The maximum time for you to complete your program is 36 months.
You don't have any problem with that.
You can complete your program in less than 36months

Was in the same shoe...
On my Ds-160 form I filled 2 years as my length of stay in the USA even though my I20 stated 36 months which is equivalent to 3years and as expected, the VO asked me why there was the discrepancy.. I simply told him that a typical student finishes in 2 years and that I contacted my school and they informed me that 36 months was written on my I20 incase there's an extension (didn't contact them tho but I had a printed copy from their website where it was stated..wanted to show the VO but he asked me not to bother.)
I was advised to put 2 years instead of 3 years on my DS-160 form so they won't think that I don't want to come back to my country..lol..

Good luck..

that is incorrect information my good man.. An AAS degree lasts for 2 years after which you transfer the credits to a university to complete and acquire a bachelors. Hope I set the records straight.

Instead of going for an associate (if ur sibling dont have enough that ok ) better to carry SAT book and online material . Study as if you life depends on it , get good grades and then apply to Universities for a BSC that give full ride scholarship to international students . There should be some in NY , worse case u target other east coast Universities and take a Bus/ Train to NY for weekend .

You might be better off long term with that instead .

he might not have the mental or pecuniary capability to fulfill the route you specified for him. simply elucidate on how he can achieve his dreams, all fingers arent equal my dear.

That did cross my mind but u have to try first and aim for a better option hence i recommended that ........ If that doesnt work at least he tried that or was made aware of it . The rest of his question on how he goes about admission , either CC of BSC Google has all the answers to guide him or he can look at old post on NL for guidance .

As at 15th of this month the vast majority of people here with visa's will begin to travel let us thrash some issues.

1. How much is the minimum PTA to carry in cash for a traveller?

2. Do we need yellow card also called vaccine card to get to the US?

3. Can any immigration official stop an individual from travelling for whatever reason and what is to be done in such a case?

4. Do you need to give anybody money as a first timer? And likely questions to be asked at the point of entry.

Please I need answers so people can learn no insults, the answers aren't for me but we all learn everyday... Cc justwise, gunther6, gunther8, aadeyi, lagosismyhome, deetus, siriddy, msnas, slimmy2005...

Nah my sister, I'm man of integrity. It's just funny that Deetus response was funny and right on point. Of what good are these garri girls forming Malia Obama, who don't even know what's next for their future in the U.S? My wife is sufficient for me. She's right there with me everywhere online, on my nl profile or facebook. She's endowed with intelligence, geniality, affection and ambition. She doesn't flaunt her level of education, where she schooled, what she has or where she's from.
