Was also using Dr f quotes n what ozycy paid as initial budget

Involve the dr, that's the Gd thing about Fagbohoun sha he will always get involved

Maybe you should get dr Eziekiel involved, when I had my daughter I was given a bill $1000 but I paid $606 after fight, but then she had jaundice and went under photo therapy so we stayed 3 days

This is the email and no of the person I dealt with then, mayb you can try it and get more clarification. She used to be prompt with her response

For NICS if u give birth to a big baby you will incur extra charges... As they will run test on d baby and do some extra monitoring
.

I wonder what qualifies as big! Ridiculous people
@Akelvin what Time did you give birth? That also matters for the silly Nicu people.

Oakbend counts from midnight but they count by dates, so what for me and oakbend was a 2 day hospital stay was counted as 3 days by them

house,

Please I need your input/advice on this issue. I have been in an argument with my host and the friends over Nigerian visa for LO.
They insist LO's does not need it, that with the blue Pali Lo is good to go. That requesting for naija visa is spending money unnecessarily. But I told them is not true and is impossible . But on a 2nd thought I decisied to bring it up here, especially now dollar is not simileing.

Has anyone tried this before?can this be true?

I think some have done it in the past and got away with it ( Naija style).
I patiently waited for the attendant Checking us in to ask for baby's visa. When she finally did and I showed her, I then asked what if baby didn't have it? She said it means baby's not going anywhere and invariably I'm not going anywhere either.
They've been asked to check that all documentation is intact before you board. Also, the American passport enables you travel to a lot if countries visa free, but not all countries.. e.g Nigeria
Hope this helps? Also, you can Google it.

Funny enough NICS billed me $187. Probably cos baby and I stayed only for 24hours and we were both good to go.

ozycy:
I think NIC may have increased their rate as most mamas that gave birth of recent didn't get same $335 I and oda old mamas got.
Or maybe it's just the whatever screening dat resulted to the extra cost.

With ETC, they are correct. For me, no one checked visa when leaving US, but on entering Nigeria, they will ask. You just submit the ETC to immigration at the airport, and keep a copy that you will use for 9ja passport for yourself

Na wa oo, all this unexpected increase. God is our strength. I thought in total Oakbends bill will be cheaper than gwinnet, but adding all this hearing test, discharge fee and all, its about the same if not more sef. Cos the total bill in gwinnett includes the hearing test n all.

So ticket gurus n any1 who can contribute, i saw a 1 way ticket with united for $1020, 2way $1700... pls has any 1 gotten a refund for 2nd leg ticket from united, like how much was refunded?. What pays in this situation?
The exchange rate is killing, used my fcmb card n it was charged at 270, its scary to think of cargo now though. Stil not sure who to use for cargo sef

Whether you send him or keep him your bill will be the SAME

Any investigation they are doing is from the blood drawn at heel prick during birth, so let them do their work While you rest

Congrats and happy new year in advance

My madam is currently in new york using MMC

Their package for VD with epidural is $8.1k, without epidural $1k less. Package for CS is $10.2k. It's all inclusive of tests hospital and doctor. I dont think it includes the pediatrician.

You know most of our pple there don't know much about this birthing/documentation thing...baby needs either a Naija passport, visa or ETC. so whichever one you choose, you're still gonna spend the money. Nigeria is not visa free for amelikan citizens smiley

Thats not right, NICS caters to baby's needs so there for, baby was born 1am, which was on thursday, their businesses with you started on a Thursday, they should bill you 2 days! I think you should hold your ground when you call them, that baby was born thursday, and since their services is rendered to baby and not you, their billing should start from thursday

For me, they checked mini-shawlar's travel docs twice; when we were checking in & @ the boarding gate. I had to show them his ETC when they checked his blue pali and saw no visa there... It was d immigration officer in 9ja that omitted asking for it. You have to get either a 9ja visa, 9ja passport or Emergency travel Cert. in order to travel to 9ja

Congrats to all the new mothers in the house.. May your LO's continually fill ur homes with Joy...,
& for those with successful POE stories..., we'll soon celebrate more good news from u soonest.

I don't think they increased their fees, they only discovered a means to cunningly get more money out of people by not following the general rule of 24hr=1day.

I already posted it a while back, if u check my previous posts. Dont know anything about accomodation, i stayed with family.
In 2010 i paid $2,265 and some change with the 40% self pay discount, if u pay in full within a particular time, pd Dr Soyoola $2K then
In 2013, i paid $3096 for vaginal birth with the 40% self pay discount. I paid $320 to radiology or so and minthink $250 to Nicu (broken collar bone n meconium ish) $2400 to dr
I didnt pay for the hearing test separately
Paedatrician visit $75 1st time then $50 second time. I should have done the $750 implant contraceptive, maybe i wont be here for a 3rd missionary journey due tk failed contraceptive. Now na so so $1k

I used United memorial medical center, batavia New York through C.S. Stayed in the hospital 3 days for all. The hospital offers a 60% automatic dscount for self pay. Got my bill for 3947.69 for mother and 1407 for the child, total of 5354. Epidural was about $1700 for cs and 1200$ for vag, can't remember the exact figure, but I asked for discount from the epidural company and they gave 20% discount. Doctor's fee for ante natal and delivery was 1499.4. The fee above also included all the meal I had for 3 days. The service was awesome, everyone including the doctor's were very friendly, nice and professional.
I let them know before I delivered that I was going back to Naija in less than a month after delivery so they could process my birth cert and bills on time.
I filled the birth cert form before I gave birth and gave them baby's name on delivery. They filled for the cert on friday, I called the county's office on Tuesday and I was told it was mailed to me the monday after that friday. I guess they used regular mail cos I didn't get it that week, went to their office the following Monday, paid 10$ for another copy which I usedto apply for her passport. I paid 165$ for the passport and got it sameday. I mailed her passport to the agent for the Naija visa for 342$. They got the passport Tuesday Morning, got the visa same day and mailed it back to me. I got the passport the next day WednesdayWednesday. About accommodation, can't say much cos I stayed with my sister in Buffalo
