Even though i prefer Obiano's method of actually using human beings for now to scrape the mountain of sand that accumulated over the decades. Anambra roads have never been swept for more than 40 years. That machine will be useless to use now on our roads. If we sustain this culture, in time we can use machines to do touch-up cleaning.

what are you even saying? How can you compare mechanised with manual? Besides do you know the risk those sweepers face for pittance? Will you allow anyone close to you do that? If the vehicles are not working (which I doubt) then it's the fault of the government and not the model. Another governor may decide not to sustain this manual sweeping but if the vehicle is bought, it becomes a property of the government. This is 2015 man.

Job creation is the key word here. I never compared the two but what I meant is its sustainability. Any policy that does not have sustainability value is a crap more especially when we cannot even produce those stuff locally. Job is job, and every job all over the world has its own hazard. What is delaying the completion of the permanent site is nothing but ego issues between nnewi and ozubulu people, two groups that share common boundaries in anambra .

The permanent site is being built on a land belonging to ozubulu proper but nnewi people aside being reluctant to lose the hospital to another community, they also do not want the name, 'NAUTH nnewi' to elude them because they feel they had contributed immensely to the development of the hospital and wl want the nomenclature of the new hospital to remain 'nnewi' teaching Hosp if the hospital must be moved to the permanent site at ozubulu .

Ozubulu people on the other hand will not have a structure built on their land bear 'nnewi' or sth else instead of ozubulu.
The headship of the hospital has being from the nnewi clan so far, hence works have not being going on there at ozubulu site .

It's so unfortunate because the 90% gigantic edifice is wasting away.

I don't think its just nomenclature that is delaying it. It may be federal government bureaucracy. But what I know from a cousin who is actually a medical student at NAUTH-Nnewi is almost ready but the federal government is holding them from taking off from permsite.

The hospital lies between Nnewi and Ozubulu, there is no way it will bear NAUTH-Ozubulu because it originated from NAUTH-Nnewi, more especially when the said project is on the boundary of both towns. Besides Nnewi as a name is far more popular than Ozubulu.

I am not even here to argue or perambulate, I know what I am talking about.
The hospital nomenclature is a very big issue here.

Since the hospital is on the boundary of the both towns it is so easy for federal government to maintain the nomenclature of its original location "Nnewi", afterwards its a federal government project and they paid compensation fully for the land acquisition to the affected communities.

Federal government should go ahead and choose the locational nomenclature that is convenient to them afterwards it will still remain Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital.
