Hand-waving is an idiomatic metaphor, derived in part from the use of excessive gesticulation , perceived as unproductive, distracting or nervous, in communication or other effort. [citation needed] The term also evokes the
sleight-of-hand distraction techniques of stage magic , [2] and suggests that the speaker or writer seems to believe that if they, figuratively speaking, simply wave their hands, no one will notice or speak up about the holes in the reasoning. [2] This implication of misleading intent has been reinforced by the pop-culture influence of the Star Wars franchise, in which mystically powerful hand-waving is fictionally used for mind control, and some uses of the term in public discourse are explicit Star Wars references. Picture frame, it'd have to be those paper ones. This idea will require us bringing a frame and a baby picture or so.
It can be in line too.
But what's the older version of a picture frame?
davide470:
So there can be team work like this on this platform? grin

Anyways, have you guys thought about a Picture Frame??

It holds dreams, aspirations, words, pictures..et al.

It falls under : Crinkle, Crisp and Clear too.

Oya, discuss!

Share openly or forget it, two years ago a guy went for the interview without taking what they asked them to bring and still pass, interview performance counts a lot more than bringing what they asked for even if it's buhari head...

I think am gon start working towards this...... grin grin ....cos D's riddle ehn sad

Guys..... lets not over think this, in every riddle the answer is always right in front of you. Think of the answer we have given so far that meets at least 95% of the description. An album is not as thin as a newspaper, a diary too, cd cannot be rumpuled, infact if it cannot be squeezed its not the answer.
Meanwhile, i wonder what the interview for accounting and audit will be like, probably the reporting standards, auditing standards, book keeping, tax questions.... i hope.... share your thoughts please

Guy, its probably going to be a case study scenario... just imagine a Mckinsey styled case study but this time around on an accounting issue...(maybe not in the interview but later on)..... and guy go and learn the accounting standards particular to the Nigerian petroleum industry plus do a little bit of reading on Tax polices affecting the Pet industry

Which of the images? Or are they the same?

Tee2014:
Well to the folks accusing me of not being a team player, this is for all of you. As tasking as it it is, i hope it helps us all in our job search.

Its a MAGNETIC TAPE, It is Thin and colorful(When exposed to light - a wide spectra of colors) What most of you used Kerosene to clean back in the days.

It held the thoughts of yesterday and today at that time, Magnetic tape revolutionized broadcast and recording.

It was used to playback video and audio(Multi Purpose) - It is Of pictures, of speeches, of words with lasting laughter

It was a key technology in early computer development, allowing unparalleled amounts of data to be mechanically created, stored for long periods, and to be rapidly accessed -That stays the same time and time again.

You can't destroy the data on it by just waving your hand over it, because of the fact that the magnetic side of most tapes is made of an oxide of iron, it only gets damaged by deterioration caused by hydrolysis of the binder of the tape - The wave of hand never destroying.

Lastly it can be crinkled(without damaging the content), it is crisp and it is clear.

Now the older version of the MAGNETIC TAPE after analyzing plenty history books are "GRAMOPHONE RECORDS" Which is also known as "Vinyl Records"

So go with two copies of that on your interview day.

I wish us all, at this interview stage, the best.

I would have said a 'CD' and older version being a cassette.

But then again CD and crinkle dont go together.

And even magnetic tape may come in different colour covers, maybe that 'colourful' part is just a distraction.

While you guys are racking your heads, don't forget that the real deal which is the interview requires Preparation too.

Someone was saying GAAP candidates should start revising petroleum tax laws, auditing standards, Reporting standards and the likes. do you know how many standards and laws you are talking about? Lwkmd, kukuma kill us nah. I think if they would go into your area of specialty, it'll be basic GAAP and concepts, few arithmetics and probably a little finance related questions.

All 41 reporting standards + 16 new reporting standards..... highest they may ask you to explain the ones you are familiar with, in this case am very familiar with a handful. I wont be specifically for petroleum industry. I think it will involve the concepts and principles and tax questions and audit.... and a case study in accounting. All the same... preparation begats confidence

Oya... see accountants, the reason why i advised folks that picked the accounting track to focus on particular accounting standard related to the energy/petroleum sector is just to sound more impressive during interviews, imagine discussing peculiarities of the exception of iAS when it comes to the petroleum industry in Nigeria where there is a local standard... you would definitely sound more knowledgeable than the Brilliant guy who Knows all the IAS and cant apply his knowledge in an imaginative way....

Folks, is that the final answer to the riddle?
Re: Sahara Group Graduate Program 2017 by supertonex(m): 8:14pm On Mar 11, 2017
If we say it's magnetic tape or gramophone or gramaphine grin
The thing is what's the olderolder version of the said "magnetic tape"
Because CDwon't crinkle if we're saying the answer is CD which makes magnetic tape the answer.
I hope we get?
