Brother, please what do you think of the Environmental Engineering graduate program at Texas A&M University-Kingsville? I have a scholarship to study at any University of my choice; however, I don't think schooling in the UK is an option, and TAMU, Kingsville, is the only school in which I've gained admission. I also think it's counterintuitive deferring my scholarship to spring.

I need your prompt scholarly advice please. I have a "good" profile.

You can go with TAMUk for a semester and thereafter switch to another school. Albeit, I think the Environmental program is moderately well ranked.

so d plane took off at 2:20pm dis was changed by Emirates from d normal 8:35pm I was supposed to fly initially... got to Dubai around 1:15am Dubai time... i had an 8 hour lay over so i was entitled to an hotel because of d cancelled flight as compensation... so a bus came to pick us up took us to d hotel n we were told to come down at 6am for breakfast (on Emirates ) bfre we wld b taken back to d airport for connecting flight to Chicago at 9:50am.. flight was smooth to Chicago.. got to Chicago 3:30pm...

Hello. Good to know you arrived NM safely. I'll be flying Emirates early August and I'll have a 22 hours layover in Dubai. I wanna know if I have to check out my luggage at Dubai. I'd prefer leaving it with the airline. How did it play out for you?

Thanks alot bro!... Well, mine was an 8 hour lay over... I didn't check out my luggage in Dubai... it was moved into the connecting flight to Chicago by Emirates... to be double sure, i asked at MMIA and i was given a baggage claim ticket in MMIA for chicago n not Dubai, I asked at d Emirates help desk in Dubai again to be sure make person no go enter one chance I even waited at d baggage claim in Dubai for some minutes to see if my stuff go show face but it didn't (I guess Dis wasn't necessary).. once u get to the MMIA, u cld ask to be sure or u call emirates help desk to confirm but I think it's Deir responsibility to transfer ur luggage.... all d best bro!

All luggages are usually checked till you get to ur first landing point in America. U dont have to worry or tell them..... Based on ur ticket thats d airline job to do and ensure

However if you have a connecting flight within America that when u will be given ur luggage to recheck in

When you were rejected what reason was given?
Was it something like 214b or finances, or something else?
Then we can advise.

[quote author=Gentleamos post=47806697]Am so sorry if there was a misunderstanding, actually I didn't mention my schools name cause I thought I should give out vital information Only
Butball the harsh words is uncalled for I think
Thanks for those that gently corrected me,
I am going to university of Texas at Dallas and they have a very good reception for international students, if you have Gre of about 300 and above and a good TOEFL score abeg apply sharp sharp and hope and pray cause you might be accepted. Please an sorry once again but detest the harsh words

Gentleamos congrats in your visa. I am also heading to Dallas, but going to University of Texas Arlington. I hope we get to meet. I am looking for a travel partner. Are you going from Abuja or Lagos?

Our guru has spoken undecided ... Such high quality advice ... Finances, spiritual , lies all fall under 214b which simply translates to lack of home ties.. @segunthebook listen to his advice at your cost ... Post your interview transcript so people that passed through the process or are actually in the United states can comment... My 1 cent

Absolute rubbish bordering on lies.

214b is intention to immigrate.
Finances
and fraud (lies) are all different codes.
You will not be rejected for spiritual reasons.

Is anyone really rejected due to lack of finance. ...i have observed that the Vo dont check bank statement . I am guessing that they rely on the school to do that check before the i20 is released so for you to get to the stage of the inteview then u have an i20 hence fulfilled the Finance element

How they reject is best known to them but for student visa i wont say lack of finance especially since u have an i20 .they don't even check finances for majorities of applicants. No document checked

I would like to know how someone gets rejected based on finance. ..any ideas anyone ?

I'm the one to correct you on this: "If I don't get GA where others [in the same department e.g Chemistry Department] are getting it". That statement addressed only departments that give GA to students. As such, they give it based on academic performance. I can't generalize getting GA since I know not all departments give it.
better. U don clarify but that does not mean you will not buy me beer na. Wen make i show new york?
