Hi Guys,

Thanks for the engaging forum!!

I've been offered admission to Waterloo for a PhD with guaranteed 4yrs funding (34k CAD per year). I am currently an academic staff with a uni in South Africa (where I obtained my masters degree in 2011). I applied for my study visa online and uploaded my admission letter, upfront medicals, police clearance, funding letter, my 6 month bank statement, and bank statements from my parents in naija. In my LOE, I indicated that the account statements from my parents was to indicate that they are willing and able to support me if the need arises ( my account statement and funding letter is sufficient IMO; my account balance is approx. 12k CAD).

I have been following the conversations on the forum and notice that people also submit their English proficiency test scores, masters certificate, pay slips, education evaluations (WES), etc. Should I send a case inquiry and submit these documents? I am already worried that the processing time in SA is ludicrous and wouldn't want my application to be unduly delayed.

I applied on the 11th of May, did my biometrics on the 6th of June. Biometrics status changed to "not needed at this time" but no other update as yet.

Pls what do you advice? Am I missing any crucial document?........when it comes to ties at home, it even gets more worrisome. My parents are in Nigeria, I have a permanent residency status in South Africa and also have a sister living here in SA with her family. I have two brothers in the US and another sister in Lagos. Will this prove to be a problem regarding my "ties to home country"?

You're an academic staff in an English-speaking university, you're also educated in an English-speaking country. You do not need any English proficiency test or WES. Though a reference letter from your university in SA would have been helpful.

Hello,

This thread is part 10. Tried to follow as a "Silent Addict" like the other guy, but it didn't work so far. So I have to open up and admit that I want to apply for a Canadian University, masters in Biological Science or Agricultural related course. Please, second class lower grade. I need help about the deadlines and terminologies. Am not a linesman, I've stayed on the side of the pitch too long marking offsides and other people's testimonies.

In short... I need HELP. Help me start and Complete the application.

Thanks.

I can't for sure say if one is missing one thing or the other. One thing that is certain is that no two cases have same circumstantial elements. For example what may be likely very important supporting document to a prospective undergraduate student may be irrelevant for a graduate study permit applicant. But at same time it could be very important in supporting certain claims. For instance, one may have a case of misspelling of any of his names or wrong date of birth. Despite putting in a sworn affidavit from a court, ur SSCE which bears ur picture, the correct names and date of birth can perfectly fit in for this specific purpose. Rather than merely putting it in as a graduate student to show VO that u attended or made good grades in secondary school. That's just not important and could be a surplus considering the no. of documents u needed to upload.

All boils down to your application forms and incase ur letter of explanation if u needed one. I am happy u applied online, u see that letter of explanation even is not compulsory. There are certain documents that should bother you if u missed to upload, like letter of admission, bio-data page of your passport, medical if applicable of course if u had answered NO. for medical in the preliminary form they wouldn't ask or provide for that in your proper application form.

In conclusion, I believe that it is individual affair, therefore socio-economic circumstances, background, educational qualification, even age, etc determines which of the documents would be required. Thus, if Mrs Rice check F under the gender field and get her visa Mr John will definitely be drown if he choses same option. Nevertheless, u can contact the high commission of Canada through any of there contact information online for direction on how to send the documents across to fulfill all righteousness if only that will make you feel better.

Unfortunately, you're not allowed to submit additional documents after your application is filed. Its doubtful they will review any additional documents you submit through case inquiry.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by NonelikeGod: 10:44pm On Jun 17, 2016
That's the importance of taking your time to read previous threads carefully and attentively.
You scan all related documents as one file. Now your marriage certificate and whatever else should come under the LETTER OF EXPLANATION as one file.
Send me an email, I'll send you a sample of how to group your documents.

Hi guys,

I have uploaded all the necessary CIC forms online but I cannot find any link to upload more docs. I need to upload marriage cert, soa of spouse et all, where is the link? Also, is it compulsory to include a letter of explanation? Have pple gotten TRV's w/o adding a letter of explanation? I would not want to be denied because I did not inlude it in my application. Thanks y'all for your kind assistance
