Had this argument with my dad,and he said is a taboo for him to live in a house built by his wife,so I really want to find out why this decision of a woman to build a house is a crime against humanity............ Plz I need more opinions thanks

For me I don't see anything wrong living in a house built by your humble, respectful and well cultured wife.

But for the selfish wife without manners please don't live in a house built by her, because she will always frustrate your life with this phrase "this house is my hard earned money", forgetting that wives are helpmates to their husbands.

I can't live in a house built exclusively by my wife except I have contribution I also made to it (no matter how small).

Its a wrong formation to me. God has made a man higher in brain than a woman. They may be richer though, but there's just this thing about men they'll never seem to understand.

No matter how nice they are, they're still women and they can't stop acting funny. Their best position is to have a man to look up to especially on shelter issue. I've seen a family where the woman packed everything in d house including car and dog bcus of quarrel with her husband. Thank God say na d man build the house; the embarassment was all over town. It was later discovered she had a richer lover; a business partner or so. Women are always women. I prefer her support as wife living in my house and not me living in her house.

The only time she will turn a dictator is if the man ain't providing basic need with exemption to the housing..

The woman goes and builds house, some will now say she is an enemy of progress against tradition. If she built it why must the house be in his name? Una never happy. If your wife builds a house it's "our house". But if man builds house its "his" house abi?

Marriage includes both parities. I don't see it as a bad thing. But only a cultured and educated Nigerian man will accept it. If a wife builds a house it's "thier" house. If husband builds a house it's "thier" house. Simple.

I don't know if I can but I think it will be so uncomfortable and an underachievement if I can't provide the roof for my family's head and allowed my wife to do that.

this is serious matter. husband can live in such house if only the house was built in his name and he is aware of it (house )right from the foundation up to the finishing point. but there will always be guilty conscience anytime matter arising about the house in the heart of the husband.

In the society we live it's an abnormally. But if she did have before we got married and I don't have a house of my own we can live there (hoping that she is a very humble type) but the situation will put me on my toes and make me strive harder to build a better house for us to move into and rent out the other.

If you are truly happily married...I meant you married your best friend, confidant, helpmeet ....You will gladly do anything together....You won't see the house built either by any of you as individual property but OUR PROPERTY
