I was having a chat with this lady who was so excited for being able to attain a maximum speed of 60 kph (kilometres per hour) on the highway. I could not hold back my laughter as she almost fainted when I told her I attained a maximum speed of 200 kph back in the days.

I also showed her this video shot from a friend who turbo-ed his 2013 Benz ML to 220 kph. I am sure some of us must have exceeded this speed.

I have done 200km/hour with my 2015 Toyota corolla late last year at Kwali road along Lokoja -Abuja Express road....
Also in July 2005 with my Opel Vectra 1998 Model I did 180km/hour along Lagos-Ibadan Express road.

But this days you can hardly do 70km/hour due to bad situation of our roads.

When fuel price was good, I do 180-200KM/H, But now, 120-140 is the real deal..
The current car I drive the speed limiter kicks in around anything above 140KM/H.. They set the limiter with forecast.

140 v6 engine.... I think I can't beat that again...

How do you manage to gain such speeds in such tall, slim, short wheel base SUVs?
I can't do a 100km/h with complete mind in an RX300 cos I fear it may roll over due to its build.

But I don't clock 180km/hr always.
I once tried clicking 140mph and next moment my heart skipped (I wonder why)
Most times I like the feel of the RAV4's quick take off when you rev it high

2003 lexus es300 180km/hr,i never knew i have gotten to that speed not until i couldn't find the car i was racing(2008 ford edge) with coming from my mirrors,i immedately reduced the speed.
I don't think it is possible to get to 220km/hr with RX 330 or 300,you need to fix your speedometer its not working well.

Help explain.....I finished the speedometer and the engine knocked in the process.

One very easy feat to achieve in that SUV.

Was going to d east from Lagos in mid june wt my newly cleared C300.
Ol boy,I reached Ore where d road is good and wide,next thing I noticed was that it looked like I was practically flying but d speedometer was at 140.It didn't help too that I wound all up and was using d A/C.
It was after a time it occurred to me that d speedometer was in m/h and not k/h and it didn't help that all d cars I'd used b4 were calibrated in KMs.
No be person tell me to 'reduce' leg for throttle.

my speed limit doesn't exceed 120km/hr or 140 when there's an emergency. but i've done 160 on one occasion and sworn never to try it again..

even my babe say i dey drive like ol' papa..

speed kills, 80 mph. why can cars run faster than speee limits in most countries?. cars shud have maximum speed of like 60-80 mph. accidents will reduce drastically
