Thanks bros, but I won't try horror. I want to have a good night sleep, I am very imaginative, I will just be seeing scary faces before closing my eyes.
I pity those reading romance books to know what make their babes tick o, believe me what they write in those novels are not really what make many females tick, we are different, and different tactics for different females.

Lol. Some people love morbid stories, I don't either. Mills and Boons were the in thing during my secondary school days though. cheesy

Thanks, same to you. I didn't talk because I didn't want to hurt your feelings. I didn't like the song, it was too loud and instrumental for me and he kept repeating the same thing, it was torture listening through the whole song.

Hurt feelings ke.. Not at all, i like sincerity. Yeah, you're kinda right with the instrumental, its the message that i liked. Listen to this music and see if you will like it, then i will tell you the story behind it then you might well, well....

That is Hamza El din, from Nubia. Nubia is in Southern Egypt/Northern Sudan. The Aswan dam was built to connect the Suez canal and provide irrigation, electricity etc. This expansion destroyed Nubia and they had to relocate Hamza's village, all its history, people, culture etc and as you can guess nothing was ever the same again. So, that song was Hamza reminding his friend of how their village, livelihood, youth etc was prior to the Aswan dam. So, Yes you will not hear or understand what was said but you can relate to the sighs, the lament and the tone of the song. This will revolutionize the way you listen to music. Case in point, Hamza is popular in the West and they cant even understand his song but they can relate to it. Enjoy.

I listened to every word he was saying. I usually see it as insult to the writer not to concentrate on a movie, novel or song even if I find any boring because they put their time into it.

Smile. My dad does this kind of thing. He watched all of 'Opomulero' movies with us telling us the literary relevance of each character. Who is representing who if it relates to Nigerian history. Maybe if I knew this before listening to the song I might be impressed but I guess it is just not my kind of music.

I don't have a specific genre. Just any music that is not loud or without instrumental at all. I'm not good at memorizing songs. I just know the chorus. In Nigeria beautiful nubia, shola allyson. Outside Nigeria: Nasheed mostly, westlife, and lots of others that I don't even know their names. Mind you, I listen once in a while.
