attackgat:Gbagam... What even baffles me is why anyone will view the quest for an independent Biafra as a call to BATTLE. The OP, is a well known religious and tribal bigot and I am not surprised by what he wrote up there. The same people speaking against Kanu (whom I don't always agree with his tactics) will never condemn the murderous Fulani herdsmen. They will never condemn, the trigger happy armed forces men who kill harmless Nigerians with impunity. They will never condemn the Above the Law Arewa Youths. They will never condemn the FG who flagrantly disobey court rulings. And I can go on and on. Lastly, if Kanu's agitations is a call to battle, what of Zazzaky and his movement? Maclatunji. |

mpianya39:That's the million dollar question. That same line you quoted, I've heard it repeatedly from the mouths of unity beggars. Each time I wonder who the Bleep did Igbo offend up there in heaven that God cursed us with such brain dead people as our country's men. Like which of the angels did we offend? Honestly Nigerians continues to prove the statement racist whites has about black people accurate because only a very shallow minded, poor mentality nigger would think because "others are marginalized too and not just igbos" is a good defense against independence. Just because the rest of them accept the backwardneess that is nigeria as it is and also accept the slave mentality does not mean they should expect others to follow them in that part. The guy that made the crab in the box ideology when addressing blacks should look no farther than nigeria when looking for example. Unity beggars or one nigerian or whatever people call them nowadays are a perfect example of the black men crab in the box behavior. A huge perfect example |

maclatunji:You said intellectual? There was nothing intellectual about the trash you typed and therefore deserves a trashy response. We are tired of this union and we must have Biafra. Call it anything you like, that's your cup of tea. This coming from an Islamist fool like you makes it most nauseating. |

mpianya39:You don't get it, my point is that so called marginalization theory is no longer an excuse for secession. Nigeria's unity is non negotiable, but we can always debate the framework of the unity. |

Nonaira1:Nobody accepts the backwardness that is Nigeria, the country has always been debated and we must fight for a better Nigeria, criticize Nigeria all we want , but her unity is non negotiable. No right thinking President would say otherwise, even Jonathan used same words. |

Very well put! If only more advocates of Biafran independence were like you, able to put forward their case with eloquence and without needing to result to crude tribal insults. The truth is that there's a large hidden reservoir of support for Biafran secession even within those groups IPOB members love to hate most - particularly Yorubas - but the endless insults and accusations make it almost impossible to turn this into anything concrete; no one wants to lend their strength or risk their freedom and livelihoods for people who clearly hate them. As for the position of "maclatunji" and his likes, I'll just say that I find their viewpoint incomprehensible. Even if they believe so fervently in "One Nigeria" as they claim, why can't they see that the union they claim to love so much would have a better chance of preservation if it were reorganized so that all parts willingly chose to remain part of the country, instead of being kept against their will at gunpoint, in the name of supposedly sacred "inviolability"? Is the OP unable to see that the primary beneficiaries of the status quo of stagnation and state dysfunction are nothing but a few elites who get to keep access to the oil-money feeding trough? Kanu and IPOB have at least one thing right, if nothing else: Nigeria as presently constituted is a broken country, governed on faulty premises, and incapable of getting even basic things right. Either this setup is radically overhauled or it will collapse and be consigned to the trash heap of history, no matter how fervently certain parties mouth empty phrases about "indivisibility" and "inviolability". If Rome didn't last forever, neither will Nigeria. attackgat: |

krendo:The typical IPOB logic. 'The Igbos are the victims in Nigeria, they have been the ones building it, others have been destroyers and the solution is to disrupt the country at potential cost of millions of life '. It looks to me like Igbos are a major problem. Let's just look at one example, the last administration was a disaster of incredible proportions. Yet, the Igbos more than any other group including Jonathan's Ijaw sought to prop-up that government. They are still trying to justify the recklessness and abuse of that government 2 years after it was defeated in elections and replaced. Even the international community you are trying to bring into your Biafran agitation know this. I can go on and on. Let us stop here for now. |
