It not a scam. I stay in the UAE, I did the same to get my job. But I applied here and followed it up here. But since you are in Nigeria thats's how jobs in the GCC(Gulf Cooperation Council) reply if you apply from another country. You applied through dubizzle in Nigeria that's why. Go ahead bro. The 1000 aed is a deposit for your working visa which costs around 4000aed. The balance will be deducted monthly from your salary when you start the job because it's the company that will do for you with their money. Dubizzle is a very safe site. It's scam free. It's virtually almost impossible to be scammed on dubizzle. Go for it. If there's a phone number try to call them first and confirm because they are meant to give you an invoice for your payment. The refund will be given on presenting the invoice.

OP that letter is a big Scam. The Grammar is terrible and mind you if an Omani company is employing you they will never demand for a kobo. Also the letterheaded paper has no telephone, website or email address. Flee from them and stop all further correspondences with these people

It's a particular type of "yahoo yahoo" called employment. Yankee has stepped up security so they have now turned to Dubai and its environs. If u pay na sorry be ur name.

We can't conclude yet if its a scam. Since the letter read that they will first make the payment till your visa is out and you have to confirm its real. That they will make the first payment and you will reimburse them after it's successful. In that case, me I will ask them to invest their money while you wait and watch them in 3D while u are sipping your bottle of Pepsi with some pop corn. Don't conclude yet just don't part away with your money for processing.

Confirm your visa online but not on your passport? Dude are you a learner? They will refund you when you arrive? I laugh in french. You even sound like you've already fallen for it bro. Be wise, don't allow yourself get scammed

some time this month, I got a mail from a supposed firm in Oman demanding that I send my whatsapp number to them that I showed interest to work in their firm. I sent the number. They called me on whatsapp with a foreign number and I was 'interviewed'. I was also asked to scan to them the first page of my international passport, I did. Attached is the rest of the discussion.

I dont know if its real or the work of scammers. Also attached is the Offer letter they sent me

That's Mighty scam, how can employer have an open appointment letter. No employee's name.

I work in the UAE too and I work in HR, visa and my ticket was free, I did not pay a dime, moreover visa with the medical fitness will never cost AED4000. I guess you are the scammer!

Fraudsters all over the world. Just the horrible English is enough red flag to let you know they're not serious. I will keep saying it, no reputable company will demand you to pay for any part of your employment processing.

The letter itself shows it was 100% Scam

1. Currency of Oman where you plan to work is Omani Rial, why paying in Dirham of UAE??
2. I don't expect such statement as underline in an official letter (Screenshot below). Seems your scammers are not good with official english syntax undecided

3. Your scammers got carried away with social shorthand in official letter. "u" for you grin

I highly suspect it's a scam.Apart from the poorly written letter, companies do not work like this in the GCC. The company is responsible for getting you a visa, work permit and everything else. Chance are, if they do get you a visa, you will be left alone frustrated and probably end up deported.I know someone who got a job in a very similar manner. She sold everything she had to pay for a visa. Guess what? They did get her a visa but a VISITING visa. Her visa expired and she couldn't pay for a flight ticket to go back home.
