I am a silent reader of this thread but want to share my transcript. I prayed to God that I shouldn't be asked a question that would make me lie or complicate issues for me. Thanks to everyone who shared their story. My interview was 10am today in Lagos. There was a black american lady who was just dishing out the blue form, I was just praying not to meet her, the white lady beside her was approving as long as you answer well, I prayed for her to be my interviewer and so it was.

VO: where are you going to in the usa
Me: to see my brother in texas
VO: Have you travelled outside the country before?
Me: yes, italy and south Africa
Vo: Are you married?
Me: Single, getting married next year( I nor even get fiance but avoid answering questions with yes/no without a statement)
Vo:How long are you spending?
Me:3 weeks
Vo: what are you doing presently
Me:I am a medical doctor
Vo: your visa is approved, pick it up in bla bla.

Note: confidence, maintain what You wrote on your ds160, my salary is less than 100k cos I am serving. The passport i submitted had no visa stamp, it was new. All my visa stamps were in the old passport. No documents asked. Say as little as possible, some people say more than necessary. I had been refused before when i was a student. For students, I noticed some didnt do research. Above all God's favour.

You can book an appointment now for feb or march since registry is in jan. It is also good you plan ahead of time. Registry is also wedding. you have to pay attention when filling your forms so you don't contradict yourself. Also your plans have to be specific, google nd find out where people go for honeymoon in usa so it immediately clicks and they don't start wondering why you chose that destination

It it is of note that I started reading about this forum from the 100th page of the first thread but I read back from page 1 to get a full glimpse. I got to the embassy today around 7am .the woman at d last cubicle(9)was just dashing visa out today so I prayed to be called by her,but was called by the man in cubicle 8.nice man he was,quite a strict but nice man.here goes my transcript.

V.O:what do you do ma'am?
ME:I am into business,I sell cosmetics in wholesales
V.O.OK,since when(I answered since 2010)
V.O: so what are you going to do in Maryland?
ME: I am going for vacation

I told him palm desert in california and the title of the conference.

I just didnt tell him my position, i manage the hotel and night club, my position as the gm, i just dont want to answer what i wasnt ask to avoid misinterpretation. I guess it wasnt my day. Dont wanna talk much here though. Thanks for your observation.

Thanks @LadyG, it was a learning point, the guy was battling with his system for more than 20mins before starting my interview. He didnt even look up, didnt even look at my face. Ian Dowie look alike...

The guy still dey run around o, claiming he is still in ABUJA, i'm asking him to come back so we can settle this at once, I want him to come back so i will collect my international passport ,that is if he did it, then if he haven't , i will go do it myself then apply for the Visa & book for interview myself.. so what do you think? is their anyway i can verify if he has already did my international passport, i don't want to apply for another international passport & complicate things further, because am planning to go during spring, which is around March ending, would love my interview to be anytime in february to know my fate... Think: since you didn't do the required passport biometrics, how was he going to get you a valid passport anyway? You'll probably end up being asked by him to pay all kinds of 'extra fees' because of all kinds of 'situations' that have arisen in the process of sorting your passport, and then end up not even getting the passport after paying everything at the end of the day. You should probably just get down to a passport office and sort the thing out yourself. And while you're at it, chase him down and get as much of your money back as you can.

I applied on the 16th too. Got mine yesterday. Just email GSS for status. That's what I did.

I made up my mind long before now to share my interview transcript whether gud or gud
I had my interview in Abuja.... I applied for b2 medical visa since i'm actually going for medical purpose.
Lemme give a brief history.....
Got married 2012. Became preggy in 2013 and baby died in utero at 38wks. Another preg came, baby didnt make it at 32wks. Is someone wondering where d doctors are when all dis happened? 'trust me u dont wanna know. Some wld be in jail by now in a sane country. Now, dnt wonder how i cope with d losses, i think some angels were deployed from above to kip me. Now another preg is here and i cant afford a third still birth. Fast forward to interview

Transcript goes thus:
Me: Gd afternoon ma'am
VO: Gd afternun with a smile.... So why are u going to Texas
Me: (Assumed she saw medical on my visa type) To have my baby
VO: where do you work
Me: I work for the govt
VO: what do u do there
Me: I explained my roles
VO : How much do you earn
Me: *grabbed my payslip to confirm the kobo kobo dt usually follow d amt*
VO: Vo said no, just tell me without checking
Me: I told her the amount without adding d kobos.
VO: what does ur husband do?
Me: He's a bizness man, runs a printing press
VO: how much does he earn?
Me: (hubby doesn't earn salary so didnt know what to say but 250k jumped in my mouth and i spilled it)
VO: Sorry your application is not successful at dis time u may reapply.

I know i goofed but there has to be a way my people, what do I do? I'm so worried sick about my health and dt of this baby.

Why come here for advice if you have already resolved to act as it pleases you? This is the umpteenth times you'll be told that passport cannot be done in proxy. What else do you want to hear? because from the "bold" you're still doubting.
If you won't listen to LadyG, then the agent will teach you in the hard way.

Dear Everyone,First of all,I want to commend the administrator and other contributors. You are doing a great job. I would love to post the transcript of my encounter at the embassy but first of all I want give a
of myself. I got my very first American Visa in 2010 but I didn't declare that I was pregnant during the interview however I paid all the bills which i have got receipts.In 2012 when I wanted to renew, I was refused just because I didn't declare. In 2013,the V.O told me to go back and request for an ITEMIZED BILL. I didn't understand what she meant so I did a table on MS WORD, filling it with date,how much I paid and what it was meant for. So I went back with this to the embassy and was bounced shamefully. This was when I found NAIRALAND. I read each page on the maternity section and got to know that there was was something called ITEMIZED BILL and ZERO BALANCE BILL. So I sent a mail straight to the hospital(riverside medical center) with anger and I was told that they didn't give me then because I didn't request for it. Anyway at last the official zero balance receipt was given to me, so I took this among other documents in 2014 when I was pregnant with my second child to the embassy to apply for a medical visa. Unfortunately I was denied again just because I was not truthful initially. I had to have the baby UK. Fast forward to 2015 just yesterday when I least expected, we were granted the visa, me and my son. My husband was allowed to enter with us due to God's favour. Normally he wouldn't have been allowed in normal circumstances because he already has his visa. My appointment was 7:30am in Lagos.
ME:Good morning

VO:please pass your passports. She noticed there were only two passport and she requested for the third one and my Husband told her he has got his visa but showed her still.

ME: Perris,California.
