We know this already. Jonathan was no doubt a failure, a looter and now with revelations of how he diverted funds meant to eliminate Boko Haram, a human rights violator and potential ICC candidate.

However, as Minister of Information, we are more concerned in being given concrete facts on what is being done to alleviate the problem.

It's not enough to just blame Jonathan oga Lai. Tell Kachukwu the new chief fuel importer to sit up.

It is totally unconscionable, and indeed an admission of failure, for a sitting government and ruling party to blame the opposition for their failings. These guys have simply abdicated their responsibility to the people. They can as well throw in the towel and head home.

The questions to ask are: who runs the NNPC? Who pays subsidy to fuel marketers? Who has used federal resources to bribe individuals and groups to such a level that there is no money to run the government, not to talk of paying subsidies?

The moment a ruling party starts transferring its responsibilities to the opposition, it is clear that the market is over.

Seriously I don't know what's só difficult in Lai Mohammed's statement to understand. The man was asked how the fuel scarcity came about. Simply that the oil marketers went on strike for their Subsidy arreas since August 2014. Who doesnt know that the outstanding Subsidy payments caused the strike?

Lai maybe right and one maybe an unflinching believer in the PMB project,but this statement is most insensitive,ill timed and annoying.
On this and based on present petrol hardship being experienced by all,Lai's defence is honestly irritating.
He got this press release wrong, period!

Look here Mr lai, I'm getting tired of your consistent blame on the former administration for every bad thing that happens. The APC was voted to solve problems and not blaming the last administration, we expect the government to situp and face governance instead of this daily rantings about the past.
