were almost three weeks
ago. Les Aiglonnets completely dominated the group-phase fixture, and only failed
to pick up all three points due to profligate finishing.
Since then, however, they have seemingly solved that problem, scoring a healthy
2.25 goals per match, while continuing to display considerable defensive fortitude
– indeed, they have now gone 290 minutes without conceding.
Belgium, meanwhile, no longer have the look of the team that barely managed two
attempts on goal – neither of which found the target – versus Mali. Having
improved the tactical side of their game beyond recognition, they have become a
dogged unit that excels at closing down space.
Although Les Diablotins have found the net just five times at the tournament, three
of those strikes have come in the knockout stage, during which they are also yet
to concede a goal.

The other match
Mexico-Nigeria (Concepcion, 20.00)
Ever since the Final Draw for Chile 2015 mapped out the route to glory, Mexico
and Nigeria have been well aware that they might meet in the last four. With the
exception of a defeat by a talented Croatian side in their final Group A match,
after qualification had already been achieved, the Africans have exhibited
sensational form.
Playing a style founded on relentless attacking play, the Golden Eaglets are
spearheaded by the prolific Victor Osimhen, who has notched eight goals so far
and is one of seven players who have contributed to the team’s overall tally of
17, which equates to an impressive average of 3.4 goals per match.
That said, Mexico already have experience of negating free-scoring opponents in
this competition, having seen off Germany, who came into their group match with
a record of eight goals in two games. In addition, El Tri are able to boast the
second-best defence of the four semi-finalists, with just two goals conceded. Like
their opponents, they have been able to share the goals around, with seven
players contributing a total of ten successful strikes.

Player to watch
Dante Rigo (Belgium)
The young PSV Eindhoven midfielder has not only brought discipline and balance
to Belgium’s starting XI, but he has also contributed well-executed set pieces and
pivotal goals. Against the disciplined Malians, Rigo could provide the key to
unlocking an extremely tight defence.

The stat
100 – The win percentage that both Nigeria and Mexico possess at the semi-final
stage of the U-17 World Cup. While the Africans have advanced to the final seven
times out of seven, the CONCACAF representatives have achieved the same feat
three times out of three. Obviously, one of those successful runs will come to an
end on Thursday.

The words
“I’ll be honest, our appetite has only grown as the tournament has progressed.
And so our target is now to lift the trophy. Winning is the best way to learn, and
it will also encourage the fans and football authorities back in Mali to stick with
this policy of blooding young players, so that we can perhaps one day win the
senior World Cup,” Baye Ba, Mali coach.
Match schedule
Semi-finals, 5 November (all times local)
Mali-Belgium (La Serena, 17.00)
Mexico-Nigeria (Concepcion, 20.00)

Is the fact that the nigga is about to equal or even break a record not enough incentive for him to merit that title? They keep putting a bunch of nobody-gives-a-shiiiiit-about-em players in every game as if my guy no dey dust competition for golden boot

Where are Mali and Belgium at the U17 level. 2 first time semi finalists unlike Nigeria and Mexico hu have won d cup 4times and 2ce respectively. Look u can either insult her back or ignore her, that is what you would do if she were a man so don't run a campaign about the issue and in turn victimize yourself. She doesn't have to be like anyone else, who cares if other girls just read but don't comment alot of guys also do the same thing but that doesn't stop u from interacting. Neither of u should have to leave because u guys can disagree on everything else but u support the same Nigeria so for Buhari's sake move on my brother be the bigger man. BTW I predict 4-0 Nigeria.

Yes o. I like the spirit. We are winning the cup for keeps. This will b d 3rd time we will b laying our hands on this particular trophy. Brazil kept d particular one lifted by Nduka Ugbade and Wilson Oruma.

Nigeria will trash Mexico by a wide margin.

Fifa.com really is biased for putting Rigo as "player to watch".......... Osimhen stands on the threshold of history and should get that "attention".

Anyway, they can have it..... Osimhen, go show them they picked "the wrong guy".........*smiles*

Meanwhile, the stats do interest me......

Nigeria- 7 semis b4 Chile 2015 (never lost)
Mexico- 3 semis b4 Chile 2015 (never lost)

This will be Nigeria's 8th and Mexico's 4th Semi-final..........

A team's semi-final "unbeaten" run will continue while one will end.........hmmm.....

Hopefully, Nigeria makes it 8 wins out of 8 semi-finals................*smiles*

Meanwhile, I hope early friday morning is the time Osimhen enters the history books as the record goal scorer in a single tournament..... Thus taking Nigeria to the final...... Yep..... I wish Osimhen 2 gls against mexico..... *smiles*

Well, even if na just "1", making the final is more important and he can "set" a new record on the "grandest stage of all" in cadet soccer (u-17 level).

All the best Golden Eaglets......... Godspeed......*smiles*

I am asking you to discuss in line of the discussion. You have done this many times. CR7 shouts at himself and hits his head when he plays poorly and he shouts at his team mates when they are wrong. Steven Gerard used to do it a lot.

It is not a bad habit when you are spurring your players on. You can not equate shouting at your players to do better to being silly on the field by biting an opponent.

You are using a different point to make the point stick and it makes me repeat myself again. They are not the same. CR7 is trying to spur his team mates to better themselves. Just as he pushes himself to achieve the extra ordinary.

Luis Suarez and Diego Costa do their tantrums at the detriment of their teams. They are totally different points.

I want a youngster mad and furious when he is not doing well. Whether on the pitch or in school. I want a youngster ready to crack his books and train until he is the best.

I want to see a youngster fighting on the pitch and motivating his players to play better. If the player plays stupidly, I want the youngster shouting and letting the other player who made a mistake know how important every chance is.

I do not want a youngster getting himself expelled from School or fighting his opponents on the pitch. That does not help the team or the youngster in any way.

Darkness can not take away darkness. Blasting anyone to chase the person out of the thread is not the way to change the person's attitude.

If you are subtle, the person will notice and stop.

Most times, the e-fights go on during the tournament proper, when the teams of the threads are playing. The regulars here hardly have these duels.

She sometimes get hurt. That is enough to pull your leg of the throttle. Blasting her and telling others to let her leave is not ideal.

This is a relationship that span for years.

I remember arguing with her about Nacho joining City. That is almost two years ago. Telling her to leave will mean losing a long term understanding.

I do not think blasting her will encourage other ladies to stay.

Sir Goodjoe, funny enough, I have an interesting feeling you "witnessed" my young childhood......

This was part of the kind of child I grew up to be not just academically but on the field..... Yep.... I played soccer for my school.... *smiles*

Within school, I starred for my class and though among the youngest, I was "the captain" coz I always gave my "absolute best" on the field..... Boyyy!!! I was a fighter...... I still am (but I apply it academically and in other stuffs).

Leadership on the field came natural to me..... Coz I accepted nothing less than the best from my team mates and most times I was always "man of the match"..........

This was what made my class in junior school almost unbeatable in soccer........ A time came when an external sponsor came to organise a soccer competition for all classes in Junior high. Everyone was required to register but I didn't coz of my dad, my books and more.

It was an after-school competition taking place while school was in session..... Meaning I'd have to get home late and leave my younger siblings to head home by themselves. Also, I had other activities like my personal research project on several science articles in secondary school which materialised after 2-3 yrs of keen focus (from Jss3-SS2).

Despite all these, I was registered by others without my knowledge...... They said they needed me coz of my "fighting spirit" and "leadership" qualities. I always knew how to inspire my mates even though most (about 97% of them) were older than me.

Sadly, I turned it down and explained why I couldn't make it......... *smiles* they finished 3rd without me and till I graduated from High school they made me know that I was the "difference" between 1st and the 3rd they took in the competition.

Yes, I was "small" but I was a good player and inspirational leader...... I was called "Beckham" (because my name is David) or I was termed "Seedorf" coz I was never tired. But because I had a knack for scoring goals of any kind in almost every game, I was knighted "Van Basten" or "Batistuta". Whenever we met a "crack" team, it became "leave it David", he'll open them up with his "all-action" style........*smiles*

I was very versatile and played all roles for my team except in attacking midfield..... *smiles*

Now, when u take a look at my NL profile pix, u may see the pix of a "bookish" guy but really all this happened and it was quite an experience I tell u.

So Sir GoodJoe, I get u..........*smiles* And yeah, Sir BascoVanVeli, I get u too........*smiles*

You both are marvellous marvels in the "debate Arena" **reminds me of Brila fm's Hard tackle sometimes**

Now, LET'S MOVE ON CAN WE? THANK YOU..........*SMILES*

TheGoodJoe:
I want a youngster mad and furious when he is not doing well. Whether on the pitch or in school. I want a youngster ready to crack his books and train until he is the best.

I want to see a youngster fighting on the pitch and motivating his players to play better. If the player plays stupidly, I want the youngster shouting and letting the other player who made a mistake know how important every chance is.

I do not want a youngster getting himself expelled from School or fighting his opponents on the pitch. That does not help the team or the youngster in any way.

Dnt mind that journalist dat wrote that article. Annoyingly, he quoted Mali vs Belgium as match of d day. Where are Mali and Belgium at the U17 level. 2 first time semi finalists unlike Nigeria and Mexico hu have won d cup 4times and 2ce respectively. And hu is dat PSV player that i have nt even heard of in this tourney?
maybe a Brazilian wrote it smiley

Honestly, I cannot see how Mali vs Belgium is Match of the day. That's like having a Nigeria vs Ghana game and tagging a Zimbabwe vs. Burkina Faso as match of the day

BascoVanVeli:

Omg name another top player in history who celebrated like this guy, what he is doing is showing up his opponents and it is not what a good sportsman should do. When Germany trashed Brasil all they did was hug each other and pump their fist.
Of course im a Barca fan that i have stated already, I also used Suarez as an example of bad behavior so go figure. We all know C boy is a great player but his habits are not so great and should not be copied, when Messi tried to headbutt an opponent i was and still am totally against that so lets not make this a classico issue.
My point is no matter who a person is there are good and there are bad so don't tell a child to go copy exactly what someone does because the first thing people will always learn are the bad stuff. It would be better to pick out certain attributes and tell the child to copy them but u also have to point out the bad and u would be lying or naive if u say Ronaldo is perfect.
do you want to know how easy it is to know a Barcelona fan? just bring up topic(s) about Ronaldo. I never knew from Adam that you are a barcelona and messi fan, but your comments about ronaldo gave me the clue that you are one and I'm not wrong.

OMG, who are you to tell any player how to celebrate his/her goal? so, wild celebration now equate bad personality? ronaldo have the right to celebrate his goals any how he wants (even if it means jumping down from ten storey building), there is no law restricting him from any kind of celebration as far as it is not in front of opposition fans... going by your judgement, balotelli and joey Barton are great role models to young stars because they don't celebrate like ronaldo whenever they score.

how do you know that ronaldo's habit is bad? oh I almost forget that you now know who have a bad habit by mere watching them on the screen of television. I guess patience ozokwor is the worst mother or mother inlaw to live with and chiwetala agu must have killed the whole people in his village judging by what they do on the screen. bros, just forget that one, you simply don't like Ronaldo. period.

Arteaga wary of Eaglets threat
by Sammy Wejinya

Mario Arteaga © Fifa

Head coach of Mexico’s U17 national team, Mario Arteaga has warned that Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets “is a very good team” ahead of Thursday’s semi-final at the Fifa U17 World Cup in Chile.

Champions, Nigeria will face Mexico in the semi-finals of the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup in Chile after El Tri overpowered Ecuador on Monday.

The Mexicans won 2-0 at Estadio Municipal Francisco Sánchez Rumoroso, Coquimbo on Monday to set up the date with the four-time champions.

It is a repeat of the 2013 final when Nigeria defeated El Tri 3-0 courtesy of goals from Kelechi Iheanacho, Musa Mohammed and an Erik Aguirre own-goal.

The Golden Eaglets had earlier trounced the Mexicans 6-1 in their opening game of the competition.

El Tri have looked in fine fettle in 2015 though and are just one of two unbeaten sides (the other is Mali) still left in the competition.

Mexico, 2011 champions, have scored ten goals so far while conceding just two and look set to give the Golden Eaglets lots of issues to worry about.

Coach of the Mexico team, Mario Arteaga is however expecting problems of his own when they face Nigeria on November 5 at Estadio Municipal de Concepción, Concepción.

“Nigeria is a very good team, and we will prepare ourselves better to face their excellent attack,” he was quoted as saying on the official Fifa website, www.fifa.com.

He has a point. Nigeria have been the stand out team in Chile thus far scoring 17 goals while letting in a measly three.

The Golden Eaglets, record four-time winners of the tournament, have also not conceded in the knockout rounds of the competition.

There is also the small matter of the possession in their ranks, of the competition’s top scorer, Victor Osimhen (who has scored eight times so far).

Thursday’s game promises to be a blockbuster clash of contrasting yet intriguing styles between two sides of proven quantity at this level.

Amuneke: No Golden Eaglets Injuries Ahead Of Mexico Clash

By Sab Osuji:

Emmanuel Amuneke has expressed happiness that there are no injury concerns in his Golden Eaglets team ahead of the FIFA U-17 World Cup semi-final clash against Mexico on Thursday night, Friday morning.

The Golden Eaglets head coach told Comple tesportsnigeria.com on Wednesday from Chile that his charges are gearing up for the big showdown with the Mexacans.

"I've always believed that our journey in this championship lies in the hand of God Almighty," offers Amuneke from the team's base in Chile.

"It's God that has taken us this far and we believe He can still do more for us especially with Nigerians standing behind us with prayers.

"It's our determination to bring something worth celebrating for Nigerians at the end of the championship and the players are committed to doing just that".

Amuneke who spoke to Comple tesportsnigeria.com at exactly 1.15pm on Wednesday (9.15am in Chile) said they are focused ahead the semi finl confrontation with Mexico.

"We're at a very crucial stage of the competition which calls for focus.
"Mexico is a strong side, we already know that a tough game lies ahead of us.

"The good thing is that all the players are looking forward to the game.
"Most importantly, we don't have any injury concerns in the team, all the players are available for the match.

"There could be minor knocks and shocks which are part of the game but the good thing is that none is enough to rule any of the players out of the game against Mexico", Amuneke told Comple tesportsnigeria.com.

Amuneke says Eaglets will avoid Chile ‘87 debacle

The city of Concepción and Estadio Municipal has gone down in the history of Nigerian football as the venue where the country’s star-studded U-20 squad of 1987 met their waterloo following a humiliating 4-0 loss to Brazil at the FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 1987.

Twenty-eight years after what was called the ‘Chile Debacle’ by a section of the Nigerian media, the Golden Eaglets will hoist the Nigerian flag in Concepción yet again for a crunch semi-final match against Mexico at the on –going FIFA U-17 World Cup Chile 2015, with the winner guaranteed a slot in the final match slated for Sunday in Vina del Mar.

Speaking to thenff.com, coach Emmanuel Amuneke said the unfortunate loss by the Flying Eagles 28 years ago in Concepción will be an added motivation to guide the Golden Eaglets against defeat to the Baby El Tri on Thursday.

“Sincerely, I can’t remember anything about Chile 1987 and I don’t want to be bothered about that,” said the straight –talking 1994 African Footballer of the Year about the Nigeria-Brazil clash of October 11, 1987. “But that said, we can’t afford to lose (at the same venue) to Mexico and this is an important game for us.”

Nigeria and Mexico have only met thrice at the FIFA U-17 World Cup, with the Baby El Tri claiming a 1-0 win in a group phase match at Canada 1987 while the Golden Eaglets had the upper hand twice in 2013, when they walloped the Mexicans 6-1 and 3-0 in the group phase and the championship’s Final Match respectively.

Amuneke reckons that the Golden Eaglets must, therefore, be at their best against the Baby El Tri who will be hard pressed to avenge their losses at the last tournament in the United Arab Emirates.

“The Mexicans are a very good side and their performance so far at Chile 2015 is an indication that they have a very solid structure back home,” he said. “But we are working to ensure that the players are mentally ready for this big match.”

Meanwhile, Amuneke was honoured on Tuesday with an award by the Chiguayante community in Concepcion. The award, according to the organisers, was in recognition of the Golden Eaglets’ Head Coach’s feat in leading a team to qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Chile 2015.
