Please, don't bring my mom into this topic, if you have anything to say, direct it at me. Since you seem to know much about the truth and Noah in the Bible, please prove your point. Tell us more, perhaps I may learn something new.

Marriage ended 30 years ago but one of the children was 28 years. Yeye dey smell. Bringing Family Matter to the media is stupidity. Sen Stella, don't let attention seekers prey on your issues....
Tiwa was childish, reactional....take heed.

The name buwa and Etoromi sounds Itsekiri, and if the father is actually itsekiri, then the son ( the deceased younger brother) has commuted abomination according to itsekiri culture.
Itsekiris are ultra proud people, it is an insult for the young man to be the one to inform his father about the death of the senior brother. It is an abomination for the young man to invite his father to his son's funeral and offer to sponsor his trip.

Imagine the nonsense this young man is spewing;

“I called Mr Satchie and the Etoromi family to inform them immediately my brother passed. I offered flights, accommodation and special care for him or the representatives of the family throughout the funeral. I offered to build a relationship and have a new start."
Is he now taking responsibility as the head of the Oduah family? See the way he was referring to Hus father and his family as " Mr Satchie and the etoromi family" is he not also answering the name Etoromi?

Mr Etoromi was even right to have brought up the dowery issue. If stella Oduah' s family had not returned the bride price, then mr Etoromi and Stella Oduah are still traditionally married. For the marriage to be completely dissolved, the bride price must be returned. That is also the law in Igbo culture.

Fathers abdicating their parental responsibilities is fairly common in the Niger Delta, and it should be condemned, but that does not give the children the rights to insults their fathers. Except the children want to be referred to as bastards, they would need to trace the way to their father's home someday.

Granted Oduah may not be a model wife, did the boy do a bad thing by informing his estranged father about his son's death, even though the man has being absent? Why did the stupid man go to the media to disgrace himself after 30 years? Was that the best course of action,at his age? You people are only saying this because the woman is rich and from a particular place. Shio!!!

Pls do not trivialize this discussion. What has tribe or where she comes from get to do with the boys action. Is oduah the first famous political figure from that region? Pls do not derail this thread.
The boy can tell his father that his brother died but that doesn't make it official. Traditionally there are official channels of communication especially in cases like this. Why bury him in the mother's place if it wasn't to prove a point. Why not bury him in a cemetry wherever he died. Cases like this abound where women take custody of children and get them brainwashed. No good mother does that but, you wouldn't expect more from a serial divorcee whose kids have dffrnt fathers. That's the point here. Nobody cares about where she comes from or who she is.

Ryan Giggs is a total disgrace to the Giggs name. This is a man who shamelessly had an eight year sex.ual affair with his blood brother's wife and ended up breaking that home. Is that what you want the Giggs' family to be proud of?
The same Ryan Giggs is known for multiple extra-marital affairs with different women which ended is marriage also.
Bro, Ryan Giggs' name should never been mentioned on the same sentence with the word proud.
He is a total disgrace to his family, friends and the soccer world judging by normal moral standards.
Those who disrespect their parent(s) most times never end well.
It is just a matter of time, we shall hear the outcome of this young man.

There are some things you don't spew on public forum.

I did that for 2 reasons:
1. No one here knows me personally by my moniker. So am as secret as an anonymous member of this forum.

2. A lot of people on this thread do not have a simple iota of knowledge of what life is like in certain situations. That's why they can comfortable spew junk about what they have never had a single experience of. Therefore sharing my personal experience will give them some real view of it

true and while there are many irresponsible fathers, there are also many instances wher the father has tried to do his bit but the children have been so poisoned by their mother they want nothing to do with him. You know men generally don't talk, so kids tend to take what their Mother says as truth in the absense of the father's version.

I have a female colleague at the moment who is seperated from her husband, the husand does not know where she or his kids live. She showed me a text where ke was asking when and where he can see his kids, I keep telling her don't do this to your children, she never listens. When oy is time for school fees she will remmemver he is their father and be complaining that this man is late for fees. The choice of words she uses when talking about the father of her children to me a colleague, I can only imagine what she says to the kids. I look at her many times and think to myself you are cerainly a bad mother and perhaps a bad wife even though clearly the husband has issues but ofcourse i dare not tell her or she will chop my head. Those children will grow up thinking their father abandoned them. When in fact the mother refused access. I suspect one of the reasons she is refusing access and doesn't te;; the husband where she lives is because she is seeing someone....she had confided in me

I also know someone who resents her mother because she later in life found out that all the negative stories she told her about her Dad were false, the man is dead now.

Keep your sh*it away from your kids

Ironically she comes froma broken home herself rinse repeat the pyschological danage.

True.
If a mother denies a responsible father access to his children, they will eventually grow up to hate her. Lies may go on for a long time, but usually the truth always catches up with it.
I believe such cases can be taken to court for custody arrangements. Yes, even in Nigeria. No parent has the right of denying the other parent access to their children, except we have a parent that's a paedophile, on hard drugs ,or violent towards his children.

If you can shamelessly open your open and utter these words considering the pain they're going through, I can only ask God to have mercy on you. Before you type rubbish, please endeavor to read. As far as I'm concerned, a marriage that was divorced 30 years ago and the estranged father all of a sudden surfaced right now, deserves all the treatment he gets.

Buwa and I were the product of a short and abusive marriage that ended almost 30 years ago. To a man with many other wives and children. Stella Oduah is the only father, mother, carer and provider that my brother has ever known. The Oduah family is the only Family that he has ever been part of and Akili Ozizo in Anambra state is the only hometown he has ever had.

“I called Mr Satchie and the Etoromi family to inform them immediately my brother passed. I offered flights, accommodation and special care for him or the representatives of the family throughout the funeral. I offered to build a relationship and have a new start.

“I was happy and optimistic. But i was wrong. Instead of asking about his dead son, he proceeded to use my brothers passing as an excuse to shamelessly insult my mother just like he is doing now, issue death threats and even ask for dowry from almost 30 years ago.

what the hell are you talking about?
you are offering flight ticket to ur father to come bury his son at his ex wife's place?
do you have any culture at all?
the boy should have been planning on how to bring the poor boy's corpse to his father's home town.

Let your own biological father abandon you without a word from childhood before you run your mouth abusing the boy. Many Nigerian women are in abusive relationships culture forces them to endure in the name of marriage.

If Giggs was a better person he won't have slept with his brother's wife.
Sometimes in life we should not be all out for revenge.

For ur info. I've never been with my father since 3yrs (was told by my grand mother who trained me) but iam looking forward to hug him any day no matter how he treated me.

For this stupidity to continue shows how ignorance cannot be allowed to linger on. I repeat, a man who's not been in his children life is NOT worthy to be called a father let alone a dad. Quote me anywhere, IF the Bible forbids it, and our culture detest it, then why the hell are you bringing culture into it? You bring it in when it suits you right? Where was culture when the father went to the media? It's not the boy's responsibility to make plans to return the corpse home to his father's house since his father is ALIVE. That's an abomination, it signifies indirectly the boy wants his father dead. In our tradition, if the father had any rapport with is his kids, all these nonsense would not be in the media. In this case, since there was no rapport, the father and his kinsmen would make plans to return the corpse home, that's how it's done. Since the father couldn't fulfill a simple obligation, then let's forget all these nonsense argument.
