Okay a Friend just asked me something now but I told him would give him response later.

This is the case, he said a friend of his wants to send him an IV of a birthday ceremony happening in Texas for him to go for Visit interview, this is now the case, the birthday is on September 11th and the guy who wants to bring copy of the IV couldn't make it down anymore, so he Is asking how can he get the IV and even if he could, can he still get an appointment date for interview as at now at the embassy?

Read back this has been stated many times!
Visa officer has said time and time again.
They do not look at invitations, they are not relevant.

Only strong ties to prove return home
and satisfactory finances.

I thank God for journey mercy. It was a long story . from Lagos to lome to Newark to Boston to Detroit to Ohio .I give God the glory. Poe
Cbp why did you pick this school, do you have anyone in Ohio.
Me: because I love the school. See my jack robbinson answer as I dey bleep dey talk rubbish
Cob repeated the question which I still repeated the same answer (looked at me like what's this man saying )
Cbp : do you know your major
Me: yes , mathematics
Cbp ok do have a nice time and enjoy your stay (before you start saying bs again)
Meanwhile , the guy before me was taken to a room only God knows why.
I missed my connecting flight the next day after a friend who we landed together but his own was new York came to meet me in Newark so he will take his connecting flight from Newark to Houston delayed me with talks sort of . also I was confused of the flight time I thought it was 12 59 not knowing it has changed in the boarding pass to 12 29. Infact, it was a long long story.
Thanks to imperious, lagosisherhome(Ohio is now my home grin) and everyone on here. I really appreciate. We shall all make it in life. Stay bless and stay out of trouble.

I missed my connecting flight the next day

I seen couple of missed flight ,...... It best to be at your boarding gate at least an hour or hour and half in advance for those with connecting flight .. Note that the time the flight will take off is different from the boarding time so make good allowance to be at your departure gate in good time

The good thing with the US is that they would put you on the next flight in most cases for free , but if you are to catch a bus or meet someone or arrive at your destination in good time so its not too late in the night then missing your flight disturbs that . Be mindful of your departure time and set an alarm if you have to

Safe travels to all ........

Well, sending it via courier is not bad

But what matter is for him to prove homes ties and intention of coming back after the party

I can see positive reactions to the last post. some NLers on my bbm have told me to write another part lol. I was already considering not writing anymore cos some people think I'm doing oversabi. People are so close-minded. How can anyone think sharing my experience is oversabi or bragging? It's not like I'm posting $20k gucci shoes or how I'm popping bottles in Las Vegas. Na wa o. Okay, let's continue... I just woke up. As usual, read without frowning at the errors or incoherence and we shall be good. So... where did we stop? aaaahhh... YES!

So I left JFK and was trying to find my way to the hotel I booked from Naija. The newly found Ijebu spirit in me was at its best, I was totally an Ijebu man and at that point if I had looked into a mirror I'm sure I would have seen Ijebu tribal marks on my face (Kidding o). It was about 8pm, next flight for 6am the next day. I sha called cab to take me to the hotel. The cab man said: oh, this isn't far. shouldn't be more than $15. I told him to be specific, he said he couldn't give a figure cos price was based on distance; fine! I hopped in, we moved. there was one device on his dashboard which showed one number that was increasing slowly, I was happy cos it read about 3.50 after some minutes, I assumed it was the current amount cheesy just $3.50!!! I was pleased. Na so I say make I look TV wey dey back seat with me. LO AND BEHOLD!!! I saw the real price $11.50 and still counting. I wanted to cry. I was so sad at this point. Na so the driver park, picked out his phone and called the hotel. He had missed his way and had to turn back. I was so sad. As he drove, the money was increasing, my sadness was increasing, my libido decreased. we sha reach hotel at $19.50, the guy asked for tip. Tip korr, full thrust ni. I left and went in.

Inside hotel, those ones sef no even care whether I come late. Them bill full price plus TAX! my morale was so low, trust me. I was very sad. I had spent close to $200 out of BTA wey I plan to spend for 1 month plus. I sha went upstairs. I couldn't use the access card they gave me to open my room door. One oyinbo man sha helped me. As I got in, I sat there with so much sadness. I sha powered my pc, use internet. My bro called on skype. He was with his friends and their babes. about 8 guys and 12 girls. They were treating me like a multiple award winning superstar. All of them wanted to talk to me and see yankee. I sha showed them around. I was super hungry but couldn't stop thinking about the price! I decided to starve, told my bro about it. He said lailai, I should go downstairs and get food. I went.

As I got to the food place. cheesycheesycheesy I saw the waiter and for some seconds, I was at my best again. Now, let's deviate and touch some very unimportant issues. All my life, I had thought whites weren't so beautiful. I thought they all had ugly spots, were either obese or skinny like brooms. I used to say black beauty was the best... black girls have booty, curves, etc and whites were flat and unsexy. If you've been thinking the same... GET THAT BLOODY IDEA OUT OF YOUR FCUUKKING MIND. Forget those brooms you see on TV and those fake oyinbos wey dey Nigeria. American girls are the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!! Now let's go back; the waiter. About 5'9", had a tattoo on her... chei! This girl fine! her hair, eyes, teeth, lips, hips, yaaaaaaaaaaaannnssshhhhhhh!!! it was just two of us. she kept smiling. I told her I wanted food. she passed the menu. Oh boy I no see anything wey I sabi for the menu. I sha look, choose the cheapest thing. She asked: how do you want it? I wanted to say: "slowly... use your tongue on the tip then go down till you take it all in, don't worry it won't choke you" then I remembered we were talking about food. I knew nothing about what I had ordered, she sha explained do you want it fully cooked or half? Cook what? lol me wey no know wetin the thing be. I sha said fully cooked (safe option). $17.80 for whatever the nonsense I had ordered was!!! as she turned back to go and prepare it, I couldn't stop looking at her... she asked if I wanted it delivered to my room when it's ready... raise your hand if you can guess my answer and the idea that came to my head. Yes, I know you'll get it. PERVERTS!

After 30 mins there was a knock on my door cheesy I opened, and was gonna turn my James Bond game on but it was one ode boy that brought the food. I wanted to slap his head and tell him to take it back and send the girl sad sad sad I sha opened it. steak, chips, some green things like that, ketchup and some other things I didn't know. THEY DIDN'T PUT WATER. I ate and had to go downstairs for water small size $1.50. I saw the girl again. she fine no be small. I remember slimmy warning, rape and assault. I just leave am go upstairs. Remember that girl I said I was famzing while I was in Nigeria? The swallower cheesy I called her and told her I was in America. She was super excited. Told her I was in NY and would be in town the next day. I was hearing her voice for the first time, na so so chat we dey chat before. She didn't wanna stop talking. I sha scope am say I go call am back, na so I discharge am. I got out around 4.45am and on my way out I saw some other people going out too. fine girls everywhere. They were glowing, radiant beauty. They looked so cool. I must tell you here again, No way in hell should you say those black girls in Naija are finer than white yankee girls. Without being racist, I can tell you categorically. American girls are going to blow your mind.

I told the cab driver to drop me at Terminal 1 cos that was where I was the previous night. I thought it would be the same, I was wrong. my flight was at terminal 8. I thought it was just a few minutes of walking. I was walking and walking, I missed my way. after asking, I had to get another cab for $10. when I reached terminal 8, I had missed my flight. Not only that. no other flights from JFK to my destination for that day. They asked if I'd like to go to another airport, I sha said yes. $135 extra sadsadsad $75 for rebooking, $60 for luggage. No cash payment. I had to go to a machine to convert my cash to a credit card for an additional $5. Everything sha went. she said I could get a cab for $45 or use the air train for like $13 total. mtchew, I chose the usual cheesy I went to air train station, na so I enter air train for the first time. Air train to Jamaica, NY. Normal train to Roosevelt Ave, Bus to the airport. No point talking about how to get a metro card that gives you access to all means of transportation. it's pretty straight forward. As I finished getting my card, I mistakenly carry one Japanese guy box. The guy pursue me like say I wan steal am. I sha explained, he smiled and that was it.

Got to the airport, checked in and was ready. I bought food (again, no idea what I was buying. I just chose the cheapest thing off the menu and ate it like that. $6.99, Pepsi for $3.99) I sat there and skyped. $4.80 wifi, access in all airports across the country for 1 month. I skyped with one NLer too, we talked about girls. No be only me like girls o. Americans have taken "freedom" to another level. Everybody minds their business. If you like wear anything, na you sabi. Their girls are fiiiiiiinnnneee and sexy. I kept looking as they walked up and down. big yansh everywhere. American girls have big yansh o. At this point, apart from the American girls, I wasn't pretty normal. No excess excitement, I was just normal. when we landed, my school reps greeted me and other international students waiting. They sha drove us to school. 1hr 30mins drive. I slept after 15 mins. When we got to the school... OH BOY!!! My excitement level moved from 3% to 15,977%. Absolute beauty! If you think studying abroad is too expensive and overrated, please and please, you need to be in America. I am a Unilag graduate and you know how we Akokites brag about Unilag. But please, It's like comparing Ajegunle to Paradise. No similarity whatsoever. God will punish all the leaders in Nigeria, if you think Nigeria is getting better and it's just a few more years before it reaches yankee level. I can tell you categorically: It won't happen in your lifetime. No be swear, the difference is toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. some people were playing volleyball, 11pm o. everywhere looked superb.

How many times have you heard "It was like a dream"? I swear, it literally happened to me for the first time in my entire life. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was like a deer in headlights. Everything felt so alien to me. I was totally ultra-mega-overwhelmed. Imagine leaving okokomaiko to make your debut at age 16 for Barcelona and wearing the captain armband ahead of Messi, Iniesta and the rest. Ladies and gentlemen, I didn't know what to do. I just kept following, looking left and right. the 12-floor residence halls were magnificent. I don't how to put this into words to make you realize what I'm really talking about. Kai, unilag people will be bragging about how out of this world the 12-storey senate building is. Y'all have been scammed!!! Ordinary residence hall!!! I don't have a phone to take pictures. I'll get a phone this week sha. we went to the 10th floor. Room for two. They gave me a roommate from iceland, the guy tall no be small. 6'6", me wey be like 6'3" sef look short for him side. The room! simple o but chei... Unilag boys go dey form big boy for unilag BQ. y'all are mad o. 20mbps unlimited internet, Bye bye to PHCN, the ac for the room be like freezer (My roommate is from iceland, the guy no even dey shake. The cold wan kill me. I'm not exaggerating, the ac wan kill me), Ac dey everywhere. Ac dey bathroom. I use hot water baff, as I off water, chei... I wan die. The ac wan finish my life. How them go put AC for bathroom? I sha got to the room again and skyped with people.

Sunday, I watch community shield online. The internet fast no be small cheesy Then they came to tell us we'd be leaving for walmart by 12. Walmart dey inside my school. Na so one woman (Lecturer) say shey we go like drive inside her car or follow the general van, me and my roomie and one Uk boy choose the woman van. Omo, come hear gist. A brand new kind of sense of humour. It's not easy to understand their jokes if you've only been listening to Basketmouth and Akpos jokes. I couldn't stop laughing, it was like a dream. she showed us around, pointing and telling us about everywhere. att, tmobile, verizon, sprint all of them get shops on campus and she use joke finish me about all of them. No lecturer for unilag dey play like that, we dey gist like say we be buddies. Naija lecturers go dey expect god-like treatment. When they open shoprite in any new state, news go carry am like say na 8th wonder of the world. If you've only been to shoprite all your life, Walmart is going to blow your mind. They have practically everything you need as a student. EVERYTHING! Na now I start to dey see my school girls. Holy smokes, how many times have I talked about American girls? They all smiled when our eyes met. They were so polite and it was new to me cos of the stupid ode girls in gidi. Jam them for shoprite and say hi, them go dey form nonsense wey I no even understand. Every new thing I saw made me very emotional (please forgive me, it's my first time out of Naija). I'll post part 3 if this gets positive reactions.

In summary, Please do all you can (legally) to get out of Nigeria and experience America and once you're in, you have to stay in status cos bros, if them bounce you out, you're gonna regret it all your life! For those who don't wanna write TOEFL/GRE, no make me slap you o. Put in more work, IT IS WORTH EVERY STRESS!!! Now I know why they are so strict about making applicants prove they wanna go back to their country. This country will blow your mind. I understand those that think it's better in Nigeria and life here is difficult. It's gonna be very very difficult here if there's no source of income, cos things are expensive. If you can look for a way to fix income, chei... your life go sweet no be small. Now that I'm in, I have failed to see any advantage Naija has over Yankee. I'm willing to tackle any baga that's trying to discourage you all from getting the visa. Don't mind them oooo!!! Awon weyrey, this is what they've been hiding. If I get a phone, I'm going to post pictures and tell you about the pictures. lmao, see Ikoyi, Lekki and V.I wey them dey hype. Chei, if you haven't left Nigeria before... I pray you get an American visa. Words can't explain the stark upgrade you're going to experience. I'm willing to do my best with tips and advice to anyone who needs it, for the millionth time, AMERICA IS WORTH EVERY STRESS if you've lived all your life in Nigeria.

Go and listen to Rihanna's American Oxygen. google the lyrics and be inspired. You can be anything at all in America. The American dream is real my brothers and sisters. Don't do anything illegal, keep your expectations simple. Try to blend with their way of life. Don't do oversabi, don't abuse the system. Remember it took years of planning and a lot of commitment to make the country this awesome, contribute to it. Don't be a parasite. Don't be too negative, don't whine after every little obstacle. Roll with successful people and try to succeed too. Life is short, we're all gonna die someday. Why not just enjoy life while you have it? There were people before us, there're gonna be people after us. God bless America. All you Buhari/APC supporters, lmao. Nigeria has a long way to go mehn. will it happen? DEFINITELY not this our generation. I'm not being pessimistic, it's just the truth. The difference is clear!

Sorry for the long post, I type too fast and I write long a lot. I'll learn how to stop. it's 7.10am now, about to start my day. chei, I just looked out the window as I wrote this. Get up and work for that visa!!! Come to AMERICA! Don't give up, come and experience 2 years in AMERICA, I won't support any illegal ish o, so don't ask me for nonsense. If your plan is to come here and study and flex responsibly, I'm here to help in any way I can. Peace.

Hello. Am new here, just Got denied by Canada for d 2nd time dis year ND I think Canada is nt for me after 17 weeks of holding my passport.
So my questions are:
1. Is admission still open for September or I can get admission for October
2. I want some1 to help me with schools dat offer PGD courses related to computer science.
3. How long does it take to get admission to these schools. My mail is bolajinas@gmail.com. Thanks

17weeks No be small thing oo

Well it depend on schools you want to apply for admission.

Its very rare to see schools in US that offer PGD but you can research and get one and admission decision for each schools differ, just hope for 1-3 months after submitting all your documents and you start counting

You might not remember me again, but I was asking about getting a scholarship into USA and you all came with tips and advice.
I finay do not need to try USA for fall 2017 anymore as I have now won the commonwealth shared scholarship to study in the UK and I'm only awaiting the outcome of my UK visa application. Though I still have USA in mind for PhD in. 2018.
I want to say thanks for being helpful.

Good morning house, please I need your help I was interviewed recently in Abuja for F1 visa, but was denied because I couldn't convince the consular to grant me the visa. Just in case same question comes up in my subsequent interview, what likely answer can I give to impress the consular? My course is Electrical Engineering. Thank you

You need work on your lapses because the VO have a reason why that single question but you couldn't convince the VO.

Are you going for Bsc or Msc ?

I seen couple of missed flight ,...... It best to be at your boarding gate at least an hour or hour and half in advance for those with connecting flight .. Note that the time the flight will take off is different from the boarding time so make good allowance to be at your departure gate in good time

The good thing with the US is that they would put you on the next flight in most cases for free , but if you are to catch a bus or meet someone or arrive at your destination in good time so its not too late in the night then missing your flight disturbs that . Be mindful of your departure time and set an alarm if you have to

Safe travels to all ........
Yea they put me on the other flight the next day.

Yes they confirm and it is very simple to confirm and no need to contact your school because it is boldly written on your I20

Hi Good day. My cousin is about to go for her undergrad the states, and they waived english proficiency test for nigerian student. But someone told me that some V.O's deny visa for some that fail to submit an english proficiency test even when told the university waived it for them. Please how true is it, should she write it or she shouldnt bother?? thanks

Its true that VO denied visa for those who doesn't write the test and it best known to the VO why denying them... VO are aware of most schools requirement and standard so do let your cousin do the right thing and the test will be helpful when seeking for funding or scholarship
