You dare mention Success and Agbo in the same sentence??

Chaiii.... Like I already said, no need to go any further. #smiles

So, who do you think is better than Agbo?

You're right Sir GoodJoe..... #smiles

I just think it's a bit too far placing Nwobodo or matthew side by side with Tom Cleverly for now...

And abeg!!! No try am again ooo.... No mention Cleverly in the same sentence as Alli, Bentaleb, Barkley and the delectable Sergi Roberto. NO TRY AMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!

#bigsmiles

Cleverly does not follow. Tufia. That guy is a true example of how a crap player can reach the top of football. Imagine that crap playing for one of the biggest clubs in the World.

I see them a lot in the EPL. Some of them can not even trap ball. Watch some games in the EPL.

The only way forward is the growth of our local League. So we can show case our talents in large folds.

What forgiveness is telling me that all the players in second division of German club football are better than every player in our local League.

Bros, I saw Agbo played several times and i don't think he is an average player. He has played 6 league matches and 4 Copa-del-rey matches. He even started in 6 of those matches and went the distance in. That shows you that he is gradually picking up.

However, i just love his confidence and his attacking and defensive ability. His case his not different from Iwobi na.

Let Agbo prove himself to be a regular at Granada first. He has not set the place on fire yet. Iwobi is much better at the moment because he is playing at a team with more competition and he still gets games.

Sir Forgiveness, I think you need to apologise to this honorable house for putting Uche Henry Agbo on the list of players that would sit on d bench in Rio. grin

He is nowhere near being worthy of that bench.

. Hehehe! But who will i replace him with?

How many games has Iwobi gotten in the League so far?

You mean much competition with much thrashing? grin

And don't forget, la liga is rated higher than Epl. Iwobi might even struggle to kick ball because there is no space in la liga.

What kind of question is this bikonu??

Haven't you been answered already by others earlier? Why not just admit you were wrong placing Agbo as an option for our U-23 squad.

That's an insult to the many quality talents we have at that level.

Many remain. Very many good players remain. Do you think we can scout every top talent? Even at local club level, there is still a lot of politics and good players get left behind.

Osimhen is there today because he showed up for Amunike's scouting camp. His close friend who plays with Osimhen missed the trial. He was there the first day but he could not make it the second day. If Osimhen did not come, No one will know him today and he might continue hawking pure water on the streets of Lagos.

It seems you did not understand what I am saying. I am saying it is impossible to scout all the best players. Just as there are a lot of good talents who do not get picked.

So do not make it look like all the best Nigerian talents over the age of 18 are in Europe.

Not impressed by the video, i think we already have better players at defensive midfield (Onazi, Azubuike, Ndidi) but let's see if he can make an impression on the coaches.

Iyayi Believe Atiemwen

Another Siasia invitee, 20 years, signed for second division in Turkey, Kayseri Erciyesspor, has not played for the first team yet.

Playing in another loaded area, not impressed by little information, i have seen

More Details:

When the Nigeria U-23 list of 30 players to prosecute the Brazil friendly was announced two days back Iyayi Atiemwen Believe is one name many asked about.

Owngoalnigeria.com in it’s usual investigative style unveils ten facts about the 20 year old.

1. He was born on the 24 of January 1996 in Ogbe, a community in Edo State Nigeria.

2. He first came to prominence as an 18 year old two seasons ago with Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria second division league where he was by far one of their best players.

3. The creative midfielder who is a very good dribbler later went to Cyprus although details of his exploits there still remain sketchy with some speculating he didn’t play due to the poor contractual fee he was offered.

4. He presently plays for Kayseri Erciyesspor in Turkey, a team he joined on the 28 of January 2016 on a three and half year deal which will terminate on the 31st of May 2019.

5. The Turkish team reportedly signed him fo 50, 000 Euros.

6. He is one of three Nigerians on the club books, the other being fellow U-23 invitee Saturday Erimuya and Ayodeji Kabir completes the trio who were all signed on same day.

7. Like his other Nigeria counterparts at the club,Iyayi is yet to make his debut for the main team of the Turkish second division strugglers so far he has played just once and that was for the U-21.

8. His statistics with the U-21 is not the best, with one red card to his name, sent off in the 83rd minutes against the U-21 of Alayanspor for two yellow card offenses.

9. He wore jersey number 8 in the game he played for the U-21 team but he is registered with jersey number 69 for the first team.

10. A forward who can also operates from the flanks or behind the main striker he is however yet to play any level of top flight football for the past one year.

The Nation Nigeria

Nigeria U-23 team coach, Samson Siasia
Siasia invites 30 for Brazil friendly
by Agency Reporter, February 26, 2016 at 4:50 pm in News Update, Sports FacebookTwitterSMSWhatsApp
Dream Team VI coach, Samson Siasia, has invited 30 players for the upcoming friendly against Brazil next month, with 21 foreign-based professionals making the list.
Those invited are – Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi, Barcelona fullback Godswill Ekpolo, CD Feirense pair of Etebo Oghenekaro and Dele Alampasu, and CS Sfaxien star, Junior Ajayi, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
KAA Gent new recruit, Peter Olayinka, who is undergoing rehabilitation after damaging his ligament, was named to the roster announced on Friday afternoon.
Former Torino starlet, Sergio Uyi, is in line to make his international debut having made the list.
Nine home-based players led by Emmanuel Daniel, Erhun Obanor and Sincere Seth have been invited for the get-together.
Home Based:
Emmanuel Daniel, Yusuf Mohammed, Segun Oduduwa, Erhun Obanor, Sincere Seth, Ndifreke Effiong, Ubong Ekpai, Bright Onyedikachi and Stanley Dimgba.
Foreign Based:
Dele Alampasu, Stanley Amuzie, Usman Mohammed, Azubuike Okechukwu, Sadiq Popoola, Etebo Oghenekaro, Saviour Godwin, Aminu Umar, Alex Iwobi, Iyayi Believe, Junior Ajayi, Taiwo Awoniyi, Peter Olayinka, Theophilus ‎ Solomon, Godswill Ekpolo, Sergio Uyi, Ovbokha Agboyi, Nathan Oduwa, Musa Mohammed and Saturday Ekiego.

Sia1 has a wonderful selection headache on his hands especially regarding which strikers to use but i trust him to make the right choices. like icon noted i don't think we need ighalo in rio. we already have so many young attackers who are u23 that i feel can do the business are we forgetting ajayi so soon or awoniyi or osimhen? add success, iheanacho and chikatara would you know it we are practically covered. i think we should focus on areas were we are not so strong eg defence. happy to see the emergence of that young boy in porto. there's also one guy in bolton a former madrid prospect can't recall his name now he can also bolster the defence. i'm rooting for leon balogun to help form the core of the defence line for rio. kingsley madu looks a sure bet for leftback hopefully stanley amazie can rediscover his form and give him a run for his money. i'm also worried for musa mohammed hopefully when he's called to camp he will regain his confidence.

starting xi for rio
gk. daniel
lb. kingsley madu
cb. leon balogun
cb. amuzie
rb sincere seth
dm. ndidi/usman mohammed/onazi
cm. azubuike okechukwu
am. iheanacho/ifeanyi matthew
rw. moses simon
lw. etebo
fw. success/ajayi/osimhen

preferred position 4-5-1/4-3-3 variant

Hmm! This is how my recent starting 11 will look like.

gk. Daniel
Lb. Kingsley Madu
Cb. Kenneth Omerue
Cb. Leon Balogun
Rb. Moses Odubanjo
Dm. Ndidi
Cm. Ogenyi-onazi
Am. Abdul Ajagun
Rw. Moses Simon
Lw. Ezekiel Imoh
Fw. Ighalo

These are the men.

Sub. Iheanacho, Success, Ehizibue, Iwobi, Ugbo, Etebor, Okechukwu, Alampasu, Olaitan

Now, let us examine and compare the players Siasia invited for friendly and the other list suggested by a forumite with my list.

Note: Uche Agbo was not played as an attacking midfielder in Granada when i saw him played. He was mostly used as a defensive midfielder and box to box midfielder and that was why i included him as a defensive midfielder.

guy why you like argue defeated cause? thank God you said ezekiel has only scored 3 goals this season is that good enough? boy might still come good but siasia has no time to be waiting for a player to perform

egbon you funny o comparing ajagun to ronaldinho and mata. for one the latter two were sold while ajagun wasn't even deemed good for panathanikos to sell and make profit

please in future try and watch players performances and stats before recommending them not just scouring the internet checking for nigerian sounding names on any european teams list and then concluding he's good enough
forgiveness:

Bros, e bi like say you no see the statistics well. Check it again, you will see he scored 12 goals last season. Abi 12 goals na yam? The lad has even scored more goals than Moses Simon this season. What else do you want from him? Mind you, he is a winger and not a Striker. Ok! Tell me if there is any player better than him.

Which coach? The new coach? You should have told us how Guardiola didn't wait to see the back of Ronaldinho. You should have told us how Mourinho didn't wait to see the back of Mata.

What he did his more important to me than inexperienced bench warmers. Atleast, he is doing something. He played 69 matches for Panathinaikos-fc and scored 10 goals as a midfielder.

Abegi, come up with something else.

Agbo?

We all know Michael Olaitan already played in the Champions League two seasons ago before he suffered minor heart problem but nobody called into the national team. You see what i am talking about. Nevertheless, he came back after 10 months and played some few matches before he was loaned the next season. However, he played regularly for Fc Twente this season before he was loaned again to belgium were he still plays. Tell me who you wan take replace this boy.

Ezekiel Imoh is playing regularly and has scored more goals than moses Simon this season. That is the point. Don't forget Siasia has extended invitation to him for the friendly against Brazil.

Ajagun is what Ronaldinho was to Barcelona in his club before the new coach came in November last year.

Under new Chelsea manager José Mourinho, Mata spent a lot of time on the bench. Mourinho preferred Oscar as a playmaker, and suggested Mata needed to adapt to a wider position and to working harder defensively. Wikipedia

Bros, i have seen most of the players i listed.
