Good Q1 result will solve Oando backwardness which is very likely.
When the road was clear, oando projected the settlement of their debt around 2019, when the price of oil was still above #100, what of now the price of crude oil is below #60, with huge debt and some banks on their neck for their money.

January is usually the time of pump and dump.

It's a time some Stocks trader make money, while some loose .

As we anticipate end of year report of different companies / dividend declaration, price will rally, if your companies report goes above expectation joy will be your visitor, but if it goes below expectation sorry will be your next door neighbour.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Chibuking81(m): 5:13pm On Jan 10, 2017
Some Stocks will still go down this week/ early next week.
Toward the end part of next week and more especially the end part of this month we shall be seeing rarry in some stocks due to financial report that will come out early, but many companies will record loss.
So let be careful.

Increase in PAT will drive the price of Oando and reduction in their debt will add value too.All the companies owes money but ability to service the fund is what count.Lets all wait and see.

STANBIC is not a responsible bank. How do you justify restriction of USD account to 7,500Monthly when I am the one sourcing for the dollar.I will close my accounts with them slowly.

Oando will follow among the companies that will not give even .05 kobo as a dividend. But as usual forward looking statement, will that alone puch their stock price forward.

You can't restrict the forex that I sourced by myself because it has nothing to do with CBN directive.Only CBN can do that and there is no sense in that. All the banks follows due process as laid down by CBN.Its questionable and I don't know why they have the gut to be doing that. You can't use their card anymore and now they are restricting access to your own USD.No need to query an organization that defies logic but just to dump them and ask your loved ones to do the same.Lets leave their inefficiencies and concentrate on market.

I said it several times, too much regulations and over-policies is killing this economy. Government wants to controlled everything. Until we stop operating a closed-economy policy, we ain't going to nowhere. They controlled foreign exchange market, they controlled how much you can save, they controlled how you can import/export your goods/services, etc. And we are talking about coming out of recessionshuh They should continue...

Capital raising

The primary market promises to be busy in the year, although supplementary issues have mainly been a refunding of the companies by existing shareholders rather than issuance of new shares to new investors. Guinness Nigeria Plc plans to raise about N40 billion from its shareholders through a rights issue that may provide window for its parent company to increase controlling shareholding. Shareholders are expected to meet later this month to ratify the plan. Livestock Feeds Plc has also received approvals to raise about N1.1 billion new equity funds from its shareholders. Livestock Feeds plans to undertake a rights issue of 1.0 billion ordinary shares of 50 kobo each at a price of N1.10 per share. Union Bank of Nigeria (UBN) Plc also plans to raise N50 billion new equity funds from existing shareholders of the bank

Is this Livestock feeds story correct?

Trend are not made in a day , price can be guide and also a distraction

NSE Index
RSI made a double TOP , unable to break into over sold level
RSI making another move towards 50
If it breaks 50 , not good
if it holds above 50 , still fair

Note: The index is skewed to big caps

Other stocks one should watch out this year are those stocks with small free float eg........wapic,sterling bank, diamond bank,ccnn,oando.........whenever they are on demand, the price movement no get part2.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 12:09pm On Jan 11, 2017
FO market marker is bad.Stock is ready to move but he purposely decelerate the upward movement so that some impatient monkeys can keep selling to him at low price since he already knew result will change the status of the stock. There is need to cautious in this market and think deeply before sentimentally selling off your stock.
