OluDare01:It happened to me too. I was 'Turned Back' and was given a TB form which instructed me on how to reschedule. They may need to pay another fee if they haven't exceeded the reschedule limits. I had to pay another visa fee I guess I must have exceeded the limit. |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by Walspring: 4:53pm On Jul 13, 2016 |
akins2016:Before if your bar code doesn't match, to reschedule is free and when the statistics are getting out of hand and people misused it, took it for granted that's when payment for another visa fee started same thing applicable to changing and updating of ds160 confirmation directly from applicant appointment profile, before applicant can do it on his/her own after booking appointment interview but now applicant must send email to the embassy to update if for the applicant. |

@@@ I'm going to pursue my Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. I received my I-20 with Information Science/Studies and some codes written on it as my Major. I wrote the admission office and got this as reply, "SEVIS is limited as to what majors we can use to describe your program of study. “Information Science/Studies” is used for the Computer Information Systems major." Is that OK? |

Hycon:The admission office will know more than us because thats their expertise. If they said so then its ok. If you are still not comfortable then print out the email where it was stated and go with it to your interview. |

(although I was still considering applying to two more when I received my admission letter from the dpt I applied to and never bothered...). Then, I started processing my I20 and by mid April, I was ready to appear at the US Consulate. I was scared at first cos of the 120 days rule but summoned courage and showed up during the last week of the month because I still had loads of preparation to complete (vaccines to take, flights to book, e.t.c).
I still continued all my preparation in hope that I would go look for some jjob or scholarships upon my arrival cos the exchange rate kept devaluing my savings
