I actually ran away from home, but it was close to Christmas, so I went back because I couldn't even imagine doing X'mas in the streets. 5 Likes |

I tried. Didn't make it down the street because I wasn't allowed to cross it by myself. My parents said years later that they had the hardest time not laughing when I came back so shortly after storming out. 16 Likes 3 Shares |

I tried it as a kid back then too left home with the intention of never coming back, I went round the area, playing with any group of my agemates I see playing, till it started getting dark and I realised children don't play through the night cuz they all started going home one after the other and I couldn't find a single child to play with anymore needles to say, I went back home and luckily for me my parents were still not home yet so I acted like nothing happened and threw away the cloth I wore on that day cuz it would give me away if they saw how dirty it is 5 Likes 1 Share |

Beamborla:My mother beat the surname out of me when I was six just because I spent her #20 change on milk.I cried my liver out but mum didn't send so i gathered all my textbooks and cancelled my surname. I thought of running away but the only places I knew was my church and school.... I gave up Jare . My dad flogged me with cables cos Cane was a waste of time and resources on me. That was when I hated my father and gave up on him being my father. I decided to be an FBI agent, went into work and it paid off cos I found out so many info about my family but I was still stuck cos "baba" is my blood.i wanted to run but I knew my father would break my bones and still take me to the hospital. I just mellow. But now, I and my parents are pals...... 4 Likes |

in my case i was battling with depression, i wasn't happy so decided to run away after trekking for almost three hours, i remembered my mum, switched on.my phone and called her the first question she asked was, where are you? come back i will give you money she knew i loved spending money and the depression worsened when i was broke, i asked her how much she said any amount at last we agreed on five thousand. at that age the money was tempting so.i went back the love of money stopped me from running away and im glad i didn't. i thank God for my mum. 2 Likes |

I grew up with 2 sisters and the age gap wasn't that much. I was the 2nd but my sisters would gang up on me . I remember one day I locked myself in the bathroom for God to give me a brother and he did, 11 years later, lol. Worse I would report them to my mom or dad but they will laugh at me , so one day I decided to load my basket and leave, in broad day light o! My sisters were laughing at me and even helped me pack (Chai! Those girls were evil). It was a neighbour that was dragging my things so I'll get back home. I was barely 8 then. When my mom got back trust my sisters they told her. The beating eh, I can still feel it even while typing. The second time it was another family friend that caught me on our street and dragged me home even while I was fighting back, still 8/7 with no strength to fight back I chop beating like thief . Childhood was fun to be honest. But when it's time to play with my sisters I would do dressup and play the third girl, we fought just as we played. Kids this day don't know what Real fun is 12 Likes |
