Leke Baiyewu, Abuja

The Comptroller General , Nigeria Customs Service , Col . Hameed Ali ( retd . ), has told the Senate that he would not appear before the lawmakers on Wednesday as it coincided with the routine management of the NCS .

The Customs boss asked the upper chamber of the National Assembly fix another date for his appearance .

Ali’ s letter was read to lawmakers at the plenary on Tuesday.

The letter was signed by an Assistant Comptroller General .

The lawmakers condemned Ali for relegating the Senate and for failing to personally sign the letter.

Why should he be removed? He is only doing his job and has no time to stroke the ego of the noise makers. The house was created for the people, not the people for the house. The dishonourable members have made the house dishonourable. They are not qualified to order anybody. So, say what you may, he has called their bluff!
Infact, as a citizien, I order the senate to publish its budget in line with the code of conduct and freedom of information act. Look at them, they are now alive when it comes to uniform. But it was under their watch the former customs boss milked the country dry with impunity!

This man is being victimised because the Senate Commitee on Customs (juicy commitee) can no longer make money from Customs. All this talk about uniform is to intimidate him to resign so their man can be appointed

Since this buffon was appointed CG of NCS he has always been in the news for the wrong reasons either making obnoxious and unguarded policies or spewing gibberish. Well, i don't blame him; i blame that old, incompetent bubu that nominated him. That also serves the senate right, when next they want to confirm any fuul they will be more cautious and thorough about it. Meanwhile still watching the show as it unfolds
