Please and please again, these people should stop this joke before it gets too far. Yoruba will stay with hausa if Nigeria breaks.

If I catch anyone drafting an only yoruba constitution, I will charge the person with treason. grin grin cheesy

But did u see how Biafrans cleared way for them to discuss their issues the way they like, start up an intelligent discuss on Biafra now, oduo minions will be spamming the thread like we owe them. Check out what Sarki and his friends do, they don't give us chance to even deliberate before them come with beer-fraud, nnamdi kanu scam cliches and all sorts of demoralizing mocking comments.
I'll be plain. Most Biafrans are dull and hardly reason. Sadly, when a Biafran thread is created, the first five posts that follow are often derogatory remarks at the Yorubas even when they are yet to comment on such thread.

The so called deliberations you have often hit brick walls the moment an Igbo fellow who doesn't share IPOB's idea comment. You guys have come to believe that all Igbos must be aligned with Biafra and the one who fails to do must be an Ewedu sipping, Nike-marked, Brown-Roof dweller from Osogbo.

Most of the conflicts in every thread on here are derailed by your own and you know this. Show me a full page thread where Biafrans dialogued without referring to Afonja, even though Yorubas never commented. That we have so many non Igbo tribalists today is because of the many insults hurled by Biafran foot soldiers here. I wouldn't blame them though. They are only acting out what is being preached on radio.

The overriding principle must be: The smoothest possible transition. This is how, I think it should apply to the areas you have raised.

Currency is too sensitive an issue to be done immediately. A gradual phasing in of the new currency should be adopted. And you are right, this is best done in collaboration with our neighbors.

Name change can be done immediately (relatively speaking). After the constitution is written the name change should be able to go into full effect within a year or so.

This is not necessary. In fact could be counter-productive if not properly managed. Our focus should be the constitution. If it is well done and articulated, the structures would be in place to make sure that the old Nigerian mentality does not flourish in the new country.

What is most important is a progressive vision and strong-willed men and women who are fully committed to carry it to fruition.

Yes i believe in the Constitution, a well drafted one void of loopholes can go a long way. Having one is not the issue, but the individuals who will draft it.
You talked about progressive minds, but you think the political class of the "Old Republic" will simple die out. they will still be here now stuck with us, when not trying to lead they will may be pulling the strings. Who will give the progressive the chance and how can we know them??

i may sound paranoid but i Still think we need a political class rebirth.

YungMill - I dey kampe. How body? Unfortunately, Nigerians are poor historians. Even very recent history. Also, I will have you know that there would not be an Ipob IF MASSOB had not be unwilling to generously share the bribe (given by SE politicians) with Kanu.
We were joking but do you that name Aare Ona Kakaanfo is a jinxed title? I found out yesterday. I am not a superstitious guy but the pattern of disaster that followed the bearers of the title was unmistakable- the last two bearers S. L Akintola and MKO Abiola. Currently the title is vacant.

Believe what you want, go back to as early as 2012 when Biafra issue started here, go and see the scornful hating and genocide wishing remarks made my Yorubas, you think Biafra agitation started with IPOB?

Dig out threads where it was reported that Ben Onwuka and BZM member were arrested and paraded half-naked, it is easy for you to point accusing fingers at us, but u don't take into consideration how we have been denigrated in the past for discussing Biafra.

You don't know half of the story, my first moniker was created october 2010, I do not deliberate national mainstream politics, my only contributions are largely on Biafra threads, or my state issues. My brother, there is nothing we have not been called by Yorubas.
When Ezu river killings happened, nairaland was a celebration zone by Yorubas.

Let me stop here.

Just because you are paranoid does not mean you are not right. I agree with you. We have to be wary of them. We cannot completely sideline them but there are things we can do to considerably minimize their power especially when it comes to the writing of the constitution - this is were it starts. In addition, I am of the opinion that the average Yoruba is a progressive. So, it would be relatively easy for progressives to take on the mantle of leadership of the new nation.
