When Zlatan went on a goal drought, we succeeded in winning only one match out of six, thats very bad... it cant continue like this .. Look at a scenario where we qualify for Champs league, get merged with Madrid, then Ronaldo gets injured, do you think Madrid fans will be scared about losing to us , No way!, they still have Bale, Benzema, James and Co to rely on.. But turn the situation around, if Ibra gets injured, i bet you know how its gonna go down .. i still believe PSG wont have beaten Barca if Ibra was in that squad ( No hating on him though)

How will the guy who the coach and the staff see in training from monday to saturday and who still goes into the team and posts such stats and delivers be hindering the progress of all those who are younger and faster than him who are also given the same chance to impress in training but who hardly deliver when they are called upon on match days? See blackburn match for instance.....was it zlatan and pogba that caused them to play crap until they both came in to save the game? I used to be one of those who disliked Ibrahimovic based purely on some of his wayward passes, lost possession or missed chances. But then i had to revisit virtually all the highlights of our matches this season to understand how wasteful the rest have been. Ibrahimovic does everything for this team. When they seem to be playing their cautious midfield passing game, this guy drops deep to help them move forward and will still be there to finish off. Only one person. If our mentally weak players could have the champion mindset Ibrahimovic has, he won't even be stressing himself too much like this. When you are a lion and you work with sheeps, this is the result.

Zlatan has done well this season but when the end will come for him it will be sudden so we should not assume that he will maintain this level next season. If he does let it be a bonus rather than a necessity.
As per Cavani his numbers have actually dramatically improved. His league goals per game average has doubled and in early March he has already scored 7 more goals than he ever scored in an entire Ligure 1 season.

He has always surpassed the 20 goal mark anyway so the extra goals might be as a result of more starts and games as the sole striker instead of as a result of zlatan reducing his impact as some have claimed! He has always been wasteful and zlatan gave him quite a few assists too!

What with the players surrounding him, he'll struggle to score goals.

We need wingers and midfielders who can score goals as well as create assists, although I agree Zlat shouldn't play 90 min every time.

Chelsea is topping the table because Pedro, Hazard and others didn't choose to sit on their hands. They score goals. If they had relied only on Costa to score for them they wouldn't make the top 4.

The solution isn't always to buy a striker. The solution is to get everybody scoring goals. And if a player that should be scoring goals isn't doing so, we can bring in someone who plays his position and scores goals.

Now answer this question- will we still be in the 6th position if other players stepped up during Zlat's drought and scored goals?

The problem is not Zlat not scoring goals, the problem is others are not- he's the only one scoring goals. If one of Martial, Pogba, Mata, Mhiki or Herrera scores once in every game how will things be?

Now remove the bad-belle clothing blocking your eyes and think like a Man Utd fan

Just like you said if Ronaldo gets injured they have benzema, bale, James, and co. We can also have grizeman, rashford and any other striker, if zlatan is injured. My concern is that zlatans games MUST be limited, he should be an option for us.



I agree him not being first choice is the issue, but this is man u and he will learn to not be first choice. Na mourinho suppose reduce his playing time.

If mourinho get sense we will avoid the Rooney conundrum where Moyes and lvg felt he must play. We all saw where it got them.

He scored 31 playing next to Ibra too! Check the seasons! And knowing cavani, don't be surprised if he is stuck on those 36 goals till September! Or don't you watch him in their champions league games? He is a talented waste pipe!

31 was the highest he ever got to in 3 seasons playing alongside Zlatan.. and he reached such feat only once... Now despite his natural wastefulness he has been able to surpass that in his first season as the CF, doesn't that tell you something
