The letter is usually sent by either Rodolfo or Melissa and it always comes with the price breakdown. Yoivate supposed to print it out for the interview, attached with the Doctor' s personalized letter.

BC cost $24 per copy. I made 2 copies.
SSN was free.
US passport was $180 for expedited, I think.
Naija visa was $300 for overnight delivery.

Ok that's the one am talking about. Thank u so much, God bless u for allaying my anxiety. Hope u don't mind if I ask u anymore questions in the future

Hello house, I have been a silent follower of this forum. I am due to embark on my first missionary journey on dec25th. Already have a doctor and plan to use oakbend. My question now is, can anyone pls give a format of the notorised letter of consent as DH will not be coming along. From my late night jackings here, I figure I can go along with this to sort out baby's travel documents (as long as its not dated)

It's called DS-3053 form.
Check it out on travel.state.gov
Endeavor not to put date in (1) the space after ur hubby's signature and (2) the space after the notary public signature.
You ain't writing letter, just print from their website,

Not necessary for US passport, my 1st baby, eyes were closed with my hands showing in the background sef grin grin grin, second baby taken in car seat with white cloth as background.

see below from US website: http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports/under-16.html

When taking photos of newborns and infants, please make sure no other person is in the photo, and the child is looking at the camera (preferably with his or her eyes open, not required for infants and newborns).

For infants and newborns, lay the child on his or her back on a white blanket or sheet to ensure his or her head is supported without the aid of a hand. Make sure there are no shadows on the child’s face if you are taking the picture from above. Alternatively, cover a car seat with a plain white sheet and take a picture of your child in the car seat.

Am happy with this info ooo.... My baby head go one corner for d pix, was praying that they accept it.. Now am calm

Hello house, wow! I had to read all the pages of part 3 to catch up! Learnt a lot, been screen munching, my phone don full with NL munch, lol...How's everyone doing? Congrats to those who just delivered, have finished their missionary journey and got their visas(thank God say I don pass visa stage) now patiently waiting for my LO to come... Boredom and cold don finish me for Chicago... I advice those coming should check for the weather and pack appropriately oh(packed maternity free gowns) so I had to spend a lot on thick clothes/jacket/boots. Anyway! I will update as things go on. Thanks to all the gurus( nerf, modath, lady G, Phema, tvegas, and those who answered my many jjc questions) God bless...

Hi all.
Successfully got into Atlanta in Sat 12th Dec. Air France asked me to get a fit to fly from Port health and didn't even look at the one from my provider. Paid 1k for it, even though the woman there asked for 2k.
Had a 4hr lay over in France. Using the wheelchair service was a great idea.
Arrived Atlanta as scheduled. A couple of old folks used the wheel service too. I was the only preggers that I sighted though.
Me: Hi
CBP: Hi. (Collected my passport)
CBP: Where are you headed?
Me: I will be here in Atlanta for Christmas and then go to Texas next year to have my baby
CPB: O, u are having a baby too. Do u have family in Atl?
Me: Yes, and we always spend Christmas together. Was even here last here too. I lived in the US before and always spend Christmas with them.
CBP: How long do you plan to stay in the US?
Me: About18weeks
CBP: How long did you spend during your last visit?
Me: 3weeks. Was here with my husband and we left in January 2015.
CBP: Do you have family in Texas?
Me: No. I am getting a paid accommodation
CBP: Hotel or House
Me: House, Extended Stay
CBP: Place ur right 4 fingers here......
CBP: Do you have plants, snails, etc
Me: No
CBP: How much do u have?
Me: $9300 and cards for my bank accounts
CBP: How many bags do u have?
Me: 2 checked in and my hand luggage
CBP: Good luck
Me: Thanks, is that all?

He didn't ask for any document, even though I placed my envelope with my 'burden of proof' in front of him. My bags were not checked. My wheel chair guy wheeled me and my bags to the waiting area from where I was picked up.
Now chilling till my 1st appointment.

Many thanks to God and to all those who have been contributing here. Thanks to those that responded to all my questions.

To God be the glory. Watch out for part 2....

In the spirit of 'giving back' to the thread...

My wife arrived NY today. She left Lagos yesterday and arrived NY this morning. She probably had the shortest and smoothest POE interview ever.

CPB: How long are you here for..
Mrs: 3 months
CPB: Who would you be staying with?
Mrs: Family.
CPB: Enjoy your stay..

She was stamped in for 6 months... We were very prepared for secondary inspection and further interrogation with a large stack of documents but they didn't ask for the purpose of her visit not to talk of documentation...... A favored woman she is...

Now waiting for the first hospital appointment.. smiley

Your wife is so favoured!!! God favour me too...planing to go through NY too

Hello house....I already got my visa before I got pregnant and planning to send a letter of intent to the embassy. My questions are, how early do I need to send the mail.
Do I need to have a correspondence doctor before traveling. Will it be required at the POE. Sorry if my question sound funny o. I'm a jjc in all of this. Thanks

By reading the thread from part 1 and coming back to ask questions if you have any.

The first step I think is do u have a US Visa.?
2nd, do have have about 10k dollars to spend?

If question 1 and 2 are answered, the 3rd will be do you have any particular state you want to go to or family that has space to accommodate you and your baby?

When you done with these, come back and tell us the state you want to go and ask your questions. If you dont have a particular state, then u can ask mothers here to assist you. That might be easier than reading from thread number one. But when you fulfill all these conditions, you still have to read from thread one o, it will help you to compare costs, give you solution to all problems related to child birth in the US from buying your ticket to doctor's appointment to shopping and accommodation if you not staying with family. Goodluck cause you have a lot of work.

Congrats. Everyone was once a jjc too so don't apologize.

The earlier you send the letter the better especially if you have bought your ticket.
Yes, Docs correspondence is very important. And they may request for it or not at your POE.

Be specific and direct here, ask the house about child birth in a particular state and which doctors and accommodation they used. The cost and everything else to help you plan better.

Then ask them about airlines.

Goodluck on your first Missionare journey and welcome.

Hello NL,

So i came in into the US on monday. My flight was smooth until i started have contractions 3hrs to landing.am not even close to due. I was pratically in distress. I prayed my way through. Prophesying and talking to my LO not too disgrace me..lol. i made sure i was composed n didnt alert d flight attendants.i will forever be grateful to God for d miracle

I used wheel chair so it was pretty easy on landing. My poe was a breeze all the docs i carried was nt even checked.i was just told to makesure i paid my bills. I had to go straight to the hospital. I used grady. I was treated for dyhradation even though i had gallons of water on board, stress and preterm labour. I spent d day at d hospital where d contraction was stopped n dy subjected me to numerous tests. I kept wondering if was for free. Baby has behaved.we are both fine.

I await my bill for this treatment. God ia able.

Wish you all those coming in safe n uneventful flights and everyone healthy and fullterm babies.

Congrats o. Your story is real miracle and you were bold not to have alerted the flight attendants before you hear they are diverting flight or announcing on the PA system calling for a doctor.

I wish you a safe delivery and pleasant stay in my Country.
