This looks good dear.

Not to worry... they should over turn their decision.

Just stay positive, be prayerful and send in the rest of the documents soon as you have them (you might not need to eventually)

Thanks Hun,

I am hoping to send off this weekend and once I do, I will hope for the best and leave it in God's hands. I am now working on the appeal statement, dealing with each concern of the ECO at a time. if You have any additional advise, I would appreciate it.

Hello good evening
Have been following this naira land for over 3 months now and am planning to put my application in for spouse visa sometime next year but am just trying to clarify something before then. This is about the £18,600 for spouse application and £22,400 when you have a dependant child does this apply to a British dependant as well or just a dependant in Nigeria only. Can someone pls help.

Even if the child is coming from Nigeria, if he has a British passport, it's still £18,600. Go to uk.gov website and read up.

I know this. But I was under the assumption the person meant a child with a Nigeria passport not a British child who is residing in Nigeria and returning to UK. The child wouldn't even need to be a part of the application if they have a British passport. wink

Hi Immigration Gurus,

Although I have posted on here before, I just need some advice/encouragement re my application which I intend to submit next week.

I arrived in the UK in 2003 when I was 15.

When I turned 16, I received a NI card in the post.

I started working when I was 16 using it and my college ID and TFL photocard.

However when I turned 19/20 I started working with bootleg ID but original National Insurance.

I'm just going through the application form and there is a section where it asks if I have ever been issued with a NI number. I'm obviously going to answer yes.
My concerns are:

1) will them seeing that I'd been working be a ground for refusal?

2) in the additional info section do I explain how I got it

3) do I need to say I'd been working illegally or just leave it since they didn't ask?

Ps: did voluntary return last year and now married to a British citizen, been together for over 6 years.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for a decision.

You have to declare everything, there's no point hiding anything because they will ask your sponsor all these during the interview and any lies will mean automatic refusal.
Yes, you can use the additional info section to explain

Reason why about 3 people on this thread recently bought, Air Maroc, Ethiopia Air & Turkish Airlines. Have you tried medview airlines(it's direct but Gatwick)?
NB : Buy a single ticket from Arik or Medview (Both airlines are actually not too bad).............

My hubby only gonna want a direct flight.

i'll check medview cause Gatwick is like 20mins away, so much better. Thanks

Your main bone of contention here is the Bootleg ID, the National insurance contributions would definitely flag up, once your National Insurance number is checked.
- How long did you work with the bootleg ID for?
- All previous interviews you had with the UKBA while in the UK, did you tell porkies about your work status?
- Where you receiving any state handouts, while engaged in any form of employment(s)?
Etc etc etc. And all other soul searching questions?
Why I ask is simply because, people ask half baked questions and retain key elements of their questions. If half baked questions are asked and you apply the answers to full baked issues, the answer to your application is inevitable..............
