lol.... wink...To pay tuition and continually obtain favor if your parents are not in the cadre of the dangotes or The Adenugas of this world then you need an established Faith in God because without it you cant please God hebrews 11:6, a friend of mine got a rare scholarship (tuition and living expenses) worth $47,000 to attend oral roberts university, there were only three others in the world that obtained this rare type of scholarship and he had applied without even being considered in the past two years when he was a serious groove man until he started being serious reading the word of God and church activities like evangelism, even at his interview they approved his visa with out asking about his program so the key thing is to hold on to God, he still does miracles without stress, because you may save from now till eternity and still not affor what you need...God help us all in our pursuits for excellence in Jesus name

Hello house, Please who has insight about Flywire and Form A? How does flywire work? Do they work hand in hand? Can i make payments before registering for Classes? If i am using form A what do i need, to make the payment in Nigerian Bank? Can someone make payment with form A on my behalf while i am abroad? Detailed reply will be appreciated.

This is a wrong thought my brother..

It seems you don't know anything about your course at all..

If you thinking you don't want to talk about research how about the research the school does that is related to your course one way or the other

Did you check your school departmental or faculty website to know more about your school and course

If not you need to do that and research well about your school and course as well

In my own opinion, I thought to myself which school doesn't offer research programmes. I was at the EducationUSA briefing last week and the VO spoke again giving rehearsed speeches and generic answers such as student to teacher ratio blah blah.
So I had to research about what was special about my school and thankfully I found a genuine selling point about my school.
I'm not writing off research but if one is to talk about research, should it be quite specific?

Flywire is a third party some schools use to avoid releasing school account details to every dick and tom

Go to https://www.flywire.com/
Create an account and supply your student details
You will be sent details of where to wire the money to
You will fill form A and follow all the Nigerian Banks normal torture .( Somebody can actually do it on your behalf through his or her account)
Once Flywire receives the money , they will transfer to your school in 24hrs
There is no charge for this service on your part

Don't know about flywire sha but as for Form A, one can make on your behalf but since you won't be around to make the transaction,it must come from the person's account cos he or she will have to sign and also input his or her bvn. All the person needs is your admission letter, your certificate and he or she wl make an application at the bank including filling d form. Hope you also have the bank details of the school. It wl be needed too.

Personally it all about putting it in content ...If you are going for English or Economics then you dont have to talk about research . There can be other things you can talk about that made you think" this school with be a good fit for me ". If you are going for a Degree that is very scientific and research oriented then i think a good selling point is if you talk about research because it shows you have done your homework and you can catch someone attention like hummm this guy know book ooo . The interview is less than 2 mins anyway so its not texbook talk but brief showoff that you know your stuff

At an undergrad level i dont expect a 100 level to know so much in dept knowledge into research so if you are not so specific , i think its fine . ..... I think its best if u imagine what kind of things you would have worked at during your years in the school (d school website can guide u) and what you hope to do with the degree after . I think that would help you frame why you think that school you help you achieve your dreams. ... There is a transcript form Heylie undergrad as well . I loved how he framed his response using research ...But it doesnt have to be research but you have to do research on what good about the school that made you want to go there

The problem with student ratio, For example in the UK all nursery are 3 children to 1 teacher/ Key carer . Then i ask you why are you sending your child to XX nursery, you say because only 3 children per teacher , I would be like Duh , isnt that a given in most if not all nursery ...Most schools have a good student to faculty ratio so why people keep saying that is a mystery . The US is an organised society , they will not give 500 student to one teacher. .... When i hear student ratio, i am like u think this is jaga jaga Nigeria tongue.....
Anyway these are just my personal views though .

Can you tell us why you are asked to come back with new i20 and courier package and is it the VO that told you that

Also do you apply for the admission yourself or do you use printed copy of your I20 from your email to go for the visa interview

If you answer the above question I will say something but lemme keep it for now and I hope it's not what am thinking

Visa approved on Tuesday Morning. 7 am.
I cannot say whether I gained from this thread or not but I enjoyed reading transcripts and I love to share my experience and post thoughts.i am neither happy nor excited.

5 years ago, I was at the embassy for education advisory services for counseling and orientation. I ruled the US out my my options due to the sad and hard visa experiences and how Nigerians are treated all in the name of getting a visa. May God continue to punish our thieving leaders with different diseases for making our country unbearable for the masses. (Forgive me for using such statements)

I felt degraded and kind of lost morale and interest in getting the visa after spending hours on the queue with security checks and bio-metrics. I got into the so called interview hall and found people giving all sort of excuses and reasons to be in the USA. For my mind I was swearing for our past leaders who failed to improve our educational system /economy .

I was surprised to listen to the interview of a man who applied for immigrant but was refused due to the fact he couldn't tell the vo his date of birth. I lost morale on the spot when I listen to other interviews. At that time, I was certain I too had forgotten my name. Tension was every where.

From the entrance at windows 5,The vo drilled a young man for 6 mins or so. I stared at him and swallowed the saliva in my mouth when we had eye contact.i quickly removed my face and told god not to move me to this window 5. I was hoping to be interviewed by one of the female vo but little did I know that I was wrong. Low and behold I ended up at window 5. A middle aged man was denied in front of me as the vo found out that he lied about his purpose of traveling. At that moment my head went blank. All the practicing and ginger left me as I met the same vo.

Me- good morning sir
Vo- no answer( for my mind I say my own done be today) what is your purpose of traveling to the United States ?
Me - I am going to svsu for my msc in comms in Michigan (stammering, I'm a stammer)
Vo-no why did you chose svsu ??
Me- svsu has good academic facilities and good lecturers (still stammering while the vo was typing and wasn't looking or listening to me). He cuts me. At that point I lost morale because I didn't really express my self I lost eye contact.
Vo.- how many schools did you apply to
Me- I told him 3 (at this point I my head was down while he was staring at me and asking questions) the vo mentioned the other school on my behalf and I said yes.

Vo- when did you graduate?
Me- I told him
Vo- what have you been doing since then?
Me - I told him my job functions still stammering and heads down. Truth was that I was expecting the blue paper at this point.
Vo- says something I didn't hear and hands me a paper I didn't bother to look at. At this point I forgot my passport was not returned back to me. It was outside the consulate I met some other guys who asked me how did my interview go. It was then I was reminded that I was approved as I realized that my passport wasn't returned and I clearly saw the color of the paper in broad daylight as the vo didn't circle anything.

no documents were asked for as the vo continued to ask me questions that needed a yes and no answers.i was lucky i guess cool

I want to thank the likes of dickoflife and olan who helped me with mock interviews. Only god knows what criteria the vo used to approve me because I wasn't impressive at all. I am neither happy or excited but was wondering why all these stress for a visa.? I will always pray for my country to get better one day as my interview experience has left me with mixed feelings
Congrats.
Yes, Nigeria needs "divine grace" to be great again. The country is in total shambles and is pitiful.

yes when you create an account with Flywire they would tell you their bank account to use , and a reference number to tie it back to you ...
Still dont see the point of Flywire and why schools cannot share their bank account so student pay directly instead of a middle man...

English as a major is quite complex and also Economics.
