God answer prayers if you believe and have faith, but sin can be a hindrance to prayers. If you want a positive result pray fervently, ensure that period you are clean I mean sin and God will answer. Remember God's way is different from man's his thought towards you is not of Evil

His answers can come speedily, it can come with time just a little patience and he can decide to overlook that request of ours maybe it's not best to our interest.

God created us and knows infinitely more than we know. He knows what is best for us, and what would not be good for us. If you have children, when they were very small, sometimes they asked for things that would not be good for them, or would harm them. For good reasons sometimes parents do not always give their children what they ask for, when they ask for it. Parents give them what is best for them.

Answered prayers is as a result of two things.
One is luck, But this rarely happens. we are lucky at times our wish comes to pass, When it does we assume it's the prayers.
Two, actually we work it out ourselves, eg, we read we pass, we take drug we get healed. Etc At the end they attribute it to one god like that that he answered their prayers. When it doesn't work they blame it on one Satan.
If prayers actually work, Nigeria would have been a better place, but we fail to know that those better countries actually labored to make their country a better place. Everything we wait on God to do it. Keep on waiting

In the few years i have known him, i have this mindset when asking things from him that is 'if u answer fine if u dont, it's ok'.
Many people (including me at a point and many atheists) have back slided because when we needed God to answer he just disappoint.
Then i would be depressed, hopeless until God began revealing reasons why he can't allow me get some of my request and i must say 'HE CARES And KNOWS HOW tO ANSWER EVEN BEFORE U ASK'
Next time u pray, do so from ur heart( i sometime pray tru my heart without uttering a word) with faith, WAIT FOR HIS REPLY(imagine u ask me for airtime and didnt wait for my reply and just believe i would give it) and if the answer delays ask him:
Never doubt HIM(he hates it) and LIVE a HOLY LIFE.
