He works and has his own business in Nigeria. Without my input he will be able to sponsor himself

Then go for visiting visa.

I honestly respect those living thousands away from their loved ones, I can't do it.

Give visiting visa a go and see how it pans out

Gurus in the house, I need you candid advice.

I tried to defer my admission to Sept 2017 but was told I have to start all over again, meanwhile my TRV is still in view.
What can I do? Should I apply again and forward the new offer letter to Canadian embassy and how do I go about it.

Thanks y'all. Jahbless!!!

Pls check back at the various options proffered.... it's looking more like a visiting TRV would most suit your purpose..... since the immigration law allows you to change status whilst in canada. Think through...ok!

Boss.. i am as confused as scared... did they bring the visa to the person at home auto ni or how did it happen?
There must have been a process already before you talk about securing a visa!
I am sure a lot of us must have read your query but lost at how best to answer...
Meanwhile, there's really no VO on this thread to ascertain that unless you want to go to canadian high commission at anifowose in Victoria Island.
Regards

Thanks for responding.

Good evening everyone, i would be submitting my application at the embassy before the month end but my sponsor is my uncle although not bearing the same surname. What really are my chances? And does it really take 15weeks to process? Expecting a reply. Thanks

What programme are u going for (PGC/PGD, Undergraduate, Masters or Ph.d)?

Pay your school fees first and include the receipt in ur application.

Let your sponsor provide an affidavit of support sworn before a Notary Public.

Remember to add your parents or your personal assets i.e land documents.

Then include your birth certificate.

Mine took 11 weeks and 4 days.
But always bear that 15 weeks in mind.

You need to write a good letter of support as well as affidavit of support. You should work on proving the relationship between you and your sponsor.

Are u applying for winter term?

I wish you all the best.

Thank you. Important your sponsor include an affidavit of support as affidavit anywhere is legally binding. Make sure you prove your relationship with him using birth certificates and marriage certificate. Put forward a detailed SOP clarifying on ur purpose of visit. Include your assets, Plus including your tuition receipt. Hope your PGD course is related with your previous degree and current employment?

Even if he is a fresher, adding land documents is still an advantage Bro. There is no harm adding the assets, just to satisfy them well and their requirements.

bro read to understand. i never went against adding the parents land documents. but still even if you have a low statement of account of N1million and haven't paid any school fees and added a land document of N100million,bro the VO is likely in 85% to refuse you on insufficient funds.in essence to me(personally)it is just to satisfy canada visa requirement which most have got VISA without one as long as they have sound statement of account.

still a young fresher does not need land docs, even if it is satisfying requirement as you proclaimed,a younger applicant doesn't need anything land to satisfy PERSONAL ASSSETS/FINANCE, his/her personal SOA is enough!

Use that to list schools offering your program. Check their website for requirements and fees to narrow your interested school to 3-5. Shalom!
