Congratulations man!

My interview is next week. God's grace man.

superheavy:
hellllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo my people

I have been following this thread I think for the last three weeks.

visa approved yesterday at Walter Carrington!!! (7:00am batch) o boy see line like wall of China

Lemme just say what I feel about this US thingy is that it is GRACE and nothing else. In front of me was a family of 6 that were denied. (64,000 x 6)...not moin moin ooooooo

transcript!

VO was an advanced caucasian woman on the extreme right.

VO: with a huge grin on her face seeing a very small boy hahahah... ( I small sha)

VO: good morning, how are you and your parents?

ME: good morning ma'am...they are pretty well and how was your night?

VO: awesome!

VO: how did you find out about this program? (still with a large smile on her face)

ME: my lecturers in uni told me about this exchange programme nonetheless top shots in the culinary industry... (VO cuts in)

VO: I see you like flipping burgers and serving some pepsi

(in my mind: aunty this is not the issue now, oya do the correct thing...devil just whispered to me: you see that stack of fresh blue papers...lmao)

VO: what do your parents do?

ME: my mum is a bla bla bla and my dad is a bla bla bla bla bla bla

VO: *puts passport inside tray* and says " boy you didn't sign this part of your form...do you mind using my pen" ?

ME: absolutely

VO: okay so pick up your passport at this place and keep this form cos you'd need it at the point of entry

VO: enjoy the US and greet your parents.

ME: thank you ma'am... "runs out fist pumping in the air"

from my experience yesterday I discovered that the tall caucasian guy in the middle that always has a cup of coffee and that plump chinese dude that doesn't smile are the tough ones. The young lady at the extreme left is also very patient. okay, thanks bye.

PS: I appreciate everyone for their transcripts cos it really helped me prepare but I was never asked too much. If you want approval then be like me...have a baby face, be partially blind (use glasses) and be small...hahahaha...all the best to future applicants.

if you can do away with your phone, please drop it at home... because you wont be allowed to take it in, and those hustlers outside the embassy, they are ready to suck you dry. Just go with you transparent folder, containing your documents.

Hello everyone good day. plz I'm curious. I have a scholarship from a university in USA, its private and worth $20000 and the tuition is $49000, I already received my I20, can I go ahead with applying for visa with this school?

And it seems like this thread is only for masters and PhD.. undergraduates are not posting transcripts. Thanks

1: I am.
2: You can apply with your baby provided you have sufficient funds that will cater for you both.
3: Being married or not is not a reason for a delayed visa or successful. The questions come from different angles and your responses should be direct and explicit. Gurus in the house can shed more light on this. Just go through the transcripts here like I'm doing and God will see you through.

All the best. smiley

You guys and ladies are awesome.
Thanks for this wonderful thread.
Please,any1 attending Newmexico highland uni?
And is it ok to apply with my baby (1year 3months)?
I also noticed from the published transcript..that d visa officers always ask d ques the ques "Are u married"...is being married a red flag?
Thank you

If you are looking at Computer Science grad program especially
PhD, please consider Kansas State University. It is ranked 90 on the usnews ranking
and is a top program in the United States. The department is very good with excellent
facilities, faculty and opportunities (funding). The strengths are in the area of Cybersecurity,
Machine Learning, high Performance Computing, Software Specification and Analysis research.
If your GPA is around 4/5 and you have a GRE score around 315, you stand a very good chance.
The Nigerian family here is going to be 3 this fall and it is exciting to see the place becoming more diverse.
Good luck to the prospective graduate students. smiley

PS: By the way, all the talk about work experience or research experience is mostly crap talk.
What you need to succeed is your hunger and attitude. No one really has it figured out. If anyone
does, then it is useless work and not good research. If you have a healthy work ethic and work hard,
your limits are just mere fiction.

Does Kansas State University has MS Computer Science? Like i saw only PhD on their site, not sure though.

Really, that's a lot of money. It seems US universities make much from international students than the domestic students. Any domestic student that could cough out $49,000/yr without govt loans/funding must be from a rich family.

My transcript goes thus :

VO: good morning (with a smile)
Me: good morning ma'am (with a nervous smile)

VO: what will this program do for you
Me: this program will better position me to excel in my present profession, because I will be taking neccessay technical courses that will better expose me to the internal circuit architecture of electronic equipment.

VO: how many schools did you apply to
Me: 3schools

VO: why this school
Me: I choose Illinois institute of tech because it offers a major concentration in control systems engrn and this aspect of technology aligns with my professional ambition.

VO: are you married
Me: No (with a sexy smile)

VO: who would be paying for this
Me: my father

VO: what does he do
Me: he is into bla bla bla.

VO: I'll be approving your visa...... Brings out white paper and says some bla bla bla.

From my experience at the embassy today, I would strongly advise Future applicants to back up preparations with adequate prayer's. Cos alot of more prepared and intelligent dudes were denied visa today.

Just prepare and pray really hard. If it's the will of God, your visa would be approved.

Peace!

Martial Status I don't think is any Flag , red , green or white grin

Several others have been given f1 with accompanying F2 visas for their dependant ....... Today there is a transcript from a mother

The key is to demonstrate that you are a credible student , with enough resource (if asked) and not to be seen as a potential runaway immigrant
