Hi my people.
having gone through some posts on cucumber farming. though am into some vegetables (farming), I decided to give cucumber a trial and its amazing starting from 7sacks(experimental) to 200sacks a pilot project going on.

Actually at day5 the Young leaves came out though not all.
the spec planted is darina mix. having experimented with the local seedling in my 7sacks.i think this darina is awesome.

into the 20th day. actually applied some pesticides to avoid story that touches the heart. #lolz

awesome .the cukes started flowering at 25days. Below is their pic @ day 27 which is 20-9-2016. also spotted some bees on duty. well my people that's all for now. more updates coming up as we progress.

wow. its been a while i updated my darina cukes experience. well @ 31days we spotted too many fruits.

thanks. I make use of 5.5horsepower pumping machine. to draw up water from the nearby stream. later on we make use of watering can, since its sack farming it also conserve water for the plants.

I really appreciate your in depth reply sir, permit me to ask one more question, do you water only in the morning or twice per day

i bought 950 per 10g satchet.if it is wat u mean cost per seedling.
I cant really tell bought am still experimenting. though i spotted some having 3-5 fruits per vine. i will get picture update tomorrow or sunday.

Pls is there a way of getting soil cos i dnt own a land but wil like to go into this sack farming. thanks i need answers.

Thanks. I only wet the soil once a day.and its usually in the evening when evaporation is reduced.

sorry for replying late due to my schedule. yes i made a hole at the base of the sacks about 2.5inches.to help reduce excess water in the sack especially when it rained.

you can do sack farming without owning a land if u have a space in ur house,where you can place and arrange the sack.no mata how small.
for the soil,check around your environment and see if you can spot any good garden soil or black soil.if u can't,then check people that owns flower garden for comercial.some do buy good soil for planting.ask them how you can get one.
for manure, i use poultry dungs to counter some treads here.where they complained of not comfortable with poultry dungs. I used three weeks old poultry dungs.also check around your environment to see if u can get one or two bags.

Goodmorning my pple and happy sunday. yesterday we celebrated the 38days of my cukes.As our great country marked her 56yrs.

I also harvested three fruits only,because am also experimenting to compare sizes of darina,the local variety,999.and will also try murano 2f1, marketmore soon. from their we know the best variety for large scale production.
