Caveat: This is not a buy or sell RECOMM.

Africa Crude-Nigerian urplus lingers, more ownside seen LONDON Nov 12 (Reuters) - Nigerian crude oil differentials were expected to come under further downward pressure due to a persistent backlog of unsold cargoes, traders said on Thursday. As many as 40 cargoes in Nigeria's December export programme and about 10 in November's schedule are unsold, they said. The ample supply is likely to weigh on differentials even though falling Brent prices will boost refining margins. "Margins are better as the flat price decline will help," said one trader. "But there is still a lot of oil around." There are still around 10 Angolan cargoes available for December just ahead of the release of the next month's programme. NIGERIA * Qua Iboe was offered at dated Brent plus $1.00. One trader said sold prices for December cargoes could weaken to as low as dated parity, which would be a multi-year low. * The grade was valued at dated Brent plus 40 cents, steady from earlier this week and the lowest since January. * Cargoes of November-loading Bonny Light, Brass River and Forcados are still looking for buyers and most grades for December are available.

Pls bnsitl, in trying to place a buy or sell order on I trade, and on getting to fill your order type, you fill "market" instead of "limit", you will see that there is no price quoted. My question is , when your order gets filled, is it from the limit orders in the bid and ask section of the market window? Or if not, from where does it get filled and at what price? That is, what then determines the price at which it is filled? Thanks for your response.

I wonder ooo. grin

Some say I no get job. Some say my mind na devils workshop. Some say it's due to cheap internet all because of the heart-attack WALE created for them.

I ve spent over a decade both in Singapore and UAE and i can authoritatively tell you that both voice call and internet are VERY VERY VERY CHEAP in Nigeria compare to those 2 countries.

Well in all honesty I dont blame them coz i know what it means for someone to lose 50% of his portfolio within one week and there's no end in sight yet.

Though that won't stop me from raising RED FLAPS to save the obedient newbies that have not been trapped.

Following your comments, you bought at around #30, averaged down around #20 and finally sold in September. Are you saying you didn't sell at a loss close to 50%? If you're sincere, you should let your innocent followers know how much you have lost in OANDO - that's full disclosure. So that they understand that following you does not immunize them from losses.

If you are buying, the market price will be prevailing offer price at that time and if you are selling,it will be at the prevailing bid.........Market for buy/sell order is faster than limit but most times the prices are higher than the current price when buying and lower when selling............

Ministers’ inauguration
fails to lift NSE
Simon Ejembi
Stocks on the Nigerian Stock Exchange fell on
Thursday as investors reacted indifferently to
the inauguration of ministers by President
Muhammadu Buhari the day earlier.
At the close of trading on Thursday, the NSE
benchmark index, the All-Share Index, fell by
0.74 per cent or 216.11 basis points to
28,798.67 basis points, while the market
capitalisation of the listed equities declined by
N74bn or 0.74 per cent to N9.900tn.
Buhari had on Wednesday inaugurated and
assigned portfolios to 36 ministers over five
months after he became the President.
The delay in appointing the ministers had left
investors uncertain about the economy and
cautious about the market, contributing to the
N1.684tn (14.44 per cent) drop in market
capitalisation recorded between May 28 and
November 11, when the cabinet was
inaugurated.
The Head, Investment Research, Afrinvest West
Africa, Mr. Ayodeji Ebo, said, “Contrary to
expectations, the market did not react positively
to the assignment of portfolios to the new
ministers.
“However, we feel that as policies come out
and we begin to see further direction, the
market will react positively. Investors are just
waiting to be sure of what they are betting on.”
Investors had reacted positively to Buhari’s
victory in the presidential elections, with stocks
rising by a record eight per cent a day after he
was declared the winner.
They had also reacted positively to the
appointment of Dr. Ibe Kachikwu as the Group
Managing Director of the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation, and a similar reaction
was expected after the inauguration of the
ministers.
The Managing Director, Cowry Asset
Management Limited, Mr. Johnson Chukwu, said
the reason for the indifference of investors to
the news was the prolonged wait for the
announcement of the cabinet members by the
President.
“The market has waited for a long time and the
market has become weary of waiting. So, the
market at this stage will only respond to
positive policy pronouncements. The market had
already factored in the portfolios of ministers
(after the screening) in as much as they didn’t
have portfolios until now,” he said.
Chukwu explained that investors were more
interested in concrete policy pronouncements on
the economic direction of the country.
“What is the government’s policy on interest
rate, inflation rate and exchange rate? Those
macroeconomic factors are what will propel
market response,” he added.
The President, Constance Shareholders
Association of Nigeria, Mr. Shehu Mikhail,
questioned the decision of the President to add
budget to the Ministry of National Planning.
“The Finance minister is supposed to be in
charge of budgeting. Another thing is that
combining power, works and housing under one
ministry is totally wrong. Merging works and
housing is fine, but power is Nigeria’s main
problem and it should have been separated.”
He expressed concern about the ability of the
ministries to work with cohesion as presently
structured.

We Nigerians should be careful of what we wished for. We shouldn't be having problems to every solutions offered. Well, one thing is certain concerning the fact that Nigeria is on the right track to greatness and prosperity. It might be painful now, but everything shall end well grin

Oil prices settled at their lowest level since late August on Thursday, as the U.S. government reported a seventh consecutive weekly increase in crude supplies.

Analysts are mostly downbeat about the outlook for oil prices, given ongoing worries about a glut of crude supplies.

December West Texas Intermediate crude CLZ5, +0.43% dropped $1.18, or 2.8%, to settle at $41.75 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, for its lowest settlement since Aug. 26. December Brent crude LCOZ5, +1.36% on London’s ICE Futures exchange gave up $1.75, or 3.8%, to $44.06 a barrel. The December contract for Brent crude expires Friday.
