Anyone birthing in Delaware, need info about affordable Drs and hospitals. Pls help a sista out
Thanks

Hi Xenadarl! Please check Beryl15's posts. She birthed in Delaware last year...and no, it doesn't take up to 45 days to get a birth certificate there but in Tennessee it does, 30 days if you are lucky n keep calling to get it released sooner than the 45 days.

No info on doctors or hospitals. However i believe it takes 45 days to get your baby's birth certificate in delaware.
Wrong info oo!!! Had my baby in Delaware and it takes one to two weeks.

Anyone going to Delaware can also use DCMH in Philadelphia it's about 45min drive and it cost ( both VD 2days stay and CS 3days stay) $7,500 all inclusive except anesthesia cost around $1000.

Thanks for your post. I don't know any mum in elpaso. I called his grace lodge and they are fully booked for february. I have a made a one week reservation with intown suites and I will pay for a nite hotel close to the airport. I also called dr. Lagunas. I intend paying my bills in cash when I arrive there. As for PTA, I am seriously praying something changes btw now and 3 weeks time I get to travel.

lollarojo:
have u tried booking his grace lodge seems cheaper and homely especially for we with kids.Thats where im using th..also if u can get any mom in intown then u send cash to and they pay for a week and get ur room key for u, so when u land ur room key is available, changing hotels is tiring esp for 1 night when u all wd b jetlagged and tired..and as for vbac der is a Dr Yolanda Lagunas dt uses delsol and providence..i was supposed to use her but Dr Martel eventually accepted me after so much talks cos he birthed my 1st son and i am comfortable with him...also ive been sending moneygram via firstbank to elpaso and im using form A to process my hospital payment and doctors fee but its been a week i filled d form now no joy yet..trying to explore pta options as i ve less dan 2wks to travel..

Thanks. That's the plan...

vcole:
I had the same ish during my time. I booked a 1 night stay at Days Inn. its on the opposite side of the freeway from intown suites. got a cab to intown at noon the next day. costs roughly $50 for that nightand about $10-15 max cab to intown.
you can book on booking.com look for the Days Inn with 10635 Gateway Blvd W...as its address....it's close to walmart so if you are feeling energetic, you can pop into walmart in the morning and do a bit of grocery shopping before you check out. that will save you cab fare having to do so later on...

Thanks to everyone on the forum who have been contributing, asking both Logical and trivial questions. We dey learn from both sides of the divide. I can say without any shadow of doubt that this forum has been a blessing. My Dw is houston bound (Dr La/WHMC) tonight after 7 months of battling severe Hyperemesis Gravidarum(Lol) No be small something o, but we thank the Lord. She was hospitalized for the greater part of the 7 months but this week God himself came down to heal her completely. Thankfully we were able to get PTA last week through a family friend.

I say make I give my vote of thanks now or never.

Hi guys,
For those that have stanbic, don't turn back when they tell you they don't have dollars. You can buy euro and pounds from them with your US visa. Sell it at black market price and buy dollars with it if you so wish. It will amount to almost the same amount or you make more.

Anyways, I was able to get pta through a family member for 199.25. I removed the doctor's fee which was 2k, sold it at black market at 303, called the doctor and used my gtbank card and DW's card to pay doctors fee via phone call at 285 naira/$. We gained 18 naira per dollar at the end of the transaction.

For those that have stanbic, I hope I have informed you better. Get back to the bank for the pounds and euro

What was his path to citizenship? If you know this and it's not a sneaky way, go ahead and use him as your contact

sadiaalmas:
Please I will be going with my mum to usa and we are trying to apply for our visa. her brother, my uncle is based in the states. We don't think we will be visiting him while over there. Is it OK to write his name as relative based in the USA. He is a citizen so no worries about his status in the USA.

I used gtbank card. They charged 285. You can't do $1000 at once with stanbic. Max is $300 per day. But you can do $1000 on gt so I had to weigh my option. I already sold dollar at 303 now.. I didn't lose. I gained the difference between 303 and 285. You get?

I know you gained the diff, just meant you would've gained an extra $15 if u used ur Stanbic card

I have a credit Stanbic card with no restrictions so I always forget about the $300 per day limit

Anyways hope u have enough spending / shopping money for ur wife? So you guys dont end up swiping for More than u sold later on?

All the best
