Waoh!!! He's been on this for so long. People just didn't come out to complain. Phewww. Silence doesn't pay at times, who knows how many more people are out there that he rendered unsatisfactory service to. This is a shame!

Easy come easy go, anyone that works hard to earn money would be careful enough in dispensing the money. Cityhood has not been sincere enough and the buyer was gullible and stupid enough to have sent money to a fellow u never ascertain his integrity. Some auto dealers are pure 419 and one has to be careful.
This is a lesson to everyone.
Why this stupid and senseless insinuation bro? Where in this world is getting money easy? The man called cityhood is one whose relationship with truth and honesty is 100% parallel.

And again stop assuming I'm gullible, the most valuable assets in my possession were bought from sane websites. In fact, I have once received a 95% up-front payment for networking an Estate far away portharcourt without any physical negotiation, someone recommended my service and that was it.

Ask any IT guy around you, they do most shopping based on reviews (irrespective of online or offline). The reviews here was what misled me. But then, some of my audio conversation with cityhood is recorded, same as other means of communication and would come in handy in future.

Or do you know what can prompt a military officer leave Abuja all the way to zaira for this meager transaction? Cityhood has mastered the act of scamming and convincingly lied to the panel of military officer and military police personnel that I was over-joyed with the vehicle, enjoyed it for months and only begged him to help me sale it so I can upgrade to a direct toks Lexus 350.

When they probed him further, he said - there was no agreement written, that I was just lying. That the vehicle can stay as much as possible in his care until it's sold and that I was even supposed to pay him for using his car stand to market my property.

Enough of the stories already, I moved on because I wouldn't want all of us to dwell on this for so long. Other options will not provide a quick solution and patient dialogue never did.

So what would you have done next, my never gullible friend?

I don't like to say this but the first car I ever bought was via online (mobofree.com). The guy sweeth-mouthed me into trusting him to send him full payment plus delivery fee before seeing/inspecting the car. Foolish as I was, I didn't notice any fault because everything was working perfectly, until the first day I drove it to work and it started jerking and smoking on 3rd Mainland Bridge. Towed it to Ikoyi where I found a mechanic. He told me the engine number did not match with the one shown in the vehicle license. It had been replaced with a dying engine and was tuned higher than normal to enable it carry the AC. Faulty fan belt, leaking radiator, damaged ABS and the wiring work was badly done with too many sellotapes and patches.
Mehn!!
I paid almost half the purchase price to fix this wahala and last last it was stolen in another mechanic's workshop. I just accepted my fate as a loser and didn't even bother to look for it.
Honda Bulldog it was. Thunder faya Honda products cos that was the first and last. Switched to Nissan Maxima, another fuel guzzling bastard. Sold it cheap some 6/7 month later. Currently using a Solara; it's been serving me well until it started puffing black smoke recently. And I want carry am travel. God go save man o.

Truth be said, I have taken the pain of visiting cityhood once in Zaria on account of a vehicle he advertised here and I was highly disappointed. The vehicle a Honda accord 07 had multiple hidden faults. From the engine to the steering to the shocks to the breaks. Even the interior was an eyesore and yet he concealed most of those all during our conversation.

Fact is that he's not a car dealer but a sales rep
His outlet is just a mechanics shop with one or two cars parked in front.

One thing you must give to him is that he's good at taking pictures from deceptive angles.

After my experience with him, I stopped looking for cars on NL and online cos I realised how deceptive it could be. Your best bet is to buy from a car dealership in person or from someone you know willing to sell.

Trust is very important in business, it's good to always call of any business negotiation the moment you feel the trust is waned.

For me, I was a victim too. It am too busy now to open a tread on how I was given a dead 2003 highlander by citihood. I paid 1.8M to citihood to deliver a car he claimed was almost toks only to be disappointed by what he delivered. I have never read any negative news here on NL about citihood and that's why I had the trust and confidence he would deliver as promised. The mileage he claimed was 146 was way far above it. The whole electrical components were not working. Fuel pump was bad. I paid him for tracking he never did it and has refused to refund me. He registered th car wrongly without engine number. In FRSC data base, the plate no is given to a V/wagen saloon car and had expired since 2013. Well, by next week I shall bring to light my whole dealings with citihood. I don't regret ever dealing with him but I want others to learn from me. I had trust on him but he disappointed.

Please do

Hmmnn

I almost entrusted my money into his care!

When I noticed the inconsistencies in the pix below I decided not to go ahead with the transaction.

The pictures posted on NL were the present state of the used car but when I started asking questions, he now sent another sets of pictures, but these ones, were when the car was Tokunbo.

I pointed him to the differences in the pix but instead of apologizing and withdrawing the new set of pix, he resulted into "bone face". Of course I won't fall for that. At that point I felt something was fishy about the guy and decided not to remit money for a car I love to buy from him.

Yes here I am..
I have read all through what he as said...

As they say good name is better than..............

You what we don't know is that. He only copied the one that he knows he will use against cityhood but he never typed that. He did not top up the gear oil... or others..

I am not here to defend myself nor deny anything.....
And again I never collect money from this buyer and ran away without delivring his or her car to there destination

A car is just like a machine that can disappoint anytime.. since it not a spirit..........
Even tokunbo cars do get spoils. Even before handing over the car to the buyer that it's even the dealer that will use his money to fix the issue on it.

Since he as started it no problem......

Yes anybody has the full right to say anything as no one is perfect if cityhood is not sure he will not tell him to open a page for our transaction on nairaland.

Number one I never even chat with this person today so I don't knw were he got our chat of today from

Now he made mention about police stoppin him
Yes that was true the police called me and they said I should explain what happen why the engine number not there and I told them I am not the one who typed that but it must be a mistake from them internal revenue. Then the police now said that H is a yahoo boy! That do I know about that I said no we only met on net and am the one tha sold the car to him.

The area he said I said he should give the police money was when they said they will detain him and the car because he was so rude. An I called this buyer to beged them because they are doing there job and settle the matter in a mature way with them.

I know it painful that what he bought is a little bit sad because of the mechanical issues on it. .
But all I want people who know much about to understand is that car don't have 100percent gurranty it's a machine and it can messup anytim

It's unfortunate that trust is becoming more scarce in our society today. I use to have great respect for that moniker Cityhood on this auto section hoping that one day I will strike a deal with him.

That does not mean we are not to trust. I have been doing business with someone that advertised a business in business/investment section here since 2013 without issues. we have not met before we just communicate through bbm and calls. I send him the money and he sends my goods after discussing what I want and sometimes when it doesn't go as I want he will look for ways to make amends.

As for some of us saying the banning would not cost him anything, that's not true. I see lots of his advert post on the front page of auto-section if he is not ban others may still fall victim to the same kind of issue.

For those asking why the op brought the issue here instead of going to the police, I will say 1. the transaction started from nairaland here. 2. According to him he did it to prevent other Nairalanders from falling for cityhood. 3. He has tried other civil ways of resolving it to no avail. I believe he saving Police and Litigation option for the last.

For those arguing that he can change moniker, fine..! He should then go ahead and change his real name, real house address/location, his face and that of his wife or girlfriend because it has all been displayed here already. His phone no is here. we should alsoremember too that Account No's now have BVN and the one attached to that his account alone could be used to fish him out when its time. I believe op just intended to resolve this issue quietly but Oga cityhood did not yield.

Another thing is that because he is into this kind of shady business over the years, he would have made friends with some security personnel that are beating drum for him but he is forgetting that when people decide to handle his matter the personnel or agents that would pick him may not be from his vicinity.

And what exactly is that going to solve? All he'd lose is his Nairaland account. Big deal! Having a Nairaland account isn't an achievement. Only God knows what other forums he's using to scam people.

Op has lost millions of Naira. Deleting cityhood's nairaland account doesn't solve a damn thing.

You're posing as a nuisance on the thread and it's awfully annoying. I really don't understand where you're driving at with this.

This is really. I can't believe it's the same Cityhood I recommended to a colleague just because I see his posts and aggressive campaign everywhere. My said colleague has been excited a while and I believe they've been communicating back and forth. I already called him since reading the first page.

Truth is, everyone innocent until caught in the act. It's quite strange that he didn't address the issues raised by the OP, rather sought to calling him a small boy. You didn't question his size before the deal was consummated, now you're doing so having sold a box on wheels. I read on a thread where he was boasting of what he is not and it only goes on to show that you not only lie a lot but also would deceive just about anyone. Someone claimed he is a middleman and might have been lied to himself. Well, this post says a whole lot contrary.
cityhood:

I am not a middleman

There are still business that can join us together in future

If you think am not real plz just come and see

I can post here the pics of all my personal business pics for you to see
My friend
If he isn't an agent, then he prolly knew everything about that car but chose to cash in on it. Reputation and integrity all flushed down the drain over nothing. Truth is, I'm still a bit in shock. However, Cityhood, I'd plead with you to find a way of compensating the OP. You should have done this and could have prevented this from coming to the forum. This will not just cause people to be mindful of you but send a rippling effect towards your colleagues in the section. The stories are just too much against you, and while you might not be able to atone for all, I'd suggest you resolve this last one. You might be a middleman or not, as stated in your post, but the key thing to succeeding when it comes to business is trust and integrity. I just hope you correct this so that you won't join the long list of once upon a time trusted sellers on here.

Then I'm afraid he is about to go the way the likes of inspiredm and chucky234 went. Cityhood, one week is not too long for you to get your client his money back. By 2nd January 2017, if you've not refunded him, your accounts and posts will be taken down. I wouldn't want to do this but you will leave me with no option

@d33types and @dominique your intervention here is welcome. However, rather than delete his Account and post I will suggest that you rather consider putting up a query in all his posts and the Account. This is for the following reasons

A. It serves as a way of giving fair hearing to the person.
B. It serves as a future reference to others as a simple search of the person on nairaland or Google search will reveal it.
C. The comments/posts taken down may actually be required by a victim(s) to prove the antecedents of an allegation.
