Done 220km/h with Audi A5 and 250km/h with GL500 4matic. Not in Nigeria sha and these cars are almost brand new. With the GL500 you won't feel the speed you only see cars go behind you as if they are driving on reverse. That car is monster.

My highest speed is 160KPH on Abuja-Airport Expressway and this was done in the night (1AM midght) with my Camry 2003 (Big for Nothing). I respect myself and stick to 120kph on a normal day.

Same thing happened to me. I was driving from ph to lagos, Left home by 6 am and by 8:30 am I was leaving Benin. All the while, I never knew I was on 160 km/hr. I was looking at the upper reading of the speedometer which was in mi/hr. I only noticed that as soon as I take on the car in front of me I dust it then take on another. All the while the A/c was on.

I only notice the speedometer when I stopped by Uniben gate to buy something. E sweet sha, but as soon as I discovered, I just couldn't exceed 100 again.

Now I understand how I left bonny by 9am, got home around 12pm, pick the car and head to Owerri. Spent about 2 hrs in Owerri and by 4pm I was back home and I still went back to bonny same day.

I love Hondas. With just like #2000 fuel o. That was before the price hike.

I have clocked 100mph which is about 160km/hr for just about 30 secs, before I reasoned to myself that 'if I die now,how would i/people explain it, shey na euphoria ni abi joy or wetin exactly dey chase am'
So I just removed my leg from the accelerator for the car to return back to its 100-120kph speed.
That was ibadan-lagos express road just after that sagamu interchange, the road there is super smooth and wide. A nissan altima i4 with 2.5 litre engine.

I was following a Benz C320 from Abuja to Ibadan Last Month and i was in Camry 1999 model. I was on 180 -200 km most time and the guy, i dont know what he doing but i never seems to be able to catch up with him at all and i start wondering if he is conscious of the road at all.

130M/hr (approx 230km/hr) on 3MB at 12:30am about three months ago. am not proud cos I for die that day. oh by the way in a 2008 corolla

Not necessarily a lie, boys clock 298Km/h in 1000cc bikes on naija roads. I once maxed out my '06 Yamaha R6s at 256Km/h along koko road @ Oghara sometime in 2010.

Got to Benin from Ore in less than 45mins...

The only ride that will give me better satisfaction is the Mercedes Benz.

That RX300 1M-ZFE were notorious for knock sensor malfunctions, when they have such problems, their ECU goes into limp mode and disables the overdrive gear. You're throttling hard will make the engine over work the 3rd gear and this will in turn make the engine to redline and destroy the engine.

Why would I lie about it? That it is a light car does not mean that it can't go that fast. Even on a recent trip to the East, I was averaging 160km/h - 180km/h with the same vehicle. Whether I felt comfortable with the car at such speeds is a different matter entirely.

Yeah, I'm that slow and steady old lady that every one honks for, screams at but I never budge. My AC on, music blasting, slow pace steady and I no send you face super tight.

No doubt. Pot-holes act as natural speed breakers anyway. Speeding on such roads will only hand you a hefty repair bill or worse.

Seun, can the injustice meted out to this chap, be addressed. This blatant favoritism was why I stopped creating threads back when Mukina2 was a supermod. You would create a thread, and almost beg the mod to take it to FP and he or she would ignore. You log-in few days or weeks later and see a similar thread on the front page just because it's creators have the ear of the Super Moderator. Till now I have not gotten over it.

The maximum I attained was 207km/h in my 2007 Mercedes Benz C280 4MATIC. It was along Ilorin ogbomosho expressway in June this year.
Its the smoothest road I've known that still exists for over 10 years.

But trust me, I burned 15 litres of my tank for 40km, which would normally take me from Lagos to Ibadan with AC at an average speed of 80km/h

And the only tokunbo tyre I had got twisted after the whole adventure which cost me another 35k to change!

Correct ninjas wey don drive for better road.....dt road sweet die but not as sweet as the new road construction going on along Lagos - Ogun state expressway....when I got to that road for the first time this past August, I was in awe.....abeg, dt road remains the best in naija for me, over smooth dey worry am, I wish all naija roads can be like that.
Maybe that is how roads are in developed countries.
