Good day everyone good to back on here please i would appreciate your lovely response for pals that have submiited via paper route Abuja vsf office.

please i intend doing upfront medicals by tomoro as i will be submittting my document by God's grace on tuesday or wednesday my questions

1.People that did upfront medicals in abuja what are the recommended hospitals used by cic here in abuja and whats their process like as i intend going tomorro morning please your candid advice.(very important)

2.My documents are all ready but a bit bothered i didn't feel anyting about accomdation but in the space about relatives over there i wrote my cousin bro who also schools there too.

3.About my finance document what am about to submit is just 20m shares statement of account document of my uncle with other documents from the bank as the owner of account, reference letter from bank, introductory letter from him also his , $2,000 domicillary account statement .please reply if there's any advice

As for the medicals, there are only two places u can do it in Abuja, IOM and Abuja Clinics, did mine at IOM on Thursday, and my profile changed to medical passed the next day, so I'll recommend them, their fee is 40,200...hope this helps, as for ur finances, u should write to ur school and ask for a financial quotation for the upcoming year, cic demands each applicant should have a minimum of C$10,000 for living expenses (note this is higher if you're going to Quebec) for the year, plus complete tuition, u should show u have enough to meet these requirements

applying for extension is different from applying for a fresh permit ooo

Sorry, but I believe the bone of contention here is if it's possible to apply for a study permit 'WITHIN' Canada. Someone here said it was impossible, and you'll have to go back to ur country to do that,

Good day NLs, I just registered now on NL. Please I applied late April and early May, I was sent a msg from cic demanding letter of scholarship from my school, U of Winnipeg. I initially got a part time scholarship of 8,000 CAD but this ain't enough. So I sent them a mail sent to me from the school stating another scholarship from the province but there was no official letter cos the government needs to approve it which is usually done ending of August. I know there is no visa officer but is the mail message enough or should I just withdraw my application since I would likely need my passport for another country. Wouldn't want to lose both chances. Please I need ideas thanks

Hello house i got a delay mail from CIC yesterday based on the following. I submitted on 30/May/2017 trough paper route.

1. Pursuant to Section 219 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation, I am not satisfied that
you:
A. have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.

2. You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:
A. Purpose of visit
B. Travel history

I paid my school fees for 1 year which was $3000 but i paid $5000, the receipt was included.
I submitted a bank statement of 6m from my uncle in 4 different account.
I also proved relationship
I filled my brother's address in Canada in the family form.
Intended program M.ED

I am confused presently don't know what went wrong.

sorry for the delay bro, kindly share ur full profile let's see(like ur previous program, where u work now, all documents u submitted....)

Airlines don't usually have wifi. Even devises/ mobile phones are meant to be off or flight mode activated. Only when you get to Canada airport, there should be free wifi.

With all due respect sir, thats not correct. its been on ckmmercial Airbuses and Boeings since 2015 (first i was aware of it).

@canadiannurse Sorry, i tried doing some research, seems they've not upgraded their planes to have such facilities.

Thank you all for your contributions. But really I have actually not got this right, some said it is possible why some refuted it and said contrary.

Appreciate if there is any further genuine info/prove to be sure about this.

Well I applied to only McGill and I gained admission. So I can't comment on how easy it is.

Living expense for Quebec is higher than other province
It takes at least 30 business days to get a CAQ
So if you intend to go to Quebec please start on time

NB
I applied for admission Nov 2016. Got accepted April 2017.

I don't really know much about Quebec, but I do know it's slightly more expensive to live there, I'm sure you have ur reasons u chose there in the first place, u should probably stick to ur guts.
Since you already have a masters degree why not look for phd admissions? That's more logical, and it would be easier to convince the visa officer, my advice tho..u should also wait for the real gurus to respond.

Austinpee4:

The whole body of my post already answered the line as emboldened. Anyway, this person you know probably don't have the same profile as @imoriafe. So it may not be in place to use it as a clear example.

Having worked for 4 years in the bank, any further progression will be seen from this premise. Unless there have been significant activities(research, projects, conferences and all) in botany/biological sciences from when he finished undergrad. If this isn't the case, a good question will be at what instance is this interest for this master of biology? A good answer to this is preceding activities in area of proposed program no matter how little within the 4 years since completion of undergrad study.
The banking industry i will presume would not have related activity in biological sciences.

There is actually no case of SOP here. This is a case of progression!

Since there's a difference, should I email the school again and tell them if after getting trv and study permit, Is that when I can go ahead with payment of tuition fees?

I think you should wait till you're actually asked to do so, we've seen a few cases that evidence of fee payment wasn't required

Please my gurus. I applied for my Visa on 18th may, 2017. No upfront medical. But got a mail on 5th July to go ahead for my medical which I did on 7th July, 2017. Please do I need to mail the document given to me by the Hospital to the embassy or what do I do with the document?

More so, I need your advice on request made by cic on Thursday to show evidence of school fee payment plus living expenses after indicating that I am scholarship from Nigeria with my award letter attached, plus two Co sponsor having 11 Million and 5million naira respectively in their account. Attached is the image of the request made by the cic. Kindly advice me.

Thanks.

Temporary resident means students studying presently or people on work visa or SowP.

peculiar case! Don't go and study with a visit visa ooo... No talk say I no talk am... So what's the essence of study permit then? Your friend did pgd on visit visa? Please clarify

If your course is less than 6 months, you don't need a study visa or u won't be given a study visa. A visit visa would be used instead.

Study permit is the letter authorizing you to study in any post secondary institution in Canada. It is usually given to you at the border when u arrive in Canada. TRV which means temporary resident permit or visa is the paper/design attached to your visa. The TRV is what allows u enter into Canada. This can be single entry or multiple entry. Multiple means u can travel in and out of Canada. But when u apply for visa u apply for study permit but both are usually treated and approved or denied.

The thing is you can apply online anywhere. In Canada here there is no paper application, everything is online. Which means that if you apply online in Canada and when u get to the question like where u stay etc. Then you have to fill in where u reside in which is Nigeria or anywhere u live not where you are visiting temporarily. So it means if you are on a visit in Canada or Uk but u live in Nigeria then u must put Nigeria at the question- where u reside and all. If you are a student in the Uk, then u can put Uk cause u are a legal resident of UK as at that time.

Do you get?

I actually get, but I think this should be directed at the person that said it was impossible to apply for a study permit within Canada...like austinpee pointed out, there are scenarios where it's very possible, that's all I was trying to say.
