ezeaguisforever:Please tell us what is the width and depth of each of the rivers you mentioned here (i.e Orashi, Imo, etc), and then compare it with the depth/draft and width of the Rhine. You will see that they are not in the same category. Thank you and God bless. |

ezeaguisforever:Cross river is not part of Biafra. Your Biafra is limited to SE and Anioma part of Delta Tell me how a ship coming from outside would get to Biafra without passing through parts of Nigerian land |

kernel504:None of these countries is completely bounded by an unfriendly single nation hence they use their ports. |

| Re: Igboland Is Not Landlocked by ezeaguisforever(m): 9:54pm On Dec 07, 2015 |
sleekdot:They will get to Port Harcourt or or any ports on Igbo lands on the Cross River, on either side, Imo, Niger, or Urashi by going through water surrounded by mangrove or more water. |
| Re: Igboland Is Not Landlocked by unite4real: 9:54pm On Dec 07, 2015 |
ezeaguisforever:Wow, so those Rivers and Estuaries will move containers via ships to shore right? Have u ever heard of the word HINTERLAND? Thats the right word to be used. |
| Re: Igboland Is Not Landlocked by Nobody: 9:55pm On Dec 07, 2015 |
sleekdot:Why you dey lie like this... Apart from the island.. Water passed through those island and touched Igbo land at specific places even looking at that map. |

unite4real:You still haven't figured out why there are no coastal ports in Nigeria, have you? If you have then please relay the information. |
| Re: Igboland Is Not Landlocked by Tequilah: 9:56pm On Dec 07, 2015 |
unite4real:Maybe they do not know the difference between an estuary, a river bank and a sea port. |

| Re: Igboland Is Not Landlocked by Nobody: 10:00pm On Dec 07, 2015 |
Agbaletu:You misunderstood me. What am trying to say is that... Our ancestors are not that foolish to settle in a place when there is no feel of water sea... Looking at map... You will see as water from the sea passed through the island and touch the Igbo land at some places... And the water can also be dredged at some places where bigger ships might need to pass.. Pls my ancestors are not stupid... You chop craze for suggesting that they are stupid?? |
| Re: Igboland Is Not Landlocked by ezeaguisforever(m): 10:02pm On Dec 07, 2015 |
Tequilah:You mean the depth of the Imo or New Kalabar which already have wharfs sited on them and take ships to a great extent and only need a bit of dredging? Or the Niger? I don't know. I'll leave that to your investigations. Because at the end of the day you know this your questioning is irrelevant and bringing up the Rhine collapsed your entire argument. The bloody Rhine that's hundreds of miles between the North Sea and Switzerland and that actually starts in Switzerland vs the Imo and New Kalabar that are on mangroves and 20 miles from the coast and the ports of Igboland, not including coastal areas that are actually Igbo-speaking/have Igbo heritage like Opobo? You should now laugh at yourself. |

Mynd44:Mod stop patronizing me this it... I know what am saying here... Dredging is an excavation activity usually carried out underwater, in shallow seas or freshwater areas with the purpose of gathering up bottom sediments and disposing of them at a different location. This technique is often used to keep waterways navigable.Another definition that shows is not restricted to sea. Rivers and lakes can be dredged too also for easy navigation. Dredging is the removal of sediments and debris from the bottom of lakes, rivers, harbors, and other water bodies. |

Mynd44:And when ports are built on the Urashi, Cross River, Imo, etc, etc. How will this be relevant? |
| Re: Igboland Is Not Landlocked by Mynd44(mod): 10:09pm On Dec 07, 2015 |
kernel504:Of. Course not. Which is why we have to continually negotiate with the countries up river so they dont dam it but that does not relate to this discourse. |

| Re: Igboland Is Not Landlocked by Mynd44(mod): 10:10pm On Dec 07, 2015 |
AfricanFinest:These ships will have to pass through Nigerian territory. You will need permission to do that and if they don't give it, sorry. |

| Re: Igboland Is Not Landlocked by unite4real: 10:15pm On Dec 07, 2015 |
ezeaguisforever:you can only talk of a coastal port when the coast is part of your region. For example, Niger republic has Nigeria on its south. Now Nigeria has shorlines and this does not mean that Niger can now claim that they can create coastal port from that. Once you are in the hinterland, you dont talk about the sea port. find picture of Coastal ports attached. The igboland can only dream of this. It can never happen

Mynd44:You honestly believe 20 miles of mangrove and wide rivers will be blocked by Nigeria and supported by the international community? |
| Re: Igboland Is Not Landlocked by ezeaguisforever(m): 10:19pm On Dec 07, 2015 |
unite4real:You still didn't explain why there are no ports today on the Nigerian coastline. I want you to tell us why Nigeria with its amazing coastline doesn't actually use the so called coastline and how Igboland has failed because they are not joining Nigeria on the coast. |
| Re: Igboland Is Not Landlocked by Nobody: 10:19pm On Dec 07, 2015 |
Mynd44:Well am talking of Igbo nation here... The fact here is that Igbo are not landlocked... Getting permission from government of Nigeria is another issue as presently they are Nigerians. Lemme clear you now... Presently igboland is in Nigeria they can use those routes to access the sea no biggie BC is there country. And If Biafra is restored those places will no more be Nigerian territory but Biafra territory and Igbo land can still get access to the sea BC is there country... So either ways Igbo land can get access to the sea to which is the main point of argument In conclusion you will agree with me that finally Igbo land is not landlocked. |
