I will keep saying this, female football is racist as hell. We just got a red card for nothing.
That tackle didn't deserve a card at all. The referee lacked oral communication skills in the game.

Most Nigerians are bundles of illogicality. Even the adjudged best players in the world are still called to the camp in preparation for a pending tournament. If preparation is overrated one wonders while countries such as Brazil, Germany, Italy, Argentine and France call up players to camp. Seriously, your plank of argument confirms the pitiable backwardness seen in Africa.

The guy that you quoted made the same point that I always make...ill preparation does not excuse that sort of play...I don't know why you are bent on defending mediocrity

I hate mediocrity instead I sue for advancement through structured process. If you know any player in Nigeria who is better than the collection of players the coaches have assembled, please name her.

It didn't even deserve a foul. If it was in the penalty box the Spanish girl should get a card. We have to somehow put a stop to this, in the last match a girl attacked our player and got away with it in any other match it was a red card, everytime there is a 50/50 ball the white girls get the call. It is like our girls are being punished for being strong and black.

Female football at world stage is like a cult of white ladies. They seem to have different set of rules when they play African teams. The ref is emboldened to dish out cards and fouls. Spain had THIRTY free kicks against Nigeria today. That is like a free kick every 3 minutes. One day soon, the refs will overshoot their boundary and expose themselves to the world.

I do not scout for players neither am I a coach. The coach had the responsibility to assemble a formidable team but he failed. Would you honestly believe that the current under 20 team is the best Nigeria can offer??

The fact that such thought could even permeate your mind, then I must say, that is very troubling.

How is that hard to believe? They lost one and won 2. If this team had got to play Japan again it would have been a different story.

We crashed out because the coach was not fast thinking against Japan. If we lost 2-0, we would have qualified for quarter finals. When things were starting to fall apart, the coach could have just done something.
I think the coach is still the best underage female football coach we have though. he brought out the best in the girls, even after the setback.

Ajibade will lead us to the next U20 world cup, and I expect that we will have a better team by then.

The coach just got his azz handed to him but i know he will learn from Japan.

They were just lucky. Spain played a better football, and I'm sure you would not dispute that fact. Canada also played better. Did you not see how terrible their passes and coordination were? In all their games they could barely complete 3 successful passes at a time.

Lies i watched both games and we were the better team. We could have beat Spain by more if not for the referee.

It will be pretty hard for them to break into this team especially for Oparanozie. Dedevbo should get alot of credit we played with a majority of his players.

Okobi is a class Act... She was awesome at the world cup but then Chikwelu has been at the top level for years.... Chikwelu is who Okobi is trying to become or surpass... #fact

Chikwelu na midfield goddess naa... Since her time with the Super Falconets during the time of Cynthia Uwak in 2006 and alongside Ogonna Chukwudi in 2008, she's gotten better and better. Years with Umea IK of Sweden that once had Marta silva no be beans naa... smiley

This team is too strong abeg.. And what a super bench we have... And yet no Umotong or Dike (due to school ish) sef... No Chukwunonye sef... What a team!!!

Okobi will produce same magic but the difference is in top-level experience and battle-hardened "out-of-nowhere" skills. Chikwelu is Okobi's boss.... smiley

We have a much bigger thread to accommodate all women football matters. Besides, the title of this present thread says, ''Falconets/Flamingoes Thread: 2016 FIFA U-20/U-17 Women's World Cup'' which means it is time bound.

Please let's just do the right thing.

Nope. Halimatu Ayinde played Okobi's position, and I believe she will make way for Okobi in the next match.

You are a typical Nigerian who tend to spout pigheadedly. You never scouted and definitely not coach material yet you claimed there were better players than ones the coach had assembled. Emptiness is actually a second nature to most Nigerians.

So because I am not a coach, I should accept that the below mediocre players who represented Nigeria at the U20 women world cup are the best Nigeria can offer??

Does someone need to be a coach to realize that there is a limitless pool of talented in Nigeria? Do you even listen to yourself when you type?
